    Thanks for making this. Most of the people watching are probably not professional movers and trying to find an easy way to move things on their own. Thank you for the tip.

    Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

    I've worked since 2017 as a professional mover in Chicago and currently work for one of best companies in the city. On good day I stand 5 foot 8 and weigh 190 lbs wet. 3 weeks ago I bravely pressed a credenza up 3 flights of stairs with my co-worker that weighed about 225 lbs with my shoulder but that's due to the fact my boss refuses to get a two wheel dolley. Good job gentlemen and I wish we had this type of equipment at my company. Work smart not hard. Proper preparation prevents poor performance.

    Please send this to the movers at Lowe's in Tampa as they have no idea how to move a refrigerator up my stairs. The dimensions on yours are identical to mine, but they didn't wrap the fridge or use a dolly to transport...just two clueless guys trying to carry it. It didn't work and they damaged my stairs and walls, so now I'm waiting on a second moving crew. Thanks for sharing your video. I'll show it to the next movers.

      Well the problem is it's all depending on what resources a company has available. Example wrap, tape, blankets, extra long dolly. If you go to a moving help that's exactly what they are. Help. You truly get what you pay for. Materials cost

    Good video but not the safest way to move that dresser. I would have used an Appliance dolly/reefer dolly so that I can strap dresser securely. Or probably just easier to grab and go with another helper. Also I work with several Mexican/South American movers, and they are the hardest, most dependable, honest guys that I know. I'm Black and proud to call these guys my brothers. Much luck to you guys.

      @@sarahgaffney2183 You don't progress in the moving industry by moving dressers upstairs by yourself. You progress by using your brains and not taking a chance on hurting yourself or someone else so that you can work another day. In my twenty plus years working in this industry I've seen many guys hurt themselves unnecessarily by doing stupid things. I retired last year, and still have my health and no back problems. Because I used my brains just as much as my muscles.

    The real challenge is finding a dolly with those nice large air filled tires. Uhaul and home depot have those small plastic caster wheels and they are a pain in the ass. Even just a door step! I just moved my 4 bedroom house this past week.... Next time I'm hiring packers and movers cause that was the worst 5 days of my life, packing and moving 100 degrees outside with 80% humidity.

    This was helpful. Thank you. I am going to move a gas oven up the basement staircase . I will use a dolly. I removed all the grates, 4 burners, the 3 wire shelves and the steal (with glass window) door. I taped the electric plug to the center of the backsplash control panel so I doesn’t get damaged. I checked the rubber/plastic feet to avoid ruining my hardwood floor. I removed the doors which were in the path to avoid scratching them. I cleaned the path to move it outside. I will place the dolly along the side of the oven, and pull it tight, maybe taping it. I can’t believe how light the GE oven is when it’s stripped down! I will wear rubberized gloves to keep the appliance from slipping so important and this shouldn’t be missed. I am going to see if I can remove the door hinges to avoid damaging my colonial molding around the doors.
    When I bring it up the staircase I will place the wall side to my non-dominant side and pull the dolly with my right hand using the handrail. I like the idea with the duct tape. Than you, stay safe 😊

You gotta pick that thing up like two strong PROFESSIONAL movers and carry it up there!! By far the safest way. If professional movers show up to your house and start strapping your furniture on dollys and banging em against your stairs throw them out!!! Great job but i don't suggest an amateur mover attempting this by himself. This risk is greater than the reward. You drop that piece down the stairs and now youre doing that move for free

    The guy should be helping him push it up behind the dresser! To me that’s professional moving and o yeah he went down the ramp 🤦‍♂️⭐️⭐️

    • @truthseekerKJV
      @truthseekerKJV 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dressers are really not that heavy when using the right dolly that's equipped with slides that enable the dolly to slide easily up the stairs.
      The second man pushing up on the dresser can actually cause the load to be heavier for the guy on top, plus pushing up on the load can actually cause the dolly to separate from the dresser causing big problems.
      The second man should have at least went up with him as a spotter in case something went wrong.

      You are supposed to push it into the handtruck as a spotter then the person lifting can just lift and not worry about it coming off
