  • In June of 2023 we took a trip to Friendship, Indiana, the muzzleloading capital of the world! What we saw was AMAZING to say the least! Come along and see all the fun that is THE FRIENDSHIP FLEA MARKET, twice a year in June and September!

I love to see the kids interested in this stuff . Just today I commented on a video about negativity toward a Civil War Reenactment in Sacramento Calif. I was also watching a very good video on the Battle of Chickamauga in which all the reenactors were young kids and I was Very impressed with the amount of participation and enthusiasm. Today as of 05/03/2024 We are faced with historical misinformation being fed to Our kids in many public schools that makes our young people susceptible to being exploited by subversives who are hostile to all of Our values . When I see good parents like You involved with Your kids and getting them interested in Our history through fun activities it reassures Me that another great generation will accept the torch of freedom Handed to them. I am reminded of the closing scene of Big Jim Maclain where Noah Webster asks “ How Stands The Union” and John Wayne watching Marines board a ship replies “ There Stands The Union Mr. Webster”. So it is when I see Your Son and other Kids like Him interested in History and living History i am encouraged that there is hope for this Country. I wish You had showed the little fart doing that growling when the old guy was showing His rifle.

The older gentleman coming up and giving your son the pistol absolutely is awesome. I never did much with Black Powder but grew up in my fathers gun shop, and even today when I set up at gun shows I make sure to try to do something for the kids to make sure to keep the sport alive. What that man just did was absolutely that, and sure to become a core memory for your son.

Glad to see a young man and his son excited about muzzleloading . I agree I’m afraid it’s dying and that will be sad. With your channel just keep reaching out to the youth of America.

Very cool channel. I just watched the one where you went to a museum. The comments section is turned off for some reason. That place was awesome.

I once knew a man named Dave Bratton that used to primitive camp in his tee pee and shot competitively there. Looks like a great time! Lorenzo TX

I've been in muzzle loading since the late 70s and it seems that every time I make the 5 hour drive from Chicago, that there are fewer shooters, and even fewer vendors on commercial row, one thing that the NMLRA has going for it is there are no developers interested in buying the property for development why? Because the darn place has floods of biblical proportions every time it rains! The last time I was there I shot relays in the morning, and left at noon just as it started to rain, a video taken just one hour after I left showed that my campsite, was the only thing that wasn't totally underwater!

These good folks keep alive great traditions and skills of yore that can be useful today. 40 year Scouter. Hard to find a place to shoot in FL. Too built up. MO is a great place for BP bte.

Love BP. In Jeff City, MO had sub range at Sportsmen Club plus in south county is a free range for pistol, shotgun and BP. Toilets, stands with cover and a fishing lake. Atta boy! For Cole County. But now in FL and no place to shoot bp. Nice indoor ranges but dont allow Muzzle loaders or any black powder. 😢 have 3 rifles that are just decorations. You are from FL, where do u shoot? I am west of Tampa.
