    This was very helpful to me! I am new to the Steamdeck and even BT Controllers, so I was suprised how well all of them worked with the SD. Thank you!

    I currently main a stadia controller with my Steamdeck although I think I’m gonna buy a ps5 controller since I need extra controllers to play with my friends and since a local game store is selling a used ps5 controller and I’ll be able to trade in my amibos that I don’t use anymore to get it for no additional cost

      I’ve use the Stadia one for a long time as my Steam Deck controller but it’s definitely an upgrade

    Update for Stadia: You can download a firmware patch right now that enables Bluetooth mode, but it is unreversable, so it'll never work in Stadia mode ever again.

    • @TheTechUnravel
      @TheTechUnravel  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Indeed. That’s how I use it with the Steam Deck. There is also an old video I made about how to enable bluetooth for it

    How is the steamdeck as a stansalone docked console when using Bluetooth controller? Eg. Can you use Emudeck to exit games and navigate to menu without having to use the stream deck buttons and menu? (get up from couch)

    • @TheTechUnravel
      @TheTechUnravel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m mostly using the Stadia controller with my Steam Deck as it works via bluetooth now and it has all the buttons that I need and most known controllers have them but you can always customise the controllers if something is missing. And in this way you can do what you asked for

    Can you try jamming the sn30 pro into the hole in the back of the OEM Steamdeck case?

    I’m not sure if this would help anyone or not; but I connected my pro controller 3 months ago and never used it after as I’m moving and packed most of my stuff already, including my dock. I was packing my pro controller yesterday and it turned my steam deck on 😅
    My point being, the pro controller stays connected.

    I don't understand your argument in 6:15
    In both cases, 8bitdo and switch controllers seems to have inverted layout, you said that one of them doesn't?

    • @TheTechUnravel
      @TheTechUnravel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ll try to better explain. The physical buttons on both are for the Nintendo layout but software wise it only changes with the joy-cons. So with them you get the exact mapping from the Nintendo Switch. And it even matches the controllers on the screen (if it says press A, then you need to press the A button).
      However, with the 8 bitdo, even though it has the Nintendo layout, when you need to press A, you actually have to press B. That’s because it sees it as an “xbox” controller. I also mentioned this in the beginning of the video when I connected the 8bitdo.
      Summary: joycon has the Switch layout, 8bitdo had the Steam layout

      Ah, ok. Thank you! :)
      So does changing the 4 position switch on the back of the controller change anything?
      In any case, if someone wants to have the nintendo layout, remapping the position in the steam controller menu should fix everything.

      @@MCgranat999 At the time I only managed to make it working with that input and I haven't tried since. But yes, changing the order is easy to do

      @@TheTechUnravel You’re welcome. I’m now reading that DS4 controllers have Sixaxis support on the PS3 emulator RPCS3, so DS4 should be able to mimic motion controls on the Steam Deck now.
