When he died I literally stopped watching, it just wasn't the same after everyone started leaving. His death I literally cried. He just got everything he wanted and then it was gone.
@BP 27 Nah, after Mark Greene (played by Antony Edwards) died. He was the heart of the show. Granted, some great actors came aboard for a bit, it was never the same after Anthony Edwards left.
This don't even compare to Dr. Green's death! Anthony Edwards was ER. When Anthony left the show that started it's down fall. Season 9 was good thanks to Carter and Abby, but then Carter and the whole Africa bullshit happen and broke them up and then I was totally out. The writer's ruined ER after season 9.

This might sound odd. But it was Frank's reaction to Pratt's death that actually made me cry. Just reaching out to touch him one last time, and then watching him disappear forever.
God, this was sad! Just saw the episode again and I still cry when they wheel him down the corridor to the elivator... Pratt was such a great character, wish we could have seen him as chief of the ER!
Dr. Pratt' s death is one of the saddest things in ER. I can' t stop crying when I see his eyes full of tears and being aware of his life is over. It' s devastating. I' ve been warching the show since the beginning and all over the years. I don ' t like at all how guionists kill all our beloved doctors.

They brought in a new crop of fresh interns (none of which were likable), and Angela Bassett gave it the old college try as the new ER chief. It was time to pull the plug.
You should watch it all while you have the chance. You know how it is with these streaming services. One minute something is there then the next minute it's gone without warning
I wish Luka was in this episode. Greg Pratt was his mentee, and friend. Heck, Greg was his Best Man at Luby’s wedding. I get that he wasn’t a doctor but him coming into the hospital after the explosion was sad.
Catherine Gabriel Dr Pratt died in season 15 during the season premiere episode Life After Death. Later in the episode it was revealed Pratt was up for becoming the new Chief of the ER
Watching for the first time. Thanks to MAX, I have binged watched ER from episode 1 and of all of the deaths, this one hit me hardest. I don't know why. Mark Greene's residency and death was more impactful to the show's success. I loved Romano's departure...Karma is a B. Gallant, Gant, and Knight were footnotes at best. I bawled my eyes out watching Greg brain dead on the bed. Solid departure from a long running, successful TV show. Had the series continued for more years, his departure would have been wasted but now in the final season, wow, what a way to go!
I've always said this is a side effect of mark Greene's death after they got the guts to kill him off which was a huge gamble they started killing off characters left and right. Gallant romano Pratt
Just saw the this episode today but I already knew what happened bc accidently seen it on youtube last night. Even though I saw this coming it still got me depressed😢
The ambulance was transporting a patient who was in the withness protection program. Pratt was in the ambulance cause the patient wasn´t completly stable yet...
its weird, i never expected to cry during this episode like i had with dr. greene's death. but that scene where archie gives bettina the ring that pratt was going to use to propose with, i broke out into tears. i think what made it so sad was how his life was finally coming together. i wish they would have gone about killing him in a more realistic way (such as a car accident rather than the mob thing). i hate it when shows over do it.
ER still to this day Is hands down the number 1 medical television series ever made.... no other medical television series can top it.

This was the sadden death since Mark Greene's death.
What about Gallant? He was the one blown up by an IED who was serving in the military.
We didn't see Gallant die though. And the fact Pratt knew he was gonna die was even worse.

Greg Pratt died today (September 25) on ER in 2008.
To My mind......ER was the best serie around the world....and still today it is and forever it will be the best serie!
@Lien1810 He was alive, but he had internal injuries. What hurts me so much is that look in his eyes, knowing his time was up.
