Turning Bar Soap Into Liquid Soap

- We might have gotten a bit bored / creative (depending on the perspective) and created this video showing you how we made one cheap bar of unappealing soap into 2L of real liquid soap (none of that soap free 'hand wash' nonsense). For about 20p it's not bad...
The result was pretty cool actually! Works well, less mess, super eco and all that, I understand real soap is actually antiviral to a much greater degree than other types of 'wash'/disinfectants...
Hope you enjoy the video, and even find it helpful. Let us know if you try this too!
Does it not create a layer at the top after standing for a while similar to how it was before you put it in the blender?
No, after it's blended it tends to stay liquid, however it does get more solid after a while, so sometimes you need to add a little boiling water to the stored bottle and shake (if refilling a soap dispenser for example)
Step by step
What did she put in the soap?
Yes it was essential oil and it was just to scent it to her liking. You don't have to add that if you don't want to.
Yes that's right, essential oil. Though we didn't use that since! Not sure how much you need to use to make a difference to the smell.
How do you prevent it from being slimy?
What you put into the soap it was to quick to see anything
Cold or hot water do we want to use ??
Definitely hot as it is to melt the soap :)

500ml water for 1 bar soap
Hi how would it work to turn liquid castille into a bar form?
Lel
How many bars did you use in the video was it just one to get this amount of soap?
Just the 1 bar shown, with about 2L water
@@rndvidsful that is too watery. 0.5 liter( 2 cups) water is enough.
Aren't you afraid of bacterial development because of the water?
No expert but it appears to be fine. My guess is the soap being naturally antibacterial will discourage this. Plus the water is boiled.
@@rndvidsful you need to use less water to prevent bacteria growing. 2 cups water(0.5 liter for 1 bar soap is the right ratio)
How much water?
The kettle we used it about 1.7 litres, but the amount of water you need depends on the size of the bar of soap and the consistency you are aiming for.
Thank you
0.5 liter for 1 bar soap
Looks like yucky slime
