I grew up camping with my family in a white 1964 Ford Econoline Travelwagon from 1964-1970. It was the best/worst vehicle my family ever had. It was almost as gutless as the classic VW microbus, but boiled over alot on grades and had to be accessed from inside the cab to fill the radiator. This was a hot, stinky and inconvenient proposition. My Dad believed this was largely caused by aftermarket air-conditioner installed by the dealership that had the AC condenser installed in front of the radiator (it was supposed to have factory AC). Also, it only got 8-10 MPG which ultimately caused my Dad to unceremoniously trade it in for a 1970 Ford Cortina stationwagon. I would sure love to see one in-person now!

Old VW buses are all the rage but they drive like crap compared to American vans of the same era.
i had a '66 VW camper, '64 Greenbriar van, and '71 Dodge van.
