  • Easy tutorial on how to replace your engine and cabin air filters for cheap on a 2014 and new Lexus IS350. The dealership wanted to charge us $150 just for the engine air filter replacement and the part just for the cabin air filter itself costs $70 from the dealership because it comes with a charcoal air filter. I bought the engine air filter from Lexus which only costs me $30 and the cabin filter for $20. Don't be duped into having the dealership charge you hundreds for this simple replacement! Hope this helped save you guys some money and enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!

It matters which way it goes your old OEM filter has an up indicator telling you which side goes up. Your new after market filter has an air flow indicator which needs to point down.
    You did it correctly.

Excellent video! The dealership wanted to charge an expensive price for changing the air filters. I opted not to allow them to do it. I felt that I could do it myself and, I had a feeling that I could find a how to video on TH-cam. Thanks!!

Your old filter doesn't looks dirty, it's looks like it's have Activated Carbon.

You’re right the original oem cabin filter has carbon which is why it’s more expensive. The one I bought was like $20 bucks maybe I can’t remember but we’re smokers. We don’t smoke in the car but it carries from outside when we get in. I’ll probably purchase an oem one soon to replace the cheap one I installed. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

Did this on my 2015 IS 250 F Sport and it couldn't be any easier. It was more difficult to do this on my old 2006 Accord in which the air filter box was in a more difficult to reach place.

Lol yeah it was pretty simple my old 2001 Toyota celica the air box was so cramped in trying to reach the clamps to unhook it you would me children's hands. I kind of wish I would have spent extra for the charcoal factory cabin filter but I'll prob just buy one in the next 6k miles or so. Did you have that nav system reset issue a few months back?

Good video but filter looks pretty clean it’s that color because it has activated carbon. Well worth it gets rid of outside odor.

Sorry for the late response I'm glad it helped ya out! The dealership wanted to charge me like 200 something to replace both the charcoal oem version is 70 bucks so I may get that next time but the one for $20 bucks works fine. Thanks for watching and commenting 💯💯🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👊🏻😎

You can test the airflow by holding a piece of paper above an installed filter.
