You definitely make the best watch vids in the game , but I do miss your first vids exploring Italy , please get on a train and show us one of yours watches in a beautiful Italian village or city
For some perspective: this video took me a few days to make. Outdoor shots, indoor, macros, then the unboxing itself and then editing the intro & outro. The breitling Siena video took 5 days of shooting, about 3 weeks (solid) of editing and cost about $1000 in hotels and travel expenses). In a couple of days, they will both have the same number of views. The vid of me discussing the MoonSwatch last week, took 20 mins to make. It has double the views of both. TH-cam is not a place for high quality content.
Fabulous, one of my favourite watches, unique dial and unique crystal, I can see this being one of the future classics that folk will look back on and wish their collection included one. Great video, thanks
glad you came around and got this one, got mine just pre-pandemic when my AD gave me the choice between this and a Bluesy, and seeing it in-person does not compare to the videos and pictures online, the fact that the dial can go from metallic blue to a dull, almost flat dark blue - the way it plays with the light, especially in the summer it's just beautiful (and to be fair adds a playful character to it) are you going to buy any of the new releases ? cheers
He didn't mention it but the bracelet looks like there are Faux rivets just like the Tudor Black Bay.... It's a Black Bay Homage watch for sure but I agree it looks good.
When the Milgauss was reintroduced, it was the first Rolex I truly fell in love with. Then the Z-Blue came out and took it to another level. Love the music, what is it?
I don’t say much online…but I SO appreciate the music and production quality of your vids that I’m inspired to speak up. (your reviews and comments are solid as well) THANK YOU FOR THE EFFORT!!
If the Milgaus was a film it would be the Godfather. “I thought I was out, but they drag me back in. “ Who knew Rolex were going to keep this oddity. Great production as always Oisin. You can make anything look good😉👌
The Normadic is impressive, even with your micro shots, I didn't see any flaws on the markers, hands and print on the dial. Interested to know the quality of the bracelet though, seems a like a lot of play when u lay it down sideways.
@@thegraciefighter102 not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s quirky personality is what makes it different, nothing else like it in the Rolex catalogue, and I certainly prefer it over the Airking and it’s boring update
the nomadic marai 401 has a self-winding mechanism in the shape of a ship's propeller. unfortunately, it was not shown in the presentation. it's a great watch. And we don't need to talk about the milgauss, it belongs in every exquisite watch collection

@@chriz9959 look at the date of the video. Nomadic were not making that rotor back then.
Lovely watch Oisin, I have the black dial version and I genuinely think this line of watches is the most underrated in the Rolex range. Thank you for the great content 🙏
Love the Milgauss, did you get it because the rumours of it being discontinued ,you have never seemed that bothered about it before ? Enjoyed the video 😉
Is it true that you didn't keep the Z-blue Milgauss, Oisin? It looked fantastic on your wrist! Hefty enough and really simple and classic. It's the quirky things about the modern Milgauss that makes it so appealing, IMO.
@@allisonbyrd I thought he was going to keep that tbh. He was gushing over it. I’ve heard of a few dealers who are stockpiling the Z blue. Perhaps they know something we don’t.
Congrats on the new watch! I bought 2 Mirage Watch Rolls (Green & Blue) here in Canada off Amazon and I paid less than $150USD for both. I’ve also owned the Bosphorous and I believe the Mirage is much better with the slide in cushions, whereas the Bosphorous need to be unsnapped every time, which is a shame… However, although the Mirage faux leather is good, the Bosphorous leather is the real deal. Cheers

