Another fantastic video Dave! I personally do plan on getting the Signature Edition of Aladdin. I already own the Diamond Edition, but like you mentioned I’m sure that the 4K will be worth it, especially since this could be Aladdin’s last release on physical media. I personally will be getting the Best Buy Exclusive stellbook since I love that those always have the artwork on all of the discs!
Honestly, this maybe be the one movie I will buy the normal blu ray, target exclusive AND the steelbook. They all just look sooo beautiful and original to the old vhs covers.
I have the platinum edition but am looking to upgrade since I missed the diamond edition. I'm glad I don't have to wait as long because usually there's a longer time span between releases
As a 2000s kid, I'm getting the 2 disc 2004 dvd instead of any diamond edition. If i would get a disney movie on blu-ray, I'll choose signature blu-ray instead of diamond edition.

@@valenzuelasstudios1838 I didn't get rid of my VHS tape. My father did. I had all of the Disney Animated Classics on VHS from Snow White to Lilo & Stitch, and for a time, moved out on my own. I didn't have space to bring my VHS collection with me, so I left it with my family. By the time I was able to go back and do something with it, my father had given the whole thing away! While I'm sad about it, I' have all of those films on DVD and Blu-ray, so at least there is that.
Has anyone watched Life Animated? It’s a documentary about a man who communicates to the world through Disney quotes. I think it’s very good and there are a lot of Aladdin refrences
The Aladdin remake was a real surprise for me. At first I thought it was gonna suck but BOY was I wrong. The Lion King remake(didn't see it yet only clips of it) is just pointless. Looking forward to getting Aladdin 2019 in September. Might get the Bluray of it instead of the DVD.

One thing i can’t understand is the Disney movie club choice with this movie So they have their monthly featured title and, of course, Aladdin was the last one they had. To get the featured title gets you the animated movie in 4K... and the remake on standard Blu-Ray. Drives me nuts, go all the way with both or just feature standard BluRay discs. I guess they want to show off the new 4K transfer of the animated one but the remake has a 4K release too... I don’t know. Anyway I got it. They couldn’t even get it to me on release day.

Now Disney is releasing tangled and princess and the frog on blu ray. Looks like all the Pixar movies are coming back on blu ray on the 10th as well. Just wish they would have released these on 4k as well. 9/10 is Disney take my money day

I wish they'd release exclusive 2-pack BluRays when they do remakes, that way you have the original animated version AND the live action film. It's not Disney, but Pet Sematary did that a couple weeks ago with the original & 2019 remake released together.

I am only missing two of the Platinum Editions “Snow White” along with “Lady and the Tramp”. Otherwise I have all of the others except “Cinderella” doesn’t have a slipcover. I have all of the Diamond Edition Blu-rays with slipcovers. I just need to buy “Cinderella” Signature then this and “101” when it comes out this year as well.

That is way I will only buy the Signature Blu rays.
Haven’t heard anything about them being reissued whatsoever. They’re still readily available through the DMC, so I wouldn’t imagine they need to reissue them. They certainly won’t be re-released on 4K.
While I get what they're going for with the Steelbook artwork, im not a fan of the Artwork. Plus they reuse the image of Aladdin and Jasmine from the Diamond Edition on the Steelbook. That being said I love the artwork for the regular release, it looks phenomenal and is Soo colorful.
Does Disney hate the UK? We wait weeks later for the blu day of a film, we don’t get their digital services, eg Movies anywhere and Disney + (ain’t been announced if it will be coming to the UK) and now we don’t even get the option to buy Aladdin on 4k
I think the UK just isn't a huge market for Disney stuff, sadly. All decisions would be made based on regional supply and demand. However, Disney+ will be launching in the UK sometime in 2020.

Note, I HATE THE DIAMOND LINE Because Pinocchio was never a Diamond Blu ray.
That is way I will only buy the Signature Blu rays.
Haven’t heard anything about them being reissued whatsoever. They’re still readily available through the DMC, so I wouldn’t imagine they need to reissue them. They certainly won’t be re-released on 4K.

7.1 Dolby Atmos track??
Like 3d audio but for 7.1 surround sound to give the illusion of dolby atmos 64 speakers surround sound.
No doubt there will also be a Disney Movie Club reissue of the two sequels.
It happened in 2016 and it was never vaulted.

While I get what they're going for with the Steelbook artwork, im not a fan of the Artwork. Plus they reuse the image of Aladdin and Jasmine from the Diamond Edition on the Steelbook. That being said I love the artwork for the regular release, it looks phenomenal and is Soo colorful.
I'm guessing the giveaway will not be open to Canadians, am I right?

Does Disney hate the UK? We wait weeks later for the blu day of a film, we don’t get their digital services, eg Movies anywhere and Disney + (ain’t been announced if it will be coming to the UK) and now we don’t even get the option to buy Aladdin on 4k
I think the UK just isn't a huge market for Disney stuff, sadly. All decisions would be made based on regional supply and demand. However, Disney+ will be launching in the UK sometime in 2020.
