    Thanks for sharing your perspective! I think you made a wise choice. IMO Grad school especially business school is really about having the experience more than learning the course content.

    I studied abroad in London for my Master’s degree at LSE. It was worth it, even with the student loans. Our alumni community back here in the US has a sizable number of people, which is has been great. I’d say anyone considering grad school abroad should go for it. 😃

    I did my Master's at the American College of Greece in Athens Greece! It was weird at times because some time was spent online due to Covid; hello zoom! But I resonate so much with your video both the pros and cons of what you mentioned. Very nice to see another American think like me in this choice to study abroad and do a Master's abroad! :) :)

    Thanks for sharing your point of view on this very important topic. I got my Master in Political Science in Italy, and though I loved it.... If I would have the chance to go back in time, well I would chose to do a Master in an english speaking Country and would be more careful in choosing the entity. In my field of work, the reputation of the school counts maybe more than the title itself. Take care and keep safe

    It’s all so subjective! I also studied abroad and earned my Master’s from UCL and I definitely regret it. My program was dreadful, I didn’t make good professional connections and UCL hasn’t been supportive as an alumni network. However, I did end up landing a well-paying job in London (though not my dream job by any means!) and it was my dream to live in London so that’s amazing and I met the love of my life while studying at UCL - which of course I’m grateful for. But academically and professionally, I think it was a major major waste of money. Every time I see how much debt I racked up by going to UCL I literally want to crawl in a corner and cry LOL. But to be fair, my partner also went to UCL and loved it and found it extremely helpful in his career path. If I could turn back time, maybe I would have chose a different programme because perhaps mine was just terrible.

    I'm sorry if this is asked quite regularly.
    I recently applied for Exeter and wasn't really expecting to get accepted and yet I got into MSc Mgmt and Marketing.
    I was wondering which degree would you recommend personally.
    I'm leaning toward Management since it includes Marketing.
    I also have an offer from QMUL.
    Is there an advantage of getting a degree from a Uni of London College? Both QMUL and Exeter are Russel group though.
    Also as a side note, I have an honours in English too! I had a cheeky smile when you mentioned you have a major in English 😇

    • @bykchoi
      @bykchoi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Based on limited knowledge I would say management since it’s more broad and applicable to more types of jobs - but if you specifically want to do marketing then maybe marketing is better. As far as Exeter vs QMUL I’m not sure which is the “better” uni. If they are quite similar then it probably comes down to cost and where you want to live

    Hi!! ¨̮ First of all, thank you so much for such an informative video¨̮ I’m also thinking about going to grad-school in london, but I am a bit worried that it’ll be tricky for me to get a job (outside of the uk) because (like you said) even if the uni is well known in the uk/europe, it’s usually not the case in the states. Do companies still recognize the school?Or is this just more of a casual-not well known- thing like you said?
    Thanks again and i am loving your channel! X

    • @bykchoi
      @bykchoi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess it depends on where you are trying to get a job and at what stage of your career. I feel like in the US, your university is not as important, especially as you become more experienced. So it’s probably most important for when you’re getting a job right after undergrad (but even then, internship experience is more important - your university can play a factor in internship opportunities, though). So if you’re going to grad school right after undergrad then the uni is probably more important than if you have a few years of experience under your belt. But even then, marginally so (in my opinion). Obviously a good/super well known school will give you a leg up in a sense but i feel like your experience/story is more important.

    Hey kchoi, I really liked your content and your videos!
    I got a question regarding content creation and working as a consultant. I'm currently in the first year of my masters degree, and I'd love to work in consulting (MBB / Big 4) after graduating. However, I really want to get into making TH-cam videos, since it's a dream I've had since years. It would mainly consist of food / travel / lifestyle vlogging.
    I'm wondering if you know whether there are rules that forbid making this type of content, or if MBB firms will be less likely to hire you, if at all, if you make this content.
    Thank you so much for your answer in advance :)

    • @bykchoi
