I saw an interesting video on chronographs by Average Jack Archery a while back. He tested the same bow (draw length and weight) and same arrows, with three different chronographs and saw speeds from 300fps to 360fps. My takeaway was that numbers can be misleading when it comes to bow speed. You've hit the nail on the head many times before in your videos when you say that the most important factor is stability, and practice. Gettin those reps in. That being said, I love the speed tests. It's part of your whole process and contributes to the best, and most unbiased, bow reviews on TH-cam. Those Garmins seem to have become the standard when it comes to speed testing so I'm glad you've got one now and look forward to seeing it used in your future tests. Cheers.
Hell yeah brother. 1st comment. I have the ProChrono and it seems pretty consistent. Neat that you can you test between two types of chronos to see how close they are!
If you drop his arrow down to around 380-420 total arrow weight, he definitely hit the 200s. My son pulls 40lbs and shoots a 380 grain arrow and gets an average about 224’ per second. Good luck on the hunt. Look forward to watching it.
The Garmin needs 10-20 yards of arrow flight for accurate results (the instructions say 20 yards, but that's because of rifles. 10 usually does it with arrows). It can't be placed with something blocking it like you did for the test.

That’s exactly what we did I think he now is shooting 420’s and is right above 200
I think I’ll hold off and let the wife “surprise” me with one under the Christmas tree.
What release is that you use that has that dial to tighten it up?
