hi guys, great job. I have to turn the speed down to 75% so I'm not constantly stopping, rewinding etc. so you sound a little funny, but really learned a lot about the scan&cut. Something I've been wanting to investigate before I invest. So thank you both. 2 thumbs up.

From reading some of the other reviews, I do agree that it was a bit fast but IMHO, it doesn't really matter because I just pause the video where I want to review the instructions again . Plus, I do realize that the length of videos is always a concern when creating them. Sean did a great job. I do think he was reading but that is OK. And I will be watching this many times because I have a Scan and Cut coming in the mail today or tomorrow. I do much better when someone else tells me what to do. I have a Silhouette and the pic scan but sometimes it worked great and other times not so good. Plus it is a lot of steps so I gave in an ordered the Scan and Cut 2. I hope I am happy with it. Thanks for the info. Have a great day you two
+Kens Creations It came today and I played a little but I found that unless I took a black marker and went around the outside of my stamped images it wasn't getting the stamped images. Do you have any tips for that?
Loved the review, thanks for the in-depth look into this product. Im on the fence with this product, already own the Explore Air but am in love with the scan and cut feature this machine has but disappointed that its not always consistent. Ken don't fire Sean, I think both of you guys working together will be great for us. Relax and have fun, change is hard but great outcomes and opportunities arise from it.
I thank you for telling us MORE than others have. You explained everything and boy! did you save me cuz I was very frustrated!!! Oddly though, post the cut, my paper stuck to the UNSTICKY mat. Thanks for you both and #1 and #2!!!
Sean did a great job, but I still don't know if you think the new machine is better and if you would recommend it. I just bought my scan n cut and haven't had a chance to use it yet but am very excited to get to know all about it.
Very thorough and well-done review! I like both of you and look forward to reviews and tutorials. The only thing I don't like--and this is totally personal--is background music when someone is talking. It's kind of like when someone has the radio or tv on in the background while we're talking on the phone. I find it distracting and that it makes it harder to concentrate even when the content is really high quality like this tutorial. I know a LOT of tv shows do it and so it seems like the thing to do but I don't think it's necessary.
Excellent presentation and editing Sean, he's a keeper Ken! Ken knows I love my SNC, purchased version one on first release. I do not like that Brother has made it impossible to use other mats, the lack of stickiness is a simple fix for me. Now back to the video, a big 👍. Hugs
I use Scotch Stick Adhesive. I use a very light coat on the mat where the design will cut just before ready to cut, Wipe mat off with a baby wipe after taking the paper off. Works like a charm.
Great job. i just got mine machine in the mail yesturday and am even more excited now to try more things with it. I do wish we could have heard if Ken changed his mind or not on this machine, though :) Thanks for doing it

Features I love my SNC for are the ability to fussy cut stamped images quickly and easily, scan 12x12 pages, and no internet connection needed. One can download firmware updates to a thumb drive.. It's worth every penny to me for those features alone. It cuts and does everything your Cricut air does, except there's only one tool holder that accommodates their pen and blade holder. I use SCAL with mine for designing. I'll admit I'm not a PC fan since they sued everyone, but unless you want to spend the money for cutting out stamps, embroidery files, scan 12x12 pages, or be internet free you should stick with your Cricut. To import embroidery files, the SNC model costs more, I have the cheaper model.

Is it easy to use when you want to cut a stamped image? Does it cost to download images like circles, ovals etc? I looked for a phone number and cannot find one to ask the company questions.

I can create my custom clothing labels ( stencil & washable paint) and save money. Also, I can create painted on images for fashion. I'm hoping to print and make hang tag designs for my Vintage clothing line.
Loved the video! I don't mind that it was fast. I'd rather you pack a lot of information in and I can use pause/rewind when necessary. I previously watched the 2-part video of the scanncut 1. I do wish you had done a bit more comparing of the two machines. I think the wifi and color scanning are big improvements, and the color scanning (and number of colors to scan for) seems to have taken care of most of the former version's scanning problems. This is a keeper for reference purposes! Thank you!

As an owner of Scan n Cut 1, what I really need is a comparison of scanning abilities between Scan N CUt 2 and updated Scan n Cut 1 (which has the colour scanning component)........ I want to know if there is any difference now in scanning abilities between the 2 current versions to justify purchasing the new machine... else I'll chug on being annoyed with swapping USB sticks between computer and Scan n cut because WIFI alone cant justify another NZ$900 for a version 2. Brother has given the scan n one the same ability to scan the RGB via an update like the Scan and cut 2. Now the big differences witll be the physical ones. Bigger screen, wifi capability, etc. Plus right now it is chepaer for us in the states.

