"He doesn't know you're an idiot. Once he gets to know you and KNOW you're an idiot he'll love you". lmao best line of the night. Also, the hug at the end was a great touch. Eddie was playing it cool, but when he looked back at Buck he could see this was a much heavier topic for him. One of the most vulnerable situations, made better by a reassuring embrace.
The "I kinda can't stop thinking about him" and seeing Buck's face light up at just the thought... oh my god. This is too precious. 🥺 Also, the two of them HUGGING??? AAAAH. It's been SO LONG.
I love the contrast between the conversations of Buck and Tommy last episode and this episode with Buck and Eddie. Tommy and Eddie both suggest they call the other person as they leave Buck's apt
0:47 I love how Eddie’s character is now so self-aware. After giving Buck advice on Tommy, he immediately realizes he needs to take the same advice about Marisol. Ryan is such a good actor he can convey that with just a flicker of face expression
Buck and Eddie may happen in the future, but they are on different paths romantically. At this time, Buck is exploring this new found emotional connection with a man and Eddie is doing his thing. I think eventually, if it’s meant to be, their moment will come and it will make sense. It would be too rushed and forced if they gave us Buddie right now.🤷♀️
I was on the Buddie ship for a while but I feel like this talk was confirmation that it’s a pipe dream. Bucks never had these kind of emotions with Eddie like he does Tommy.
Buck’s huge sigh at the end is exactly how I felt when I first came out to my friend, way back in 1995, and he was still my friend with nothing changed. You never realize how heavy that weight is until you drop it, and then all you can do is EXHALE.
I absolutely love how he’s just like everybody loves you and he’ll already love you when he realizes you’re an idiot. And he’s giving such great advice and then goes to leave and realizes he didn’t hug buck and has to come back
So so sweet that these two can segue from Buck's coming out straight into a regular discussion regarding Buck's relationship troubles, just as they might if he were with a woman. it's the only correct reaction, of course, but still nice to see how little it changes with Eddie.
Best bromance ever! I hope it stays that way. And I love how they changed Eddie into a more confident, open and happier guy. He seems more trusting in himself than before.
Look, I have been a buddy stand since I discovered buddy, that being said, I honestly love Buck and Tommy together. Whether or not if we ever get buddy for me, I am care more about whether or not Buck and Eddie still our best friends.
It’s the fact that Eddie is the only one around both him and Tommy but he’s never pointed out that Tommy calls him Evan. He calls him Evan! Eddie has only called him Evan once. And that was the day he let him know that he is Chris’s legal guardian. That’s what bonded them as brothers for life. Even though I am one of the many people in the fandom who wanted something more. But I think they were meant to be best friends. Tevan. I’m really excited about what’s going to happen between them.
I love the development that IF THEY DO have Buck and Eddie be a thing somewhere in the story - it wasn't both of them figuring out they were bisexual at the same time - because that relationship would have been A DISASTER and ruined what we love about Buck and Eddie's friendship. Once they cross into romantic territory - for them, the relationship we love about them is over because it changes completely. I love that they are having Buck figure all this out on his own without being a relationship with Eddie - so that if that is the final goal of the writers, it won't have "what am I doing" awkwardness on both sides all over it. I think having Buck find out he is bisexual, or finally admitting it, and having Eddie remain straight is a great way to write this storyline, even if it changes down the line.
This scene really puts things in perspective for me. I just really hope they remain friends, sorry but their friendship is just so pure and I now officially want it to stay that way.

So I’m gonna a be completely honest, I WAS part of the Buddie ship but I’m kinda over it now. Buck and Eddie are too well meshed together as family/brothers at this point that I think them dating could bring issues. Meanwhile Buck and Tommy seem to have really good chemistry and Buck even admits that Tommy is the first guy he’s felt this way for, indicating he never really felt much in terms of romantic feelings, if any, for Eddie anyway.
