I’d forgotten how sad and anxiety ridden watching videos of both Tiny and Teeny were. They were adorable, vulnerable with “old soul” eyes. We didn’t know if they would make it, pre pandemic food was scarce for monkeys. The rage I felt watching Tina literally steal the food out of teeny’s mouth that Teeny scrounged so hard for. The work you and the regular feeders did make sureTina and her family were fed saved Teeny I really believe. This video is a hat tip to you Arroz.
I felt exactly the same watching those old clips too..even though we know they are doing well now i can remember seeing them both scrape bits if crumbs just to try and survive..ot made me cry so much at the time..i didnt think either would make it but Teeny had those bent fingers and toes from lack of nutrition as Tina's milk dried up so early as she wasn't getting enough food herself let alone to produce milk..its so hard being at the bottom ranking wise. Thank God for Arroz because I truly believe his alerting the feeders saved Teeny's life..but that video of her scraping crumbs in the pelting rain is one of the hardest watches ever..i remember i had to stop it and watch the rest the next day..i know everyone hates on Tina..i was one of those when she stole Teeny's hats foraged bits of food but I also know its a case of self preservation..and this is what they do to survive themselves..look at the babies this yr..all that extra food the mommas had have produced a lot of buns and babies and those babies are a good weight and all are so forward for their age..that shows you how food makes a difference..last yr Gypsy was a great mom to Kody..she could keep hold of him and didnt have to spend time grubbing around for leftovers..Teeny should have been protected by her moms hold and fur from that rain not trying tp eat every city crumb going.. 💔💔💔💔
I always thought if Tina didnt steal that food from their pouches that she wouldnt survive and therefor Tiny and Teeny wouldnt have either. So really her survival was their survival. Was she thinking that maybe if she didnt get that food would they have any milk?

Arroz speculated it had become a deeply ingrained habit over the years, that Tina did it even when she didn’t NEED to do it. Tina could not only pick up crumbs but she could reach places her babies could not. Many times Tina sat around waiting for Teeny to fill her pouches. Arroz discovered Tina had to be completely stuffed to not raid her pouches. It was almost too late when Arroz worked together with feeders to target Tina for more food. The pandemic opened the floodgates. Another thing that Arroz never mentioned but is seen on the videos is the mysterious male who seems to protect Teeny. She’s with him more than Tina.
@@pennybreedon1706 Hi Penny.. i was pleased to see your comment because I felt sorry for Tina too..yes obviously i was angry that she wss stealing her babies food but she is so low ranking that she hardly had enough food to sustain herself let alone produce milk..that's why both Tiny and Teeny foraged much earlier than other babies as Tina's milk dried up..you can tell that from Teeny's bent fingers and toes..not enough calcium which she would normally get from momma's milk..I do feel bad for Tina she has had such a bad response from a lot of the viewers..as you say it's self preservation.. she always looks frightened that she's going to get battered by the higher rankers and that makes me sad..i was so hoping she'd have an easier ride with this yrs baby becsuse of the plethora of food but something must have happened to her baby as she had a baby belly then a flat tummy now and she is off her food..she was with Tiny and Teeny where they were all eating and she just wasn't interested..one of the feeders offered her grapes and she just turned away and we know thats not like Tina.. Teeny was such a little fluffernutter! We were all scared she wouldn’t make it through the first winter. Now she is here melting all of our hearts once again.
It’s nice to see Teeny rough-house, have fun, and just generally have energy to spare like a normal kid. I remember the first time I saw her idly pick up a stick and play with it, I was so amazed - before, she only had enough energy to spare to desperately comb the ground for crumbs to survive, she had no time or calories to spare for play. Now look at her! Still pint-sized but with quite a belly, having fun with her sibling. Nice to see.
Oh Arroz how lovely to see Tiny and Teeny playing together so well..i remember when Tiny was born..i had just started to follow you..and I thought he's not going to make it..but he just wouldn't give up..then seeing our Teeny in all that rain soaked to the skin looking for the smallest crumb broke my 💔 all over again..my stomach actually lurched as if it was happening now..what a lil toughy she is. Dopey is such a fine young lad now! He’s really resembling Reddy with his almond shaped eyes (that were once very round and big and bright). Glad to see him eating some greens. He didn’t much like them early on. LOL Thanks Arroz. Great video!
It is so easy to have warm spot for them, they are sensitive and always beautiful . I never forget Teene earning her life so she can play later.....Thank you for the beauty of life.......
Dopey has certainly maturated into a handsome young male with a lot of jovial history and hard earned life lessons. Certainly Dopey was our favorite. Back then I could hardly wait to tune in and see if Dopey was up to more mischief. 😇

I first was introduced to AM videos watching Tiny he was so fragile and little but he was a fighter. He truly fought to stay alive. Watching Tiny videos made me laugh, cry, anxious, sad and happy. There were some days I thought he was not going to make it, yet he did. Tiny the Fighter, one of my favorites🥰😍

Tiny and Teeny have come a long way from those scrawny beings they once were. I truly did not think Teeny would be with us for long when she was young. Looked like she had mere days left. Am you pulled a plan together that worked and saved her life. Dopey will always be interesting to track his life and see how he gets on. After watching these videos, if I was ever on Monkey Hill Rd. I would look for the bachelor boys and give them a ton of goodies.