Hi, I have a question for you I watched your video and I bought the scan and cut 100 but unless i stamp in black it won't scan the colored stamped project. Do you think the 2 is better or could you suggest a machine that is better for what I need or any suggestions how I can get it to scan it better,
I'm considering this machine because I like the simplicity. I'm not real computer savvy. I like that it fussy cuts stamped images; and saves on buying expensive die cuts. Can you scan a sentiment stamped image, then scale it larger and print it without lines on colored cardstock for more sentiment options? If so this would save having to buy a ton of die cuts. Great job Sean! And I love the name!😂 I have a curio, silhouette 3, cricut air, cut n boss and cricut air 2 on the way. It's all your fault!!! I watch your videos with the Amazon app open. You killed me with CHA! I can justify having all of them. Help me justify this one, please! For some reason my husband doesn't agree with, "just because"! Seriously, is it less trouble cutting with the pixscan mats or the scan n cut? I really get things because I love to create but as a nurse administrator I don't have a lot of time so I buy the things that help me be the most efficient. Thank you for your help!
I have not bought this machine yet. I have a Baby Lock embroidery machine. ( an Ellisimo Gold 2) My question is can I take a PES design from my machine and have the scan n cut 2 but the applique? Does this machine read all PES designs? So I can take a quilt design and have the fabric cut out with the machine, then stitch it out after the placement line is stitched? Also for hooded towels ( using vinyl or quilt squares) Loved the video. Thanks for sharing.

What I am looking for is a die cut machine that can easily cut out and (and possibly score) my custom box templates on a poster-board material. Is this machine capable of scoring and cutting with thicker material? I noticed you said that it could outline a scan which is interesting, because I could potentially just use the print-out of my box to get the outline that I need for it to cut. Would you recommend this, or something that's more just software based like a KDK Orbit for what I'm trying to do?
Hi Ken, This was a very informative video. Sean did great. I just purchased my Scan N Cut 2 a few days ago. I found setup easy but I'm already finding my matt is not so sticky anymore compared to how many times I have used my cricut matts. I also am having a hard time saving to the USB, maybe you could do a tutorial on that hint hint :) I am however overall pleased with this machine so far. I am stamping images life crazy and cutting them and I also am converting jpeg files to cut files using the canvas software. Overall its all about having fun right? Due to problems with my right hand, I am looking to get a Scan and Cut 900. I need it to scan and cut out my card sheet ie card front and decoupage, that I have got from craft sites like creat'u'print. With the first one you had, there was problems with colour being pick up. In this demo it was not clear if this problem is still on going. Can you help me with this. Dorothy

Hi, can you please tell me if I can use this machine to cut out a project (like you do with dies for a manual die cut machine), or is this used to cut out shapes or designs to glue to a project? I'm trying to buy a machine that will allow me to cut out a2 cards, or cut out pillow boxes, or gift boxes/cards, etc.... Will this machine do this? Thank you.
I'm really thinking about getting this machine vs the cameo or cricut. Mainly cuz it looks like u can scan and cut practically any images u print/stamp without a computer. Plus, from some of the reviews/videos I've seen, the cricut doesn't work without internet.
After spending 3 months searching and trying to decide which cutter to buy I bought the SNC2. Before even getting 1 item cut, the 'standard' matt is(appears to be) ruined. The matt is so sticky that it completely destroyed a postcard and left half the post card on the matt. Any tricks on cleaning these things without destroying them?
So, if I had tiny photographs- not quite an inch large- that needed to be super high quality and I wanted to cut them out precisely, which is the best machine? I tried printing from Cricut, but the dpi was awful. I called them, and they gave me no fix for it. Any suggestions??

My SAME thoughts! If u could please explain on the pro/con difference on the 2 machines. I been wanting/needing something like this and been looking at the Cricut Air but not sure if it's "2much OR not enough" 4 what I looking 4 -- PLEASE HELP this confused mrsturtle 💕🐢💕 and I say KEEP the man lol he did great 4 his 1st job--just slow down a TINY bit 👍🏼🐢👍🏼
Features I love my SNC for are the ability to fussy cut stamped images quickly and easily, scan 12x12 pages, and no internet connection needed. One can download firmware updates to a thumb drive.. It's worth every penny to me for those features alone. It cuts and does everything your Cricut air does, except there's only one tool holder that accommodates their pen and blade holder. I use SCAL with mine for designing. I'll admit I'm not a PC fan since they sued everyone, but unless you want to spend the money for cutting out stamps, embroidery files, scan 12x12 pages, or be internet free you should stick with your Cricut. To import embroidery files, the SNC model costs more, I have the cheaper model.

Is it easy to use when you want to cut a stamped image? Does it cost to download images like circles, ovals etc? I looked for a phone number and cannot find one to ask the company questions.

