1966 Supervan was my grades 11 and 12 wheels 1973-75. 132,000-155,000 miles and ran great, no other mechanical issues. I was extremely careful with it knowing front seat occupants were right at the scene of any front end crash.

Very nice, my first van when I was 16 years old was a 63 Ford Econoline I’ve been in love with vans ever cents.

Back about 1985 my dad bought a 1964 Econoline van which originally had been a camper conversion, though the cabinets and everything had been removed. It had the same pop up top as this one. The top always leaked when it rained. My dad put a bigger engine in it and we used it to travel back and forth multiple times between Michigan and Florida. Worst thing about it was there was no interior paneling or insulation, and the little box heater in the front could not keep it warm in the back. So in Northern Michigan’s winter weather we hung a blanket behind the engine cover and all four of us sat up front. My brother and I took turns riding on the front or back of the engine cover. I would buy another if I could.

Very nice, ten times more reliable and faster than a VW bus. I converted a 1965 Ford Econoline van in the winter of 1976/77 to a camper. That truck had been a 'Coca Cola' delivery vehicle for ten years, yet it drove all the way to Florida from Michigan and back. All that on it's original motor and trans. We lived in it for a month on the beach at Daytona with a five year old child.

@@vet-7174 No, I bought a nice southern 1988 Ford E350 that was sent new to Quigley in PA. For a factory 4x4 conversion. The van only has 62,000 one owner miles on it. I built a camper interior in it with bamboo flooring, mahogany bathroom, galley and knotty pine ceiling over a rear double bed ( this is a factory extended length van with a small lift).

My family owned a 1964 Ford Travelwagon from when it was new to 1970 when my Dad traded it in when he finally got sick of it overheating and getting 8 MPG. It was the best/worst camping vehicle ever. I now live full time in a 2018 Winnebago View that is roomy, comfortable and dependable by comparison and gets 16 MPG.
