    Hey, I loved that you had an audience in the background. Also, what a nice hobby to be passed from father to son.

    It's so awesome to see someone flying stunt in 2023!
    I have that Nobler hanging in front of me right now, packin a modified HP40 and wing mounted wheels. Gotta dust it off now.... Lol. :)

    I watched George Aldrich, designer of the Nobler, fly his Nobler at the AMA Nationals at Willow Grove Naval Air Station, probably 1956.

    From someone who flew my first Nobler in the,,, 50 the engine was running rich at the start note how it started leaning out at the end. More Revs.

    What are the longest and shortest lines you can have on a plane like that?

    • @Barrie562
      @Barrie562 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shortest can be 59ft 6in - airplane to handle, longest should be no more than 62 ft. airplane to handle, using a .35 - .40 size engine.

    Normally a Nobler flies on 60 foot lines. A 5.3 second lap is about right,so line length is adjusted accordingly. They cannot exceed 70 feet, center of the handle to center of the model..

    Could have been set a bit richer given the more powerful modern two stroke glo...It was flying a bit too fast in straight level flight for my likeing....🤔😏😳🇬🇧

  • @bruceparr1678
    @bruceparr1678 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I thought it was running a bit lean.

    • @vumba1331
      @vumba1331 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, rich, just short of 4 stroking a 2 stroke so that when you perform a stunt and the engine leans out a bit it will give you the extra power you need plus not cut out. Classic Nobler setup.

    • @EnglishTurbines
      @EnglishTurbines ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, it leaned out halfway through. Not good really because even fourstroking it's a bit overpowered with that modern engine...🤔😏😏😏😳🇬🇧

    • @rcjrpilot
      @rcjrpilot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay, Dariusz is flying he's Nobler A.R.F with 60feet lines, and he's son David flying Mini Avia 049 Cox Golden Bee with 35feet lines.

    No inverted engine mounts....no safe...always model's with upright mounted...plain safety truth...

    • @110101719
      @110101719 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      What's unsafe about it. Whether its inverted sideways or piston up great care is always needed when handing those engines

    • @christopherdahle9985
      @christopherdahle9985 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is not a single safety related reason why the engine can't be mounted inverted. Plus, Noblers were specifically designed to have an inverted engine. The ONLY plausible danger is that there is some slight increase in possibility of damage to the engine on a bad landing, however, in most real crash scenarios, inverted engines are slightly less likely to be damaged.

    • @rudyho3790
      @rudyho3790 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeh...repeating all after....safety in handling at engine start, flip for takeoff....we won't, you may.... jus' keep 'em flying!!😉👍🇺🇸