Loved the Nigel show, the way he runs is just adorable. I am happy he is so comfortable with Nan. I Remember her popping Nora for mistreating Nigel in the beginning. Glad to see Libby and her little one who yes seems very active already.
With all that were done for them, Lady Luck was instrumental to their survival. So many babies have died due to accidents and too many were just never seen again. Thank God these lovable monkeys are doing so well & are so healthy. 💖🥰💙🙏🏼

I almost didn’t recognize Teeny; her face is maturing. I think she is going to look exactly like her mother Tina. Teeny is my favorite of all of the monkeys. She seemed to be such an old soul when she was a baby working so tirelessly to find food to sustain herself. And she was feeding herself and also her mother who was stealing Teeny’s hard earned food from her pouches. That little girl has heart!
It is so nice to see them bloom! When they were in their first year they couldn't accomplish any skills except hunting for the smallest crumbs. Their maturation was stalled becaue of poor nutrition and lacking a proper mum. She was underweight and had developed a nasty habit of forcefully stealing food from her babies. It was gross to watch!
Teeny, Tiny, and Dopey have all come a long way--the first two from an uncertain infancy, and a thief mother, Tina, who would callously steal Teeny's food out of her mouth. Such fun to see them playfully wrestling! Dopey has matured into a fine young monkey, and appears well-adapted to his new life in the bachelor troop. With feeding help from you, Arroz, and their own natural resilience, these three have melted my heart at various times. Teeny still remains my favourite. I'm tickled pink they've both gotten old and healthy enough to have time to play! For some reason I'm exhausted so I'll have to finish in the morning. Hah, he just said the same thing in the video while I'm typing! (well, I know the reason life crap, realtor is coming over tomorrow to check on the house because the landlord may sell it. I have always wondered: why didn't Tiny and Teeny just swallow any food they got when they were so small? Did they feel some sort of obligation to feed their mom (and aunt) from their own pouches? I am still horrified though.
@Donna Witteried. Most monkeys will stuff food in their pre esophageal pouches (squirrels do the same) It’s a way for them to gather as much food, and get to safety to eat it. You’ve seen the monkeys pushing food with their fist from the pouches into their mouths where they then chew and swallow Teeny & Tiny didn’t feel obligated. Their mother would just take it. She would hold them down and literally steal the food out. Tina is at the bottom of the hierarchy and most often only got crumbs herself. If she didn’t eat, she could not produce milk for them. It’s also believed that this is a learned behavior from her mother as Tina’s sister Skinny was also seen doing it. I hope Teeny and Tiny don’t do it to their children but we have a few years before we’ll find out. Hope that helps.

But I just thought that under such dire circumstances, Tiny and Teeny would have swallowed some of the crumbs they got before Tina and her sister got to them. Why save anything once they understood that they were going to have it stolen. Maybe they wouldn't have suffered so. I also worry that Teeny may continue this horrid behavior.
@@donnawitteried3213 I really can’t say. I suppose it’s just their behavior to pouch the food. (Dire consequences or not?) If you remember Tiny, he gathered food like he was on a mission. Both of them did. They just kept their heads down constantly looking and trying to grab food before even the crumbs were taken. They learned they had to be fast. When they got old enough, they still pouched but they just chewed their food away from Mom.
@@kkossor3046 We met Skinny when her daughter Skimpy was a baby and I don't remember her ever stealing food from Skimpy, I remember her dropping the end of a sweet potato for Skimpy.
You are so very right Arroz, no Porsche needed to symbolize status or proof of success. Their longevity is the only proof and status of success needed against such unbelievable odds. Kudos Dopey, Tiny and sweet Teeny.
It must be so hard to go from a life where mom take such good care of you food is plenty to a life were you have to scavenge for every thing but I know they’ve learned every thing they need to survive until their accepted to a troop

It seems only a little number but we have been in the strictest form of lockdown since the Tuesday night after it was discovered. No work, no shopping, no leaving your house unless an emergency, no mixing with anyone except the people who live in your home, no church, nothing. Imagine how much it would have spread if we hadn’t been been put into lockdown.
Teeny no longer has a big belly. Tiny is so much bigger than Teeny. I can remember when my heart almost stopped when Teeny fell off thst roof to the rock floor below. Gypsy had left her up there. Thank you for saving Teeny. She spent most of her energy the first year trying to stay alive that she had none left for growth. It was wonderful to see the Dopster too.
Please forgive me. I got two somtimes bad moms mixed up. Please check to see if I am right now. Tina, Teeny's mom lefft her on the roof. Teeny, Trina and Tiny belong to Tina and her family belong to Skullhead Troop. Gypsy and kody amd her new baby belong to Our Gang and Bossy is the matriarch.
I always enjoy watching Teeny. She is so independent now. I noticed Trina does not have that nasty tattoo. I wonder why she does not have any babies yet.
I'm so grateful there will not be another baby tortured this year, just lots of playing in the sunshine 🙏 for two of the strongest little souls I know.

