- There are six bells hung in St Peter & St Paul's church in Forncett St Peter. The round tower holds a three tier frame, formed of oak in 1937 by John Taylor and Co, at which point five bells were hung. In 1982 the ring of five was augmented to six with the addition of a treble by John Taylor & Co (Bellfounders) Ltd, at which time an additional steel frame was created by the local ringing community with help from the Norwich Diocesan Association.
The tenor was cast in 1875 by John Warner & Sons, the 5th in 1737 by Thomas Newman, The 3rd and 4th in 1602 by William Brend and the 2nd at the time of the augmentation to five in 1937 by John Taylor & Co.
The bells are quite easy to ring and strike and the videos featured in this compilation were recorded during our tower grab tour of Summer 2023.
They go nice!!!!!.
I was just watching that James May video where he watches reviews of his gin. Is that you?! Kind of a funny coincidence because I was watching this video earlier today.
