I was the performance engineer on Frank Biela's car, and outside of Europe for the first time in my life. Still remembering this with a big smile on my face!
@@kize32 Haha! No secrets to share, besides the fact that I was dead, going out with the guys from Audi Sport Australia the night after the race. And I thought that Germans were drinking a lot of beer! No no: Australiens do!! And that Macao is an absolutely breathtaking track. But that's no secret, really. I am working for BMW Motortsport nowadays, by the way. :-)
@@inc6436 E36 started in 90, A4 in 1994, but cars of the same era. It's a shame that BMW protested the technical decision to use a permanent all-wheel drive and a ballast was added to these cars in the form of a load, which significantly worsened the characteristics of the A4. And in fact, the Audi A4 scored most of the points and became the winner of the 1996 season :)

That's insane !
A4 and E36 were very different in weight?
@@vitaliyavt6397 yes, the A4 had to be heavier by the rules (don‘t recall the exact numbers after so many years), due to being 4WD.
What was your job? Can you share any secrets? That stuff is really interesting to me although I'm a BMW fan

6:32 Audi Quattro threw the bmw like a cardboard box. Frank Biela showed the real skill of the racing driver :))))
Are you proud with that move he did ?
@@inc6436 Yeah seriously, that was really bad sportsmanship right there. Wonder what set Biela off.
