Great looking car. I have an XF 3.0 litre petrol and think that it's gorgeous from EVERY angle.
Nice to see somebody also 6 ft 5" showing me why I feel cramped in the rear of every car I have sat in.......apart from a Skoda superb.

Fun fact, when you said you weren’t impressed with rear and lights didn’t make it that special. I agree in certain way, however the lights are where they are as when designed they were meant to look like a cat jumping on back or car, then the lights represents the cat claws!

I have a 2008 Merc S-class 500L, but an XJL is my next ride.
have 2013 xjl superchaged when hit start button car will not turn over.checked battery. Would dad cell in battery cause problem?

I watching this Video from Arizona. I was at Arrowhead mall in Glendale az one day and as I was approaching Macy's and I noticed this car XJL unloading passengers in
front of the Mall. I was about 20 ft away and the site of the car took my breath away as it was so long and very white. It was the most elegant car I had ever seen. The
problem I had was what the hell was the make of the car? I finally found out it was an XJL I think the (L) is for large. I'm now looking at Craig's list and there is one in
Scottsdale AZ. The XJS Portfollo with the V6 engine in silver for $20.000. I will check it out. Do you think "The Sain"t (Roger Moore) would have approve? BTW it was a

I think Jerry owns an Audi 😂 The car is my personal favourite amongst the luxury cars. I'm currently saving for one 👍 I'm a bit worried about the diesel muse though. Nice video, the car has flaws but I think it has more character. Anyhow each to their own as they say. Though nobody told Jerry that 😂😏
The 3.0L diesel is very fast, and very quiet in normal driving, almost unlimited power for UK roads.
It's been over 2 years... Any luck on getting the jag yet?
I would like to say that I own a 2011 xjl and I'm very pleased with it the way it handles and a comfort and the performance I love it love it love it

Shawn Orjiakor it would be a very comfy daily for sure! Soon as you step in you feel relaxed ready to waft

Didn't check perpendicular parking, no review of soft close doors and or really the cameras etc in depth with 360 feature and or so much more. I own this particular model and love it to bits, such a shame its been discontinued. Have to say a good "fun" review guys, a decent watch, but not the most indepth / informative one I've seen

Love my jaguar XJl and the 570 miles of range i get which supersedes any EV in America....
I want a Jaguar so bad but It's there reliability issues that keep me from buying one, especially when the closest repair shop that handles Jag's is over 200 km away.
Auto parking in this car should be optional since it’s mainly for chauffeur.
360 camera had a higher chance to be standard than auto parking.
My best Jag the XJ L it is just amazing to drive !!!!
I own an xj , and although it isn’t the most reliable car I’ve owned , it is by far the most special !!

@@hazerdist.v.2237 A car of this size is never going to be cheap to run to be honest. I had an S Class and it was a money pit - as long you has comprehensive warranty, you should be fine.

I have a 2011 XJL 5.0, drive it every day. Cost a few $’s for parts, but it is what it is. I love it 😂

I was initially sold on the XJL for the back lights. They are made to resemble the jaguar claw.

This is a great looking car. Jag needs to bring it back but with a few extra refinements.
if you buy this car a diesel it is a crime. I've got the NA 5.0 v8 myself, without the v8 it just isnt that interesting.

I have noticed when watching guys of a certain age , have a problem when driving a car of actually holding the steering wheel they cannot talk without windmilling both arms at the same time , or look like their sat on their hands . Makes me cringe watching 😢
Stick with Wolkswagen Golf and BMW 3 Series fellows, more appropriate...

Just because a British company is owned by an Indian doesn't make it an Indian company. If I buy Ferrari tomorrow it wouldn't make it a British company just like that. If I were to buy Indian Oil Corp, it wouldn't become British Oil Corp overnight. Think about it... It would just be (such person, from place irrelevant) owns Indian Oil Corp. You can't take from peoples heritage and legacy and change what you like. But you can buy it sure enough.

so when the road noise gets too "loud" the speakers CANCEL OUT THE ROAD NOISE , its "subtle" !!!! what ?, i must be missing something, i thought this was a "luxury car", there shouldnt be any "road noise" and when those rear doors closed earlier in the video, i could hear the quality. NOT !!!

Guys That Drive admittedly they are better, but they are still NOT up to the standard of BMW/ mercedes/ and embarrassingly far away from Audi.... I realise your hands are tied lads, that you can't say what you REALLY think, but also, you have to review cars HONESTLY, and the best jaguar is a range rover !!!!
t5jerry our hands aren’t tied at all! We reviewed this car as 4 normal blokes being given the keys to an expensive jag. We’ve not been privileged enough to drive (or be driven in) the equivalent German cars. When that day comes we’ll be in a position to make comparisons and form honest opinions about which is best
This car is no more British then India and frankly I'm surprised you blokes (see what I did there) can even claim that this is a Jaguar. Now maybe you guys grew up on the shity side of London and never got to experience true British luxury but I have to say this is a Toyota Camry with fancy headlights. Gone are the rounded individual headlamps in favor of one mounted piece gone are the cat like wheel wells that look like the car is about to pounce on a poor wounded animal searching for a watering hole. The sleek lines, the low stance and the epitome British understated Elegance for this worn-out bar of soap. You should all be ashamed to even attempt to link yourself with the British empire empire that once never saw a sunset. It's a jaguar? Now what a damn fool. No sir it's a worn-out bar of soap.
Web this car is still definitely a Jag despite it being owned by Tata. Old XJs definitely have a style and presence but so do these in their own way.

@@GuysThatDrive my favorite British Jag is every Jag that actually has Jaguar DNA. Meaning of a Jaguar that evolves with time and not massive corporate buyouts. This Jaguar doesn't look anything like a jaguar. Say what you will about other buyouts at least they kept the design with continuity and evolution in mind. It's like they took the brand and redeveloped without any care for past jaguars. There is nothing about this car that makes me think yeah that's a jaguar like at all. Take Cadillac for example. He'll at least they kept the angular design showing off the sharp lines and angular proportions of tail lights and headlights. At least Rolls-Royce has kept the old world coach building intact. You know it's a rolls. Just that but the proportions are odd not just in the shape but the roof line the tail lights the headlamps hell even the grill frankly this Jaguar it's underwhelming to look at and over proportioned, it's sad to see.

you`ve also got to be a bit more "honest" lads, come on, its poorly made and terribly designed, it "may" have all the "goodies" but everything, such as buttons ect are poorly situated , jaguar have defo gone DOWNHILL in build quality and design, it`s a bit like a top of the range skoda, has all the goodies, but none of the class or build quality of an audi, shame, but thats the truth......
t5jerry we are honest in our reviews Jerry, if we don’t like something or think it’s naff we’ll say! What buttons are you taking about specifically? it was a while a go that we had the car, the only thinks I can remember that I wasn’t a huge fan of was that a lot of the cabin controls had to be selected using the infotainment screen instead of having dedicated buttons on the console, heated seats etc.
Guys That Drive so you'd rate this Tata, with a Merc or an Audi, personally, quality, refinement wise, I'd compare it to something like a previous generation Mk6 golf, it's miles away from a top German marque...

@@t5jerry I have friends who have mercedes, I have one as a runabout myself, but the Jaguars are miles ahead of mercedes for comfort.
