Very strange that they're not easier to take apart. Also, I had no idea there was so much gubbins inside. Mine's a different design (still Mira), but assume the method of disassembly is the same. I've put a new one on, but will clean the old one up and use as a spare. Cheers.
@@Steve-dr7rr Not sure. Best bet is take old shower head with you and get one that matches the hose attachment size, then it will definitely fit in the Mira shower head holder
I don’t know why they make em this way. Especially for new shower heads. No obvious way to open. I need to clean the debris behind the filter in the head every couple of months, so absolutely need access to the inside.
I agree, old style used to have a central screw, so much easier and less likely to break. Instead of taking apart try soaking in vinegar to remove limescale
@@miggsmerc6658 i installed a new shower kit which came with a nice looking but completely sealed showerhead. Swapped it out for a modular one which can be disassembled completely and cleaned. The brand is from Thailand called Baby Tattoo. Looks cheap, but is miles better than any “premium” one ive tried.
Forgot to mention. The best part is that there’s no flow restrictor (little plastic filter) inside that slows the water pressure down. I hate flow restrictors. Let it flow!!
So I've fixed mine now, then the washer went again. Any long term solution to keep it in place, or a link for the replacement washer? I was also thinking of using silicone to seal the gap. Any info would be greatly appreciated 👍

Yes it's very annoying, I hate throwing things away. Old ones had a nice big metal screw in the middle which allowed you to undo it all much easier.
Hi what 😢this one called and best place to get one in north east Hampshire

Hoping you don't do it, and buy a new one.

Best bet would be to remove the rubber washer and take it to a plumbers merchant and try to get an exact match
Am pretty sure mine has a screw. I just can't seem to wiggle it open
If it has a screw then definitely undo that. They are a pain to open. Good luck
