Vinny was spot on with the happy home designer comparison. A "half a game" that focuses on one specific aspect of the series and isn't very good, but can be integrated into future full games. Let's Go really doesn't look any good but I'll take any improvements it might bring to the table
I think people are harping on the "Let's Go" catching system too much. I think we have to remember that it's a full remake of pokemon yellow. My prediction is they're getting rid of running into wild pokemon and having to battle them to catch them. Because frankly, it wasn't fun. It was annoying. Pokemon GO proved that there was another way to catch pokemon and so they're putting that in place. There's still leveling and battling. It just looks like you won't be wasting time battle random pokemon in the wild.
My personal issues with it don't lie exclusively with the wild battle system. The game just looks half baked, dumbed down, and even simpler than usual. It is made specifically for people who aren't really familiar with Pokémon games as far as I can tell. Again, the HHD comparison is really apt.

In my humble opinion, I'm lead to believe that the let's go eevee and pikachu integrating pokemon GO was a means of keeping the app relevant and in people's attentions, for either keeping interest, or getting newcomers. The game itself as it is appears more like Gamefreak is testing the waters for dropping in, not only a pokemon game to the switch, but also featuring multiplayer as a new possibility beyond just pvp battles. It'll be interesting to see if said new legit pokemon generation will incorporate whatever Game Freak has learned from trying a couple new things. As for cubivore meets pokemon, I'm not sure what to think much of it. Looks cute. Reminds me of cubivore, just without the tearing of polygon limbs off.

Ultimate Mode, no items is easy cus Zangetsu gets a charge shot that does a TON of damage and has a wide range. I’d say Boss Rush without ANY items and healing.
Vappy is a really cool guy, he doesn't cut the stupid vinny bullshit, but he cuts the bad stuff, like freakouts or racist stuff or just bad vibes in general.
Darth Dio can’t tell if you’re being sincere so I’ll answer it anyway. He was supposed to talking with an effect applied to his voice but he didn’t have it on so it sounded as it did. The effect makes it sound like the bad ending of Chrono Trigger.
