Was practicing the beginner pattern and on the first outside loop not sure what happened, I guess I just "dumb thumbed" it right into the ground!! Plane is destroyed....oh well, SV-11 on the way.
Wow man, I feel your pain! I did, seriously, the EXACT same thing to my Goldberg Shoestring a week ago! I now have a Top Flite Flite Streak that I am practicing with.
Yeah, I sure planted that one! This one was destroyed so ended up having to get another one which was the SV-11, I'm sure you saw what happened to that one. Damn....
Yeah, it sure sucks doesn't it!?! Did you see the other one where the line let go? Damn man, first flight with the plane and the crimp let go on the handle cable and down she went. That got me a little frustrated and I put them away for a while but am getting the urge to get back in the air.
Hey, I'm a 15 year-old teen, and I don't like mouthing off!!! But you are all to right, a lot of teens like me do like to mouth off on YT! -Nice crash by the way, did almost the same thing with one of mine...
Hey, yeah you are right; ton's of em here on YT, it's so bad that half the time I can't tell if someone is being serious or mouthing off. Well it sounds like you've got a pretty good head on your shoulders, thank you for the comment! Oh, yeah, if there's one thing I'm good at doing it is crashing! ;)
@cayman1959 Sucks doesn't it! I didn't rebuild this one but instead built an SV-11, did you watch the video on what happened to it on the first day of test flying?? If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all...
Hi Mike, well the lines do twist but if you do the same amount of loops in the opposite direction it untwists the lines. But, control lines still fly fine with some twists in the line, well until you do what I did in this video anyway!! lol.
@briant89 One of those moments for me that's for sure! I think I was flying a little too slow and lost tension in the lines just for a second, of course it was at the worst time too-then....el cruncho!
Yes sir, that one hurt for sure! Wow, you've been flying a long time, I'm sure you've planted a few as well, shoot it's all part of the fun. Thanks for the kind comment!
Actually, I'm just in the process of getting back into control line, I put them up for years, for R/C, I'm gonna run my old planes for a while till I get my muscle memory back. I'm really interested in The Electric powered control line planes, If for nothing else but to keep it clean and be reliable thru all maneuvers. I was speaking with an active control line flyer today, he flies several electric's. Actually, the way I fly radio is usually under telephone pole height and lower, so that doesn't leave much room for error. Usually a mechanical problem would get me first, but I do enjoy a good crash, even if it's mine, yours was just so unexpected even knowing the title of the video, I have had that exact same crash. Forgive my not knowing, but what are you guy's shooting video with, Cell phones ? I do want to start posting video's if I can figure it out, Thanks.
beware off the dreaded worn pushrod mine come off bell crank , ended up looking like yours, now I fit m3 retainer clip, u could fix plane iam still learning and I have crashed 3 times but rebuild and fix her every time . shes a real Frankenstein.
Same thing happened to me with my Nobeler- outside loop - she quit rotating while vertical- same result- but I did rebuild her- not as pretty as she once was.
@dirtbikeracer520 Bummer, if we're going to wad them up it's always cool to catch it on film. I was lucky and my wife caught it on film, of course she knows the chances are good that I'll screw up so ya better have the camera rolling! lol.
Ha ha, no problem man. Shoot, nice to actually see someone on YT with the balls to man up! I figured you probably do have the experience but at first just thought you were one of the typical YT kids talking shit. Thanks for the reply and being cool about it!
Priceless. Her response has made this one of my all-time favorites!! Thank you for sharing this video! We've all been there!
Ha ha, thank you for the nice comment! She's a riot that's for sure and has seen me wad up more planes and helicopters than you can imagine.
Part of the hobby we all been there and will be there again.
Wow, that was a lawn dart. A very pretty, lawn dart. Sorry brother... Love the attitude tho !!!!! It's all a journey. Good stuff.
Yeah I stock that one pretty good! No worries, I'm pretty well known for "Lawn Darting", it's sort of become my nick name! ha ha.
Wow man, I feel your pain! I did, seriously, the EXACT same thing to my Goldberg Shoestring a week ago! I now have a Top Flite Flite Streak that I am practicing with.
Ouch. I had a similar incident with my Peacemaker a couple of months back. Now rebuilt and flying better than before.
Yeah, I sure planted that one! This one was destroyed so ended up having to get another one which was the SV-11, I'm sure you saw what happened to that one. Damn....

I’ve crashed way worse. I’ve crashed so hard that the engine was all that was salvaged
Yeah after too many in one direction it begins to get a little tougher. The line is actually steel wire though so it's pretty slick.
