The kiss was so good, but it was the "I am... free" which hit me hard. Every time I watch that part it hurts my heart because I understand the feelings and emotions behind it all personally in so many ways.....Oliver really delivered that scene wonderfully. Really beautiful scene.

There was no intimacy coordinator because there was no sex scene. But the director indeed did a great job. The director is Chad Lowe, Rob Lowe's younger brother. Chad Lowe also played the role of Captain Owen Strand (played by Rob Lowe)'s younger brother in 9-1-1: Lone Star.

In a way that he never imagined, possibly because Eddie has always seemed unattainable. But Buck clearly loves Eddie with a degree of intimacy that most men don't manage in their friendships. Now Tommy (who is very much like Eddie) kisses Buck and Buck finally realizes that loving a man doesn't mean that he still needs a girlfriend for all the other stuff. Knowing that he can have those feelings with a man is freeing.
Couple of things. I just started watching 911 a few months ago. I heard about this scene, but had no idea the significance until I started really getting into it. I loved Buck from the beginning. And NEVER wanted Buck and Eddie together as love interest. I think their friendship is so great! I think this scene is when Buck finally realizes he wasn't jealous because Tommy was friends with Eddie because of Eddie, but because he wanted to get to know him and Tommy chose to hang out with Eddie. The dynamics of the scene, how they slowly moved toward each other and Tommy realizing that Buck was sort of flirting especially when Buck said I can get jealous. I am so nervous for season 8 because I hope that they explore their relationship and not just drop it. I have watched this scene over and over and I gush and blush every time! I actually yelled when I watched it the first time! LOL!!!! Kudos 911 and Tim Minnear! Let's please get to see a Buck that is HAPPY and in love... for real this time! :-)

Oliver's acting and Louis's delivery on his little subtle flirtatious lines towards Buck? They both acted this out incredibly. I truly can't get over Buck's facial expression after the kiss, the smile on his face; the sheer joy as if the lights in his brain switched on fully for the first time in his life. The way he looks at Tommy and has that "oh" moment on his face as if a puzzle piece he'd been missing this whole time had fitted into place so perfectly for him. You can tell he would've continued the kiss if Tommy didn't pull away. It's just such a sweet and tender moment between the two of them, I LOVE it. I feel so much joy for him it's unreal. 🥺 Can't wait to see him figure things out more! Thank you ABC for this beautiful scene. 🥺 I'm never shutting up about this.

Did anyone notice Bucks hand when Tommy kissed him ? Even that combined with the kiss had that "Oh hell" moment, it was a subtle thing, but it made the kiss even more worth it for Buck, that "Oh" moment when you finally realise someone has touched you in a way no one else has physically or emotionally, not often Buck is lost for words, but that beautiful kiss did it.

I only noticed when I saw someone’s comment here but if you see closer, Oliver’s pupil in his left eye dilate right after the kiss. We don’t know what the actor is into but I think he felt good with this.

I don't know which part is more addicting. The part where Tommy shuts Buck up with a kiss or the part after Tommy tells Buck to call Eddie cause he's on pain pills and lets out a good laugh. That laugh from Lou is definitely one of my favorite laughs on the show.

When Buck was kissed, he was in such a dazed 'oh' state. And how he said 'I am free' sounds like he realizes the piece that has been missing. AND not to mention the way Buck watches Tommy's lips afterwards, like a silent 'I want another kiss'. I'm so excited to see where they take Buck's storyline, and how it'll lead to Buddie.

Oliver really nails the scene here. His facial expressions and confusion. The shock and emotion when you’re struck and dazed after your “fantasy dream” just happens right in front of you after kissing the person you crave. You see all of it and are able to recapture the feeling for those who’ve felt it before.

