Nigel’s face is all cut up, most likely by Nora. Nan watched Nora kill her baby a year ago, she constantly tried to help out but not via violent intervention. She probably did not think that the baby would die. This year she is determined to not let it happen again. Nigel get’s very little affection from his mother.
I get a huge kick out of this too! I just love how protective big sisters are of their baby siblings and you can practically feel how badly they yearn to cuddle them although they know they can't yet. I love the moms who are tolerant of their girls who are enchanted with a new baby although I understand the protectiveness of the moms too.

At 16:58, Essie almost looks like she’s smiling at her new little sibling. Bee’s baby boy is so cute too. But WOW! Little Nigel is amazing! Such a cute little boy & very agile. Nora seems so much better now. She’s very lucky to have Nan around to help her in those early days. Now she actually looks like a regular loving Mom. Hormones…I think that is the root of Nora’s postnatal difficulties. Celessa likes her new brother too.

Yours is the second mention of too much heat and not any rain in sight. I live in Oklahoma and we've had too much rain in some areas. There was even some flooding Sunday night. It's hard to believe that we were "the dust bowl" at one time. I wish that there was a way to share some of this rain with you guys out west. Sending prayers for everyone! 🙏🌧️💧
