What's that flap thing he was between the seat and the wheel? I seriously need that because after a few hours on muddy grass I've got a load of dried dirt right up under the seat on the suspension and everything.
No drive train cleaner does the opposite of the lithium grease. Drive train cleaner would be good for cleaning the chain and sprocket but it is a degreaser so make sure you use chain lube straight after cleaning. Lithium grease is a lubricant for the jackshaft bearings. I apply this after cleaning to try to re grease the bearings after a clean. Dont use lithium grease as a chain lube though as it will attract more dirt and grit than actual chain lube and this will cause your chain to stretch and deteriorate much faster. Hope this helps🔋🔋
I have pressure washed my bike any time i’ve cleaned it since owning it and i have never come across any problems due to this. The belt wont need any further attention after cleaning but i do recommend silicone spraying it from time to time to stop the belt squeaking when it spins. 💯🔋⚡️
I’ve never experienced any problems with water from cleaning the bike as long as proper precautions are takes when cleaning it such as covering any exposed connections. My only advice is to not excessively pressure wash it with a high powered pressure washer. Using a low powered pressure washer will do the job just fine🙌🏻🔋⚡️
It depends where you are based but a good place to go is PCR-E performance in Cannock! Great prices and a really cool shop! I dont think they deliver though. 🔋⚡️
SurRons are off-roading bikes and are designed to get wet. The main caveat being pressure washed as Matt correctly stated. You can waterproof them even more by getting liquid electric tape and just cover any open connections with it which should make it as close to water tight as you can get
Good tip, i have previously tried it and to be honest not noticed much difference but i still use stock brakes and rotors so might notice a difference on some better brakes!
@@mattfrancisofficial I thought more like preventing contamination on brake rotors, because if it happens then you will feel decrease in stopping power
all you need is a professional steam cleaner. No need for chemicals. . easy clean and safe for the environment. But for me, I never clean my bike. my surron is allergic to water.
Not a bad idea! Never used a steam cleaner so wouldn’t even know where to begin with one. Aha gotta keep the ride looking clean man. Mine would be ruined if I didn’t. Its been so much worse than how dirty it is in this video. Winter is a killer for mud in the UK😂🔋⚡️💯
Definitely need to try dry that out properly. Loss of power could be from the BMS (Battery management system) plug on the battery, that is what communicates with the controller on the bike. I would also check the throttle for the correct voltage, maybe replace it and try it.
Gotta get you some Charged PEV
I really do bro!! Is UK postage available yet??
How come charged PEV does not have chain lube?
@@mattfrancisofficial no sadly doesnt even show any items on the store
Nah it's overpriced shit from a Dork.
It's no different than watered down degreaser and soap.
Thank you cleaned my first Surron today using ur video 🙏

It’s basically just a mud flap, search for it on amazon or ebay and you’ll come across one, not expensive at all and saves a lot of cleaning time👍🏻💯
Is drivetrain cleaner from muc off about the same as the lithium grease? Should I spray it in the same spots?

very helpful! Thanks!
No worries, glad it helped and thanks for watching🙌🏻🔋⚡️
Whats the box thing that holds up the surron for cleaning called? I've tried to search it up and got nowhere
Its just a fold out stand mate, take a look at motocross stands there’s loads available
can you still pressure wash all that with a belt drive? and do you need to do anything after?

Gordon Ramsey of Sur rons!
😄😄 I like to think i am haha! Cheers
Are there any problems with the tachometer battery line and motor part? If the water has dried well

Where would u recomend getting a surron from in the uk
It depends where you are based but a good place to go is PCR-E performance in Cannock! Great prices and a really cool shop! I dont think they deliver though. 🔋⚡️
Where did u get your bike stand?
Its just a fold out stool from amazon. I would suggest getting a proper metal stand but the fold out stool works for now.
Have you tried charged PEV?
Nope I cant get it delivered over to the UK unfortunately 🔋⚡️
what pressure washer do u have
The one i use in this video is from Halfords in the UK, its a fairly cheap and low powered pressure washer. 💯⚡️
Is ok if rain goes on these bikes ?
Yeah they can handle rain. I wont say they’re fully water proof but very water resistant and will handle the rain no problem!🔋⚡️
@@mattfrancisofficial thx bro⚡️🔥💥

@@mattfrancisofficial tho instruction say not a heavy rain 🤣 so basically even they are not so sure about water proof
You sure that "all products used" section is comprehensive?
Not entirely but it’s all useful stuff😂
Use brake cleaner as last cleaning procedure.

That is what i was referring to man🔋⚡️
How tall is your stool ?
Honestly no idea, if i had to guess i’d say 14-16inches

What happens if you get water on your battery connecter beacause my dad forgot to cover it and i think it feels lower in power
