    Video Description:
In a village in the Syrian countryside, Muslims and Christians once lived side-by-side and kept the language of Christ, Aramaic, alive. Unfortunately Exploring Maaloula, after the war against terrorism little remains and most residents are long gone.

Jesus is the only way. We have all sinned and deserve Hell. Sins that may seem small in our eyes are big in God's and are worthy of Hell, such as lying lusting and stealing. But if we repent and trust only in Jesus, he is faithful and will save us from Hell and give us eternal life in Heaven. Trust in Jesus!

Very true, but we must ask ourselves why the imagery of the Muslim world was tainted in the first place. I would suspect the answer to that question is in the hands of the ones who seem to have a monopoly in place on media. But i could be wrong. ☘️

Just imagine if Middle East was never touched by the west, the world could have known so much history of the Past, learn and understand the myriad nuances of cultural differences, languages. The area is a treasure of culture, history... Just thinking about it makes me upset, how we destroy so easily, and our reasoning just does not hold water. It's heartbreaking to see Maaloula that way, it is an ancient Christian town it used to be so beautiful and full of life and bright lights. Had no idea the church was over 2,000 years old which started out as a Pagan temple. Hopefully one day they can rebuild and the people can move back. 🙏 🇸🇾

I appreciate this video and your bravery in visiting Syria and documenting it. You give a fair treatment of the situation, Chris. As they say in Arabic, “Mashallah.” مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ meaning “God has willed it,” is what both Muslims and Christians say upon congratulating someone for a job well done. Peace be upon ‘Eesa Maseeh (Alaihis Salaam) and his mother, the Virgin Mary.

His English was perfect I thought he was from America visiting family there, It must have been exciting for him to be with a tourist from another country I truly hope he is doing well. I am watching you from Miami Florida. I am a Cuban American that had to leave my country with my parents in the 1960s because of political reasons. I am now 60 years old and never have been back to my country unfortunately my parents have passed and never returned to their country.I love to travel too.On my way to Europe I met my husband that had come to Miami on vacation, we met on the plane that was 30 years ago.So I have traveled alot through Europe after getting married and living in France. We are living now in Miami Florida where I grow up hopefully now that we are retiring we will continue traveling can't wait to start watching all of your adventures.

Aramaic is a very unique language it sounds like a mixture of Arabic and Hebrew, I wasn't around during the time of Jesus but I highly doubt that it is a language that he would have spoken frequently but may have known enough to conversate with those he came in contact with. What some people don't understand is that Jesus was a Jew from the bloodline of King David and jews have their own dialect spoken throughout the centuries but it is a great way to spark up a conversation with someone who is interested in religion especially Christianity. Thanks again Chris for the video and great insight to Christians who live in the middle east especially places like Syria 🇸🇾. Even though we the body of Christ are small buy numbers but the holy spirit is strong. Much Mahalo to you Chris again from Hawaii

What‘s a „government minder“ supposed to be? You mean anti American invasion minder? The majority of the people, who also still use the old Syrian flag as opposed to a US backed militant opposition minority in the north east with their own flag, that are even seen by most syrians in the diaspora as traitors, who helped destroying their country.
Let me guess, you are an US democrat who supports his warmongering democrat leaders blindly who initiated the Syrian regime change war, one of many the US conducts across the whole globe since decades.
Meaningful conversations can be held, but it doesn’t mean they have to be one sided US neocon and global imperialist narratives, if that‘s your misguided idea of an meaningful conversation.

Sorry for such reaction, but such comments have a certain suspicious undertone to me that seem to support a quite typical one sided deceptive narrative, that excused a lot of destruction and death in that country.