Tiny and Teeny have come a long way from those scrawny beings they once were. I truly did not think Teeny would be with us for long when she was young. Looked like she had mere days left. Am you pulled a plan together that worked and saved her life. Dopey will always be interesting to track his life and see how he gets on. After watching these videos, if I was ever on Monkey Hill Rd. I would look for the bachelor boys and give them a ton of goodies.

Loved the Nigel show, the way he runs is just adorable. I am happy he is so comfortable with Nan. I Remember her popping Nora for mistreating Nigel in the beginning. Glad to see Libby and her little one who yes seems very active already.

I almost didn’t recognize Teeny; her face is maturing. I think she is going to look exactly like her mother Tina.
Teeny is my favorite of all of the monkeys. She seemed to be such an old soul when she was a baby working so tirelessly to find food to sustain herself. And she was feeding herself and also her mother who was stealing Teeny’s hard earned food from her pouches. That little girl has heart!
It is so nice to see them bloom! When they were in their first year they couldn't accomplish any skills except hunting for the smallest crumbs. Their maturation was stalled becaue of poor nutrition and lacking a proper mum. She was underweight and had developed a nasty habit of forcefully stealing food from her babies. It was gross to watch!
I can't hardly believe that the rather large gangly teen used to be the cutest and yet most pitiful little starving nugget ever.
Dopey still owns my heart.

Teeny, Tiny, and Dopey have all come a long way--the first two from an uncertain infancy, and a thief mother, Tina, who would callously steal Teeny's food out of her mouth. Such fun to see them playfully wrestling!
Dopey has matured into a fine young monkey, and appears well-adapted to his new life in the bachelor troop.
With feeding help from you, Arroz, and their own natural resilience, these three have melted my heart at various times. Teeny still remains my favourite.
Thank you for following up on their lives at present, and giving us insight as a result.

I have always wondered: why didn't Tiny and Teeny just swallow any food they got when they were so small? Did they feel some sort of obligation to feed their mom (and aunt) from their own pouches? I am still horrified though.
@Donna Witteried. Most monkeys will stuff food in their pre esophageal pouches (squirrels do the same) It’s a way for them to gather as much food, and get to safety to eat it. You’ve seen the monkeys pushing food with their fist from the pouches into their mouths where they then chew and swallow Teeny & Tiny didn’t feel obligated. Their mother would just take it. She would hold them down and literally steal the food out. Tina is at the bottom of the hierarchy and most often only got crumbs herself. If she didn’t eat, she could not produce milk for them. It’s also believed that this is a learned behavior from her mother as Tina’s sister Skinny was also seen doing it. I hope Teeny and Tiny don’t do it to their children but we have a few years before we’ll find out. Hope that helps.
@@kkossor3046 Yeah, I get that Tina was starving too. But I just thought that under such dire circumstances, Tiny and Teeny would have swallowed some of the crumbs they got before Tina and her sister got to them. Why save anything once they understood that they were going to have it stolen. Maybe they wouldn't have suffered so. I also worry that Teeny may continue this horrid behavior.
@@donnawitteried3213 I really can’t say. I suppose it’s just their behavior to pouch the food. (Dire consequences or not?) If you remember Tiny, he gathered food like he was on a mission. Both of them did. They just kept their heads down constantly looking and trying to grab food before even the crumbs were taken. They learned they had to be fast. When they got old enough, they still pouched but they just chewed their food away from Mom.
@@kkossor3046 We met Skinny when her daughter Skimpy was a baby and I don't remember her ever stealing food from Skimpy, I remember her dropping the end of a sweet potato for Skimpy.
Wasn't it their Mom, Tina and their older sister, Trina who stole food from them?

It must be so hard to go from a life where mom take such good care of you food is plenty to a life were you have to scavenge for every thing but I know they’ve learned every thing they need to survive until their accepted to a troop

It seems only a little number but we have been in the strictest form of lockdown since the Tuesday night after it was discovered. No work, no shopping, no leaving your house unless an emergency, no mixing with anyone except the people who live in your home, no church, nothing. Imagine how much it would have spread if we hadn’t been been put into lockdown.
So Tina is Tiny’s and Teeny’s mother, but she’s not allowed to to coddle or feed them? I’ll have to watch more videos to get the whole story.
Teeny no longer has a big belly. Tiny is so much bigger than Teeny. I can remember when my heart almost stopped when Teeny fell off thst roof to the rock floor below. Gypsy had left her up there. Thank you for saving Teeny. She spent most of her energy the first year trying to stay alive that she had none left for growth. It was wonderful to see the Dopster too.
I think you are mistaken, Gypsy is in a different troop than Teeny. I doubt the two have ever come in contact.
