    Thank You for the info, it was very much needed (just got around to swapping out the forks on my pricey e-bike…fell off the bike rack on the freeway…SOMEHOW it survived…just had to swap out the forks).

    It did seem pretty simple. I just kept thinking I had no idea that was something you would ever need to do. Learned something new and how to fix it too lol.

      Thank you, yes, Not replacing fork, like you did, just turning it around,; but watching your video helped a lot in the steps , step by step. Took 2 hours because I'm. El Stinko at mechanics, put caliper back tightened it hard, brake doesn't seem to work, maybe loosen ? Or, get it quickly checked at local shop. Headlight/ fender on, work. Thanks

    Thank you for video. Just received new 'Deer SUV ' model and the front fork is installed backwards. The top black piece which crosses over from side to side, it's part of the fork, you can't just remove that black piece. So, it's Behind the forks, making installation of the fender and headlight nearly impossible ! It Has to be In Front of the forks. Told Magicycle numerous times, and sent pictures. Response was almost nothing then, finally, Janice, sent a correct message with your video. Only thing I'm concerned of is the brake caliper ? Putting that back on correctly , so everything works on brakes. Well, we're going to try again. Thanks. Paul

      Hello Paul. I think you just need to take the handlebars back off, along with the front wheel, and spin the front fork around 180 degrees.

      Hope you got other reply message. Did help a lot. Not replacing fork, just turn around, light and fender on pretty good. Not sure if tightened caliper too much. ? Brake doesn't seem to work, never had an e-bike. It's a heavyweight, like me. That's why I got it. ✌️👏✌️👏👍

      Most worked good watching video. But the front brakes don't seem to work, just moving it in living room. Haven't test ridden it, yet, no helmet yet. Any thoughts, or is it the caliper, I loosened it some ?? Thank you. Paul

      Hello Paul, is the front wheel mounted with the brake disc between the brake caliper? It's possible to mount it backwards.

    Thanks for the help Rick. I seem to be having an issue with my Hey Bike City run. The "stem" of the front fork is sliding in and out of place on the frame of the bike. It seems to be an alignment problem and I don't know how to tighten it.

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It should tighten from the top, like what you see in my video. I wish I could be there to help.

      @@gonagain no worries. I really appreciate you uploading this video. It's almost amazing to think my grandpa was a nuclear engineer who worked on the first submarines and I struggled this much with a bike. Luckily, looks like all I had to do was hold tension with the fork it's correct position while applying a little bit of force and I was able to tighten it. Unfortunately, I think the instructions were from an older model and translated from Chinese so it's been a frustrating build. I greatly appreciate you!

    Hey Rick, thank you for posting this. I had started looking into this upgrade myself as the original spring fork is fairly useless especially for any off roading/ trail riding. Do you notice that much of a difference?

    • @gonagain

    I have another question I'm going to be changing. My magic cycle fork very soon. The little plastic part that you took off the old fork. The part that was almost holding it in. You know, once you loosened it the fork dropped out. Did you put that same part back on the new one?

    Would you say this repair/replacement would be similar to a BURCHDA RX80?

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Similar, except that the RX80 has rear suspension and is more like the Magicycle Deer. In my experience, rear suspension is great on trails, but I don't like it at all on asphalt because it absorbs too much energy.

    • @papow_papow
      @papow_papow 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gonagain my apologies if I worded the question weirdly, I was curious if replacing the front forks would be the same as the RX80? Never thought about too much absorption of energy I will have to research more into that, thank you in advance!

    Do yours leak oil through the top? My wifes Ocelot Pro and my Cruiser Pro both leak oil through the top seals on both sides. I wonder if it is because they are new and full of oil. Both bikes have under 100 miles on them.

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, a very light layer of oil. I suppose the fork will need serviced at some point in the future.

      @@gonagain Mine has disc brakes, front and rear adjustable shocks. I want to upgrade my disc brakes to hydraulic. I'd also like to set It up with a seat post shock system.
      I know most ebikes are about 500w to 750w. Mine is 1,500w.
      So far I've only ridden it the three miles into town and back a number of times already.

      The best shock absorbing seat posts are the articulated ones, not the ones that just have a spring in the post. You have a powerful ebike!