I can create my custom clothing labels ( stencil & washable paint) and save money. Also, I can create painted on images for fashion. Loved the video! I don't mind that it was fast. I'd rather you pack a lot of information in and I can use pause/rewind when necessary. I previously watched the 2-part video of the scanncut 1. I do wish you had done a bit more comparing of the two machines. I think the wifi and color scanning are big improvements, and the color scanning (and number of colors to scan for) seems to have taken care of most of the former version's scanning problems. This is a keeper for reference purposes! Thank you!

As an owner of Scan n Cut 1, what I really need is a comparison of scanning abilities between Scan N CUt 2 and updated Scan n Cut 1 (which has the colour scanning component)........ I want to know if there is any difference now in scanning abilities between the 2 current versions to justify purchasing the new machine... else I'll chug on being annoyed with swapping USB sticks between computer and Scan n cut because WIFI alone cant justify another NZ$900 for a version 2.

Brother has provided an update giving the ability to scan in color like version 2.
+Starfish3Mama Our next video will be a comparison of these two machines. however in a quick overview the scanning is pretty much the same. Brother has given the scan n one the same ability to scan the RGB via an update like the Scan and cut 2. Now the big differences witll be the physical ones. Bigger screen, wifi capability, etc. Plus right now it is chepaer for us in the states.

Hi, I have a question for you I watched your video and I bought the scan and cut 100 but unless i stamp in black it won't scan the colored stamped project. Do you think the 2 is better or could you suggest a machine that is better for what I need or any suggestions how I can get it to scan it better,

I'm considering this machine because I like the simplicity. I'm not real computer savvy. I like that it fussy cuts stamped images; and saves on buying expensive die cuts. Can you scan a sentiment stamped image, then scale it larger and print it without lines on colored cardstock for more sentiment options? If so this would save having to buy a ton of die cuts. Great job Sean! And I love the name!😂 I have a curio, silhouette 3, cricut air, cut n boss and cricut air 2 on the way. It's all your fault!!! I watch your videos with the Amazon app open. You killed me with CHA! I can justify having all of them. Help me justify this one, please! For some reason my husband doesn't agree with, "just because"! Seriously, is it less trouble cutting with the pixscan mats or the scan n cut? I really get things because I love to create but as a nurse administrator I don't have a lot of time so I buy the things that help me be the most efficient. Thank you for your help!
I have not bought this machine yet. I have a Baby Lock embroidery machine. ( an Ellisimo Gold 2) My question is can I take a PES design from my machine and have the scan n cut 2 but the applique? Does this machine read all PES designs? So I can take a quilt design and have the fabric cut out with the machine, then stitch it out after the placement line is stitched? Also for hooded towels ( using vinyl or quilt squares) Loved the video. Thanks for sharing.

What I am looking for is a die cut machine that can easily cut out and (and possibly score) my custom box templates on a poster-board material. Is this machine capable of scoring and cutting with thicker material? I noticed you said that it could outline a scan which is interesting, because I could potentially just use the print-out of my box to get the outline that I need for it to cut. Would you recommend this, or something that's more just software based like a KDK Orbit for what I'm trying to do?

Hi Ken, This was a very informative video. Sean did great. I just purchased my Scan N Cut 2 a few days ago. I found setup easy but I'm already finding my matt is not so sticky anymore compared to how many times I have used my cricut matts. I also am having a hard time saving to the USB, maybe you could do a tutorial on that hint hint :) I am however overall pleased with this machine so far. I am stamping images life crazy and cutting them and I also am converting jpeg files to cut files using the canvas software. Overall its all about having fun right? Due to problems with my right hand, I am looking to get a Scan and Cut 900. I need it to scan and cut out my card sheet ie card front and decoupage, that I have got from craft sites like creat'u'print. With the first one you had, there was problems with colour being pick up. In this demo it was not clear if this problem is still on going. Can you help me with this.

Hi, can you please tell me if I can use this machine to cut out a project (like you do with dies for a manual die cut machine), or is this used to cut out shapes or designs to glue to a project? Which machine is more versatile the brother or cricut
I'm really thinking about getting this machine vs the cameo or cricut. Mainly cuz it looks like u can scan and cut practically any images u print/stamp without a computer. Plus, from some of the reviews/videos I've seen, the cricut doesn't work without internet.
After spending 3 months searching and trying to decide which cutter to buy I bought the SNC2. Before even getting 1 item cut, the 'standard' matt is(appears to be) ruined. The matt is so sticky that it completely destroyed a postcard and left half the post card on the matt. Any tricks on cleaning these things without destroying them?
weird i have heard the opposite on their mats, but you can always take a t-shirt and rub down the mat. this will help

So, if I had tiny photographs- not quite an inch large- that needed to be super high quality and I wanted to cut them out precisely, which is the best machine? I tried printing from Cricut, but the dpi was awful. I called them, and they gave me no fix for it. Any suggestions??