Mirage have real leather rolls too. Pricier but still nothing like Bosphorous prices. And yea, that snapping in the Bosphorous ones is annoying.
Loved the boat rocking and the Milgauss in the shot. Watched till the very end. I got Airking this year after just a few short months from local Rolex Boutique and have my name on this one for my next. I wanted both. Then I think my Rolex purchasing will end for the meanwhile. Too many other brands I love also.
Great video, great watch, my favorite channel for sure, really enjoy the quality and work here (intro, wine ,etc.), congratulations !! Also I will really appreciate if you can bring me more info about the speedy bracelet and how/where I can get it, really fan of speedys and finally got my 3861-sapphire since 2 months ago, but not very happy with the thin bracelet. Regards !!
Why would you like Nomadic? It’s clearly a Tudor knockoff, really nothing nice or important about it. They shouldn’t be in the spotlight at all, since they are enjoying someone else’s effort and industrial design they couldn’t even do the design themselves. Shame. Don’t get me wrong, I like the video, great as always, just don’t like to see micro brands stealing iconic design’s. You don’t see Nomos or Monta or Norqain copying something from someone else. They should know that it’s not cool at all.
Lovely video, after a 4 year wait in Australia I just picked up my black dial Milgauss last week from my Sydney Rolex AD. Even more beautiful than my Grand Seiko’s.
The Nomadic watch appears to be an 99% identical copy of the San Martin Black Bay homage, even down to the bracelet. They probably source the watch from China and put their dial on it. Really cool that they did it but it's more than double the cost of the San Martin.
As expected, good video! My Milgauss is definitely my favorite watch in my humble collection. Such a beautiful and unique watch! Great decision to pick one up to add to your amazing collection. Wild how prices are rising so dramatically as of late. I had always been surprised that so few people were aware of the Milgauss but apparently people are starting to notice!
that Nomadic is a san martin bb58 homage (china made) with different handset. the san martin is $350 to $450 depending the movement used. i would have to disagree, there are many micros like zelos, hemel, san martin, Traska and many others that do great lume. if you think that san martin case looks good, get a hold of a zelos. they are hard to get because they sell out fast but the fit and finish on their watches are as good as any of my omegas, glashütte or rolex pieces.
I think they didn’t put the crown on the glass because it’s hard to copy the glass on the milgauss. In fact Rolex didn’t bother to patent the glass because it’s so hard to duplicate.
i think they also didn't patent it because when you apply for a patent you have to disclose the production, and after 20 years the patent has expired and anyone could produce it
Another great review Oisin, I picked up a Nomadic a few weeks ago in black as I already have a black bay 58 in blue, the Nomadic is better in almost every way. I have been on the list for a Milgauss for a while so I for am relieved it wasn’t discontinued. I agree the Mirage watch rolls are great value
What an intro! Had to watch it over and over and rewound again after watching the full production. Those colours, that sunburst dial, Jesus! Amazing! You captured it perfectly 👌🏼 great production Oisin, as ever. The end actually gave me goosebumps, absolute quality buddy 👏🏼
Have you looked at Zelos watches? While some no longer consider them to be a micro brand, I would say for a smaller independent watch brand that they make good watches with good lume. Definitely worth your consideration. Though I’m not entirely sure that their designs would suit your taste. Great video and great content as always.
Oisin, the introduction with the music and lighting along with the conclusion of the Milgauss sightseeing in Venice were totally awesome! There are a lot of other great utubers, but nobody comes close to your artistic talents…these are by far my favorite types of videos on your channel!
Well…you convinced me with that Nomadic piece…can’t afford the Milgauss, but the Nomadic is within my range…picked up the Dark Emerald Colorway…only two left!
Try the Sam Martin Black Bay 58 homage, you can get that with a Selitta sw200-1 for around $500. It has great finishing & great lume, in fact I wouldn’t be surprised San Martin made the Nomadic watch as it looks identical. Check out San Martin watches you will love them.
I had one . It is a beautiful watch and very special giving that it comes from a conservative brand like Rolex. It is very well made. It is a scratch magnet, but other than that it is great.

This is the best Milgauss video I have ever watched. I own the watch itself and the filming is even better than the real thing. 💯💯
Perfect music accompanying the video - Close To The Edge indeed.
You have turned an ordinary unboxing into an art form. Never disappoint. Congrats man on that beautiful Milgauss. 😎
The images and music at the very end - chef's kiss!
Great vid as always, and agree those nomadic divers really look like a sweet deal. I love the Milgauss, it is THE coolest nerd watch out there.

was absolutely blown away by the micro brand nomadic. looks like a nice watch. could not believe the lume on it.
He didn't mention it but the bracelet looks like there are Faux rivets just like the Tudor Black Bay.... It's a Black Bay Homage watch for sure but I agree it looks good.
The nomadic diver is basically a rebranded San Martin (chinese microbrand)which is a "homage" of BB58
It is! I’d love one! That along with the Submariner (no date) & Explorer (39mm) are my favourite 3 Rolex models 👍
Imo the Milly is the most underrated watch Rolex have produced
You made me love the Milgauss!
I'm not a fan of the Milgauss, but I'm a big fan of your channel! Thanks for the quality content, Oisin.
I've always liked the Milgause. Beautiful watch. Watches & organ music on a Saturday morning. What a fabulous start to my weekend ☺️
When the Milgauss was reintroduced, it was the first Rolex I truly fell in love with. Then the Z-Blue came out and took it to another level. Love the music, what is it?
Yes in the house!!
I'm not much of a fan of the Milgauss, but your photography and choice in music can make a Nomos stunning!
Excellent music choice! And one of Roger Dean's coolest covers for YES. Cool watch too....
I get up, I get down. Bravo, Oisin. One of your greatest productions. So niche and so well done.
Dude I spent YEARS listening to nothing but Yes, Kansas, and Zeppelin.

Great watch . But a bit of Yes as intro .. For a Yes fan very appreciated. Bravissimo
Another fantastic video you definitely do the best videos thank you so much can't wait till the next one

If they update the Milgauss a little I might be interested. If you're Irish the green is nice.
Nice intro. The Nomadic is nice. Milgauss is great. WHAT, a REAL Speedy? ;-) Good vid. Keep at it!
What a presentation for the Rolex Milgauss. It is so informative

really like the Milly
Always another Brilliant video!
I like the milguass in looks but it gets smashed apart by Omegas Coaxial Movement in the very area it aims to excel at.
100% - it’s a redundant watch at this point

Its gorgeous Lenny however I do prefer the Omega 15,000 gauss with its black and yellow second hand. Can you do a video of the Omega Worldtimer?
Really pleasant listening. Excellent work. Don't like the rivers on the Nomadic bracelet.
