My mom used to be a vendor there, 20 years ago they used to have real horses and even a zebra in the corrals and even further back than that they used to have stagecoach rides. My great aunt sells gliders there now. I always thought they added the fiberglass animals because of Jungle Jim's popularity.
If you like flea markets Jacob, there's one in Brookville Indiana that's called Whitegate farms, it's open on Wednesdays from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00. It's a rural flea market, they sell livestock and a lot of antique items there's also a really large flea market in Lucasville Ohio, they do it four times a year and it's huge! Some people have to camp out just to get in! It's called Lucasville Traders day.
The jacket you had in question that was framed in the Elvis section was the jacket Elvis was wearing the day he was drafted.

Turtle Creek is another huge flea market on the other side of rt 75 towards Monroe. It's not called that anymore but those two flea markets played off each other. Monroe is my home stomping grounds
Yes- it's called Treasure Aisles now, but the last time I was there, there was still some turtle imagery from when it was Turtle Creek.
You with the 5 dollar footlong Jesus as we call him locally, was the absolute highlight of my week! The waving from the foot was priceless. The butter Jesus was struck by lightning( I know there’s a joke here) years ago. Glad to see you in my area. Safe Travels!

That place was huge, but there are people probably still wandering trying to find the exit!!! How's rosebud handling I always love the smell of a new car, it always sends happy endorphins to my brain!!! Lol. Drive safe love your videos!!!

Col Parker was a fraud. He used Elvis. And Elvis felt an undying loyalty to him because he felt Col Parker was the reason he got discovered. He was never a Colonel and wasn’t even from the U.S. I remember when I was young, my mom and dad expressed extreme disdain for Col. Parker’s mismanagement of Elvis’ career and money. I was 17 when Elvis died. Mom and dad were both devastated. His music is timeless. How have you never seen Little House on the Prairie? It’s such an iconic piece of American tv. You’ve got to watch at least ONE episode!!

My uncle was in Army with Elvis . he said he was just a kid but very humble. He never acted like he was famous.

I loveeeee this Flea Market, its never ending. I go there to add to my Frankenstein/Universal Monsters Collection and they never disappoint.

If you’re looking for more Ohio places I can’t help but recommend Carriage Hill, Armstrong Air and Space museum and Foy’s Costume shops!
loveland castle, king's island, carillon park, and calvary cemetery. might as well stop by the hamburger wagon in miamisburg, wright patt. it's not like there's nothing to do here, but 'some people' want to think we're some flyover area.
Turtles would druther be at Turtle World. Across the highway is another flea market that used to be called Turtle Creek (now Treasure Aisles) flea market, kind of a dig at their competitor at the time. I’m glad you enjoyed Skyline Chili, lots of out-of-state TH-camrs make fun of it and dislike it. You can ask for a small 3 way to still enjoy and cut carbs a little. People make skyline dip at home, get a disposable aluminum pan, cover bottom with spread out block of cream cheese, pour warmed chili over that and cover with mild shredded cheese and bake until cheese melts, eat with tortilla chips. Delicious!
Good seeing you at Traders World. I have been there several times. I used to sell stuff at Turtle Creek Flea Market across the road. LOL Cool seeing the Pop up Elvis Museum. I have never seen that there before. When my Dad was in the Army. Elvis was coming into Germany. When he was leaving. I look forward to seeing where you went to today.

I love Trader's World! We used to stop by nearly every year, used to be more old stuff rather than new. They used to have a live zebra back in the 90's Thanks for sharing!
"Druther" is short form for "would rather." An offshoot of this is the phrase, "if I had my druthers." First time I heard it was in the Primus song, "DMV."

Alternate take on the turtle quip - I always took it as a cheeky reference to their competition - there used to be a Turtle Creek flea market (now treasure aisles) right across the interstate.

Good stuff Jacob. My brother and sister-n-law used to set up outside at Trader's World and sell things years ago. Trader's World just isn't what it used to be in it's heyday before the internet and ebay put a giant dent in the Flea Markets sales. Touchdown Jesus was struck by lightening because they did not have him properly grounded. The current Jesus statue is grounded right and should not suffer the same fate. I am glad you got some rest and enjoyed some Skyline Chili. Other places in Cincy to get chili is Gold Star, Blue Ash Chili and Camp Washington Chili.
Maybe they grounded the second one as the proverbial Hail Mary play to keep it from getting fried again. 😀
i sold on the outside a bit, but i used to really do turtle creek before it caught fire and changed. made a lot of money there.

I grew up with my grandparents selling fish to Jungle Jim for groceries, and my mom having me help hunt for Rookwood, and Roseville pottery at the outside Traders World booths.

I almost went to Traders world on Sunday. It's nice to see it from a perspective from someone who hasn't ever been there.
If heading north Ohio. East side 10 covered bridges. Cleveland Christmas movie house, multiple things there. Cool West end market -old open building market variety of things and food. Sandusky has Cedar Point starts may has the most coasters. Coasters tallest, wooden, water. Theme areas...Plan a trip... go from lighthouse to lighthouse on Lake Erie. Just suggestions

I was just there a month ago visiting family and that place is huge inside! I had gotten a lot of great deals and the ice cream was delicious. I seen everything ya showed in the video and loved reading the signs above as well. Oh ppl setting up outside now as I’ll have to make another trip just to walk around outside now. You can see some pretty cool, neat stuff at Traders World Flea Market, in Lebanon, Ohio. Enjoy the hunt! lol ♥️

I worked down there for a little over 5 months back in mid 2000's and loved visiting there. Definitely Shocked to hear about the Butter Jesus. Was always amazing driving by and seeing it. Safe Travels and keep it between the lines. 😊

Hi Jacob. Very interesting. Really enjoyed ths one. Loved the Traders World. That would be a place i would go as often as possible and spend hours walking and looking around. Loved the fiberglass figures outside that draw people in.

I dont recall ever seeing a video of you going to a flea market before? but you should totally do more of this! I mean... do whatever you want ;) im not trying to tell you what to do. but I'm a big fan of flea market youtube videos. Maybe you could swing over to Rogers, Ohio to the Rogers Flea Market sometime soon. It's like the biggest one in ohio i think Something like 1600 vendors, and 250 acres. Im going to be going out there soon to source some inventory for a store im opening. (I've never been). Oh and also, that clown....nope..just nope...😬🤣

The plaid jacket was given to a fluke Holland at a car dealership one day when Elvis went in to look at new cars. Pretty interesting story noone knows about. He just gave it away.

They should call the cabin "Little House On The Parking Lot". One of my friends dad's, was in the same unit as Elvis in Germany. He had some interesting stories to tell. Basically, he said Elvis got a lot of special treatment .
What a trip to see people talk about this as a kid we used to have to commute from Hamilton to Cincinnati so we used to go here all the time and seeing the big butter Jesus before it got struck by lightning and was rebuilt to the 5-dollar footlong Jesus and seeing traders world is such a blast from the past and I'm glad to get confirmation that it wasn't a childhood fever dream

Oh, one other note notice you’re over at solid rock Church it’s fun you’re lucky security was not out there getting you off their property. What you don’t realize or don’t know if or maybe you do know there is a women’s shelter right next-door to that Jesus icon thing, young women, who are pregnant or young women, who have been abused last I heard so.

One of my favorite places to go during the weekends at traders' world You may have missed it, but they have the best fried Chicken and fudge in Ohio And it's been a while since I've been there. The elvis museum as new It's the first time i've heard of it
This place reminds me of Traders Village in Grand Prairie, Tx but it’s outside and Big T Bizarre in Dallas which is inside
