For Peach Garden, the blocked road in Tour is also present in DS and Wii. Personally, I think the 3rd lap of PG in the BCP was added AFTER his announcement (the one with Merry Mountain) because the shortcut in the beginning is shorter than in 8DX, because it's the same used in Tour

I love him as well. It sucks that he was the only Double Dash character to not make it to Tour, let alone 8 Deluxe.

PepperRabbit and I are also big time Paratroopa fans. Paratroopa definitely has a bigger fanbase than Nintendo thinks calling for his return.

Hey Ryder, I remember one video a long time ago mentioned that WII U water park was in the files of Mario kart tour, which REALLY excited me to think we could potentially be getting Mario kart 8’s tracks as retros in tour. Of course, it never happened, but I wondered if anyone else noticed WII U water park in the files of tour besides me.
If anything they should've added more battle maps. We've never even seen a Wii one get a remake.

The game still could’ve gone on for YEARS if they added more stuff
I, for one, think the drivers scrapped were all for very good reasons, and the badges are most definitely left there by Nintendo as a way of saying “We know you want these characters. They’ll be in the next game.”
It would have been a likely case that Piranha Plant, Boo, and Paratroopa would have been new Normal drivers, and it didn’t make sense adding new Normal drivers so late into the game’s lifespan, so they were cut from the final game very early on.
For the others we know about from Nintendo’s hints in-game, Honey Queen, Luma, all missing SNES variants of drivers, and Spike were all likely held back for the next game.
Good to know about Rock Rock Mountain R/T never planned.

From all the left out 3DS tracks from Tour
Melody Motorway's exclusion really threw me off
Like Bowser's Castle and Rainbow Road got in but not that one
I think the N64 track that was scrapped was more likely Bowser’s Castle and was probably the track intended for the BCP due to the convenience of how Wii’s Lightning Cup were coming in order
As for cut courses, there must’ve been a city track set in Rio & Cairo that were scrapped as not having any cities from South America & Africa just feels off I almost have a feeling Rio was scrapped for Madrid as both have a soccer stadium that would’ve been driven through in Rio’s case being the Maracanã Stadium and then with Cairo we’ve been aware of a city track with pyramids since the first key art of Tour hinting towards Cairo making an appearance…which never happened and both could’ve been for unused alts that we never got as well
Possibly could’ve been N64 BC. Still hurts either way that one of those great N64 tracks were scrapped. As for a potential scrapped city, there may have been one, but no confirmed info about that atm.

Tour was pretty much meant to continue more but guess Nintendo wanted to stop it because of the BCP.
You forgot to mention the pyramid in the promo art which would had most likely pointed to a scrapped Cairo course
A few corrections. Mobnu and Mobmu aren't some great mystery, they're rather obviously early versions of Cove and Pipeline having objects relevant to those two. The likeliest course between N64 BC and Banshee Boardwalk is... neither, based on how the IDs operate it's extremely unlikely to have been an actual scrapped course and it was between GCN and N64 which leaves plenty of room alphabetically anyway. The Grumble Volcano object isn't that likely to be a leftover from MK8 because it's specifically a test version of it and unlike WanWanFork was in the actual object list. Honey Queen being planned doesn't really have any evidence behind it due to just being used in an ad and the other emblem badges aren't much proof either, they seemingly just made them for any emblems that already existed. Peach Gardens 2 not only doesn't have any evidence but would've been impossible without making changes to the course like the BCP did, the path has been in since DS and the Tour version doesn't have any collision for it not to mention it being blocked.
The PG2 bit as I mentioned in the video was just pure speculation on my part. But other than that, thank you for the corrections! 😊

I agree with all of your corrections but I think the drivers that had thier badges could really have come to the game if it continued.

3:44 So the unused icons / tickets were theorized to be gameplay modifiers. What they would've done: the red icon boosted your speed, the blue icon increased your combo score, the yellow icon is still unknown but some think it granted a temporary shield against items, and the green icon is also unknown and idk what it could be. The blue pipe was supposedly for "sparking", which guaranteed a specific pull and the community was excited for the potential of it. Never came to fruition though.
Exapt the beta stuff, most of this stuff are not cut content I think they were planned to get added but because Tour was going to stop after the 4th anniversary they just didn't add them.
I think alot of tracks from year 4 could have been cut too.

I don’t think the Wuhu courses were ever planned. They’re crossover content which Tour actively avoided
U Excitebike Arena was planned and in the files. You never know.
@@chucke.cheese2212 Yeah… I’m gonna need proof. If it was planned, something from it would’ve been left in the files, but it wasn’t mentioned in this video and not even The Cutting Room Floor *or* the wiki page for Tour’s cut content bring it up.
Yoshi's Island is a Tour track which makes a crossover with Yoshi's Island though

The reverse version was definitely inspired in a very different creative way of making it sections like DS peach gardens lap 3 reverse and it a lap track but really a section track and it was done in a creative way.
Someone saw swiftjar's video about 8dx's cut content and got inspired. But yeah despite everything I'm glad Tour exist(ed).

Just to clarify on that Swiftjar part, I already had this video in the making for over 3-4 months now, and had already announced this video way before his video released. But yeah, really hope they add reverse tracks in the next game

I found the 3d Toadette render really interesting because well it looks really cool but I’m also questioning why out of all characters why toadette who know why though
Battle courses never took off with the player base - it wasn’t asked for or needed and whether they added another 2 tracks or 20 it wouldn’t have changed anything

Coin Runners was planned but got scrapped due to All Cup ranking players
Mario Kart Tour had so much more potential when it came to upgrading drivers, karts, and gliders. Like it would've been nice if we could upgrade normals into supers, and supers into high-ends, just like how other gacha games let you rank / star up (Fire Emblem Heroes does this). Instead, the devs resorted to releasing high-ends non-stop, so you needed keep the golden pass to keep up, but it just became overwhelming. We had to ASK them to add super drivers, like Monty Mole, just so f2p had a way to play / compete.
There is a rock rock mountain rt variant. it was literally in the last tour.

@@JuanFe4dz I’d say Wuhu Loop would be better, it visits far more landmarks. Some landmarks are literally removed in the 3DS version due to there bejng so many (Swordplay Colisseum). It uses the exact same path as the cycle track of Wii Fit Plus.
Until to Mario Kart Tour are coming for transforming into the Mario Kart World Tour this Fall 2024 or Summer 2025 on mobile devices
Why didn't you include sequels to the RMX tracks? The only RMX tracks that do get a sequel are Choco Island, Vanilla Lake, and Rainbow Road.

It wasn't even leaked lol.
It had a whole application process in April 2019 for Android users in North America and Japan.
Then those who qualified got to try a beta test tour of the game for 2 weeks from May-June 2019.
The point of the beta test was for users to give feedback about the game before its final release.
You can even search on TH-cam for the beta test and you will find videos of it from May 2019 😂