Build, Fly, Crash, Rebuild.
Flying planes means fixing planes. So it goes.
Roboprogs No fixing that one, it was totaled.
Sorry. It was indeed a spectacular spray of parts :-(
Yeah, I'm sort of good at spectacular wrecks! No biggie though, as long as we're having fun!
They can always be rebuilt. I had one in similar shape after a crash that I still fly to this day
SL Mitch Mitchell from Tasmania has done this many times.
@dieselmac You have to admit that I did a fantastic job at lawn darting this one! That sound is well, you put it best.
@cayman1959 Sucks doesn't it! I didn't rebuild this one but instead built an SV-11, did you watch the video on what happened to it on the first day of test flying?? If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all...
Man, I seem to have more than my fair share, oh well, it's still a ton of fun! Thanks for the comment!
Based on your wingover, you entered the outside on the wrong side of the wind. Also learn to enter you outside inverted.
Tony, LOOK AT THE PEICES !!! LOL
I assume that even if you don't make any mistakes, there is a limit to how much you can do it though?
Hi Mike, well the lines do twist but if you do the same amount of loops in the opposite direction it untwists the lines. But, control lines still fly fine with some twists in the line, well until you do what I did in this video anyway!! lol.
I did the same thing learning outside loops to, the only hing different was my plane basicly exploded on impact.
@briant89 One of those moments for me that's for sure! I think I was flying a little too slow and lost tension in the lines just for a second, of course it was at the worst time too-then....el cruncho!
Ouch, That even hut me to watch, I know how it feels, Having flown Control line for some 50 years.
Yes sir, that one hurt for sure! Wow, you've been flying a long time, I'm sure you've planted a few as well, shoot it's all part of the fun. Thanks for the kind comment!

Yeah those can get you but this was a good ole "dumb thumb" right into the ground, totally my fault. Thanks for the comment!
@XpressMeeee Ha ha, thank you! I had to work at that one. ;)
Some five minute epoxy ,and superglue and you will be flying in no time 👍
I wish, that plane is long gone but it was a great flyer.
Talking from experience as I went through many tubes of 5 min epoxy and countless bottles of superglue ..happy days
Same thing happened to me with my Nobeler- outside loop - she quit rotating while vertical- same result- but I did rebuild her- not as pretty as she once was.
It'll buff right out. LOL
@SubSailor700 Yeah, getting pretty good at breaking the damn things that's for sure!
@magnum09 Ha ha, yeah, gotta "love" those figure 9's!!
@dirtbikeracer520 Bummer, if we're going to wad them up it's always cool to catch it on film. I was lucky and my wife caught it on film, of course she knows the chances are good that I'll screw up so ya better have the camera rolling! lol.
CONGRATS!!
Not sure I see the point of the USA comment. Yes, we live in the USA and are damn proud of it.
Must have been radio failure. Well that's what most of the flyers I know say.
Ha ha, wish I could've used that excuse but it's a control line!
jeffs Twelve O'clock High.
Ha ha, no problem man. Shoot, nice to actually see someone on YT with the balls to man up! I figured you probably do have the experience but at first just thought you were one of the typical YT kids talking shit. Thanks for the reply and being cool about it!
@Cliff2475 Yeah that's my very vocal wife, she's a riot.
Crunch!
Ouch!
@shredicon86 Yeah, that's my wife. She's become pretty good at commenting on me wadding them up, she has seen many bite the dust! ;)
I mean it ended in laughs so at least it’s gonna be a dinner topic some time.
smoke checked A OK!...next......I think I threw up in my mouth a little hearing the THUD!
How do you fly loops on a control line airplane without getting the line twisted?
Ouch 😢
wow!
@briansmobile1 Yeah, I lawn darted that one pretty good!
I'm sure I'll do it again too...
i have had my share of crashes
@hogsnplanes Ha ha, what a terrible sound isn't it!?!
1:58 OH MY GOD! What Happened?!?!? lol
Ha ha, yeah, she's pretty vocal!
На малой высоте перешел в обратную петлю,да и радиус большой.
Wusses mouth off while hiding behind a keyboard...
I've done that many times.
Same here just "lucky" enough to catch this one on film!
@Cliff2475 0: 58
There were no survivors
😧
nothing wrong with that plane you can fix it
I have rebuilt worse in 3 hours and been back at it
Duct tape could work...to shut her laughing up...
Or it could work to shut you up...
