The Amazing Moment Elephant Bull, Jabulani Chases Away a Huge Herd of Buffalo

- HERD is located in a private reserve which encompasses 16 thousand plus hectares, and incorporates Jabulani and other lodges. Jabulani guests are witness to unique moments in the bush at the waterhole as the Jabulani herd of elephants in our care at HERD arrive for daily swims and drinks. This was one such moment, at the waterhole with Jabulani as he chases off an entire herd of buffalo, fearlessly! Jabulani ranger, Reece was kind to share the footage with us. We know you prefer the quiet moments without guests, but we had to share this with you as these encounters are always so educational and entertaining.

I love his trumpeting and his ears swaying while he shook his head. He truly looks like he was giving those buffalo a serious telling-off. Thanks for sharing. 😁

Mighty Jabulani. Loving and sweet but fierce and strong when the situation requires it. He didn't want to harm them. He simply said "Alright, time to get going" He was herding them away. What an incredible video. Jabu, sweet boy, you are amazing. ❤️

I like to read most if not all comments and i also was watching the last 2 W B trot slowly away--to me, a purposeful gesture by our large herd Bull E. No doubt about it , J can really get smaller wildlife herds to move away from the Water Hole with his Enormous Trumpet Blasts--so the Herd group(of all sizes) can safely use the Water Hole. They aren't there long, and the WB can move out of the bush again into the water if they want to. Thanks for posting.

Jabu is fearless!!! We have seen him run off a bunch of lions by himself also shared by Ranger Reece...but this is jaw dropping...showcasing his absolute confidence and no fear attitude! There is no doubts he is number 2 in charge! Also Lundi behind him if help is needed (a fearless cow also) Family protection is inate in these beautiful creatures! A side of Jabu we don't often see! I adore Jabu...and this clip makes me respect and love him even more! Thank You Ranger Reece!!! ❤❤❤

Jabu today was not in a conciliatory mood and the Buffalos quickly got the message straight He had brought out the whole panoply; the impressive trumpeting, flapping his ears loudly, making the ground tremble under his feet. The Rhinos did not procrastinate The funniest thing besides Jabu's bravery were the last two Buffalos in Hyena mode the rear end as low as can be "Yes, we're leaving straight away Big Chief " 🤣😂
Jabulani 🐘 sure knows how to make an entrance. 🤣🤣 He sure did make a lot trumpeting noise as well as puffing himself up with his ears and shaking his head to make himself look bigger. I guess he told those buffalo 🐃 who was boss 😂.❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️

I saw Jabu and Sebakwe chasing lions away from their family. They moved so quick you could barely see them. They don't play at all about their family.😊❤❤🐘🐘

We don't often see Jabulani take this firm a stand, but that trumpeting would scare the heck out of most of us! He meant business and wasn't about to back down. But his sweeter side came through, too as he let the young buffalos pass quietly by. Way to go Luntz, you sauntered over there so gently to back Jabu up, but he did it all by himself. Now I know why the HERD is aptly named Jabulani!

That was hilarious! Jabulani didn't start making a real ruckus until the buffalo were running away! He was like, "that's right!". Then 2 buffalo casually saunter past at the end...like they all know this is for show!!

The Herds waited for their turn at the water hole. So chief Jabulani make sure that the water buffaloes time is over and make sure that they leave. It is interesting to see that he just shooed them with his loud trumpet and flapping his ears, shaking his head but at the sametime keeping out of the way while the buffaloes stampeed away from the waterhole. His job was finally done and they can enjoy the waterhole in the hot weather.

Wasn't that cool? I love to hear them trumpet with their ears flapped forward and swinging that trunk around. Did you see the video 3 weeks ago where Adine met up with 2 rhinos she had bottle fed? We do not get to see it too often but Lundi is definitely Tokwe's #2 when it comes to the females. A few weeks ago she quickly followed her friend to check if the wild ellies were nearby and if they posed a threat. She just went up against rhinos and now ready to help Jabu if he needed it.
