Monks are eating good this Raid. It might not be the optimal skill in a single target fight, but you get to use -Arm- Shadow of the Destroyer on Rhalgr the Destroyer atop a statue of the Destroyer.
It would be shadow of the destroyer post lvl 82

@@zirkon5128 bruh I'm with you. I've got Rhalgr in worship and I main BLM which /Nald'Thal himself empowers/ in the quests, and not just like someone telling you he does in lore.
and then for personal lore reasons Azeyma was certainly notable. Ofcourse Byregot is no less notable given relation to Rhalgr in the Spire, even if personally he isn't directly impactful.
The whole experience was a nice little package in my case given weapon choices too

I've read a lot of complaints about stage design and how some of them wanted to have a weird stage shape.
Then they gave us a literal hand shaped stage.
First Bahamut's right hand, and now Rhalgr's

If I had a nickel for every boss I've fought on a hand, I'd have 2 nickels... which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
This was 100% a clap back at people asking for weird stage design
Ngl when the themes of 2.0 became clear I could hear it and remember all those years ago with my friends watching the trailer. “It’s an online ff game!” We we’re all so excited to play, it reminds me of how far I’ve come. How long it’s been. God I love this game nothing comforts me more than just being here

How far has XIV came....
I remember hearing them for the first time and going "omfg I need to get this. I MUST HAVE IT." So I went onto their store, bought it and haven't regretted it since. The story, the dungeons, raids, THE MUSIC, all of it is amazing.
Sure, there's been ups and downs, but what game doesn't have them? Besides, at least the dev team actually gives a damn about the game. When thy realize they screwed up, they admit it and apologize. They work to fix whatever it is and explain how they're going to remedy the situation (if it's something major).
When I noticed this boss theme is a remix of the ARR launch trailer I teared up, what an amazing way to give closure to this saga.
actually sounds like "THE ffxiv boss battle theme" if it was a single player final fantasy game.
As a mnk main1, finally squaring up to the destroyer was beyond satisfying.
Seeing byregot call him "master" instead of father aswell felt so right he totally gives of that "old sensei" vibe

Their use of this song is such a love letter to the people that have been with the game since the first ARR trailer. I wouldn't be surprised if nothing sinister is happening at all in this raid series and that the Twelve are just holding some kind of combat/lore festival for us and the realm to remember them by before they fly off into other galaxies to do stuff.
Yeah, they seems so nice, not just the superficial and temporary, but nice from the bottom of this game.
That'd be nice. Just a fun and epic battle with the gods, no strings attached.

I do think there is more to their actions here and a huge lore bomb awaits, but i don't think there's anything malicious going on with them.
On the other hand... after two parts of this raid series we've alreay beaten nine of the Twelve, so i wonder who'll be our final boss.

Close they used remixes of Sycrus’s towers motifs, but too be fair it’s also used as the like underlying medley for A dawn of a new era as well with Urth’s front lair’d on top
@@SirFelyne Apart from ARR-trailer, the theme appeared twice in Mor Dhona (end of 2.0, end of 5.3). Else another time at the end of saphire weapon.

Love all the ARR references! The Odin theme is one of my favorite songs in the game so this was exciting to hear 👍

Its incredible how this song fuses the ARR trailer themes, the FF main theme, AND the FF prelude. It's such a love letter to Final Fantasy.

Can I just say, how badass is the WoL at this point? The WoL is so dang powerful, that the twelve divines themselves took notice and decided to challenge us to a sparring match, because they were itching for a good fight. One of them forged a gigantic freaking statue just as the stage for the fight! And the WoL is just like "Sure, sounds good to me. Let's do this!"
Can we now officially say the FFXIV WoL is the most OP protagonist in all of Final Fantasy at this point? I mean he/she is fighting actual gods like it's a dang sport. Lol
If they are "gods". We've seen that gods as such is a complex thing in FF14, where even Hydaelyn turned out to be a Primal.
While they have stated they are not Primals, I think they are concepts created back in Elpis.
@@rainbowsnail4171 i have 2 theroies currently, one being that they are basically dynamis primals, the other being that they with exception for azem and emet are the first 14 given that that was in the world unsundered, but i could be wrong and it turns out they are something entierly different, i dont have enough background info yet
@@rainbowsnail4171 idk about that. If they existed pre-Sundering then you'd imagine they'd be much more present historically. Instead Twelve worship is fairly specific to Eorzea, and wasn't widespread in every Astral Era. You'd also imagine if they were "just" Ancient creations, that they'd have intervened in history more often, but they've done effectively nothing. Even the one feat we thought they might have done, intervening in the Calamity, they admit was done by a Primal instead.
I think their origin is post-Sundering personally, and particularly in Eorzea.
At this point the only thing I'd say I'm certain of is that they're not real gods. Otherwise why would they defer to Hydaelyn, and why would Emet challenge us to find their true identities?
@@o98z Given that the new Omega storyline explicitly rules out the second option, I think the first might be more likely. Primals (though like nothing we've seen) created and sustained by Dynamis energy, from the reverence and worship of countless people. Primals as we know them are usually created through moments of desperation, but it's never been stated that primals ONLY manifest from desperation.
As far as I know I think Lightning remains as most OP protagonist, but if we give WoL of the 14th a little more time...

when rhalgr tells you to fight him on the same statue in the stormblood trailer, I knew they were just playing around and having a laugh.
I dunno why but I always find it kind of cute when gods in any game are just enjoying themselves when fighting you. Like they can clearly wipe the floor with us but they stoop to our level when fighting and are just having a blast doing so

This song brings joy to my ears! I love that classical orchestral FF feel so much and this tops the charts for me. An ominous build up to an absolutely stunning mixture of brass and strings at 1:46 and the chorus brings it all together in such a marvelous way at 2:04. By far one of my favorite tracks not just in FFXIV but in Final Fantasy as a whole. I'm so glad there's still music like this to appreciate after Shadowbrings was almost entirely rock.

This theme is amazing. Such a large buildup. It sounds exactly like a battle in Heaven. It just gets better and better. I'd love if someone edited it and added a longer chorus or more bridges (3 isn't enough, lol)

I swear, the beginning of this song is just one key off from the opening of the boss fight theme from Final Fantasy IX. I freaked when I thought it was gonna be FFIX love, but can't complain. Those ARR leitmotifs hit sooooo good

Same. It's heroic, but in a fun way. I was grinning ear to ear during all the fights the many times I did them this first week on all my characters, and that's because of this lovely number. When "Dawn of an Era" kicks in, it just kind of feels beautiful, complete. Something. I kinda wanna say more, but I feel it's just the tiniest bit spoilery (Even though if people are seeking out this song, I'm hoping they all know what was said after)

This might be my favorite non lyrical track in the game by far and thats hard to say cause the whole damn ff14 soundtrack is great
I hope one of the next set of bosses involves flying around, ala Bismarck and Diamond Weapon. Theme is perfect for it.

This theme gives me some serious Castlevania vibes. Like it sounds like something that would perfectly fit as a boss theme for most of Metroidvanias.
I think this might be one of my favourite boss themes in the entire game which is saying something! Every time I think they can't outdo themselves with anything more epic they prove me wrong. The music in this game is artistry at its finest.

I honestly loved this raid series. The ending was ehh like most raids but the fights were fun

They usually add the newest raid to alliance roulette the main patch after it comes out rather than when it immediately comes out, that's why you never see it.
@@kyleo91 I'm referring to item level cheesing that people do to force crystal tower raids on alliance roulette. That's why you only ever see CT on alliance roulette and never ivalice or nier.