Damn close-up shot before and after the kiss, the eye contact was so good and intense they didn’t even blink it seemed like they’re looking straight into their souls. The more I watch, the more intense it gets. I can’t wait to see how their journey continues. I just hope it lasts!
I love how they start out decently far apart, not obviously spacious but typical you know. And then they start to slowly move closer, and closer... Not just in steps but in the small movements too. By the time they finally close that Gap, they were already leaning into each other and in each other's spaces. The body language of the actors is spot on. You can tell they're into each other just because of how they're standing and facing each other

- Buck finally taking a very deep breath (as he stares at Tommy’s lips) as what just happened settles into him
- Buck taking another big breath and releasing it after Tommy leaves like “wow that just happened”
You are so very observant.
I've been patiently waiting for season 7 to land on Disney+ on my country, it finally did last week and OMG I wasn't ready for that. Buck's never been so smitten before, it's adorable. I hope we get the chance to see this relationship grow next season, Oliver and Lou have great chemistry together and for once it looks like Tommy is a good fit for Buck unlike his past relationships.

I love watching how the two of them track what’s *actually* happening in the conversation at slightly different times. Tommy clearly starts to think Buck’s interested (‘I wanted to get to know you.’ ‘Yeah?’ *happy look*) before Buck figures it out. The way Buck says ‘Yeah, I guess so,’ in response to the question: ‘My attention?’ It’s like it’s only just dawning on Buck that that’s what he’s been *actually* doing this whole time. Ugh. So good.

This story arc means so much to me. Validating and relatable. The kiss is awesome, but the thing that makes me emotional the most is that Buck exhales. What I see through this scene is someone being liberated. Like Buck said, “I am free”. I am so proud of him. This show. The cast and crew! Thank you ABC!❤
This is the bend of the storyline... do NOT give us Buddie just yet. Buck needs to still handle his emotions and Eddie still have to figure it out that Buck LOVES him. Do not burn through this storyline in one season.
This season is going to be so short, too. I feel like it'll probably only take a couple EPS for Buck to go "this is closer to what I want but not quite" and for the tables to turn on Eddie where now HE'S jealous of Buck and Tommy until he figures out why and they get their act together. I predict Buddie will close out season 7. But they are renewed for season 8, so I guess we'll see.
The finale of the seventh season should mark the beginning of Buddie.

Buck's eyes are soooooo expressive and the expression on his face is perfect. You can see a wide variety of emotions here: shock, confusion, relief, joy.... Tommy was also amazing! That look he gave at 1:49 saying "I can see now what's really happening here" and he gambled by giving Buck that kiss. Liked his smile when he asked "So that was okay?" But my most favorite line of all was when Buck said, "I am free." To the casual viewer it might just mean he's confirming that he's available on Saturday night. But to everyone who has followed Evan Buckley's journey since season 1, "I AM FREE" runs deep and says a lot. I can't get enough of Buck and Tommy. Oliver Stark and Lou Ferrigno Jr. has a marvelous onscreen chemistry. They compliment each other. I really, really, really, really want this realationship to work. I don't want Tommy to be just passing through. I wish Tommy Kinard to stay permanently in the 9-1-1 series. To the writers of 9-1-1 and ABC, please don't break Buck's heart again and millions of his fans. We desire Buck to have his happy ending (or beginning) with Tommy. TK Strand and Carlos Reyes finally got to have their fairytale ending last year, why can't Buck finally have that too? I'm pushing Team "TEVAN" to happen! I've given up on BUDDIE. Tommy and Evan deserve each other! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

I’m don’t think i’ll ever get over this scene. The puzzle pieces falling into place, the joy and wonder, and oh moment!!!!! Oliver’s acting in this scene had me gasping along with him 🥹 And all his interviews and comments, no one loves Buck as much as Oliver does and im so grateful!! I can’t wait to see Buck continue to learn more about himself 🩷💜💙

Oliver Stark did such an amazing job with this scene! You can really tell he's been waiting for this moment for years...he could just let Buck FEEL it.
And he is not having it with anyone who has anything negative to say. Love it.
