    Another great video and a simple yet understandable description of how to mitigate block problems with trains like the ICE. Much appreciated!

    The very essence of M's 3-rail benefits and brilliance of the system proficiently explained and cherished👍 This should provide for quite some movements on the layout. Well worth the wait for seeing it to come together in the end.

    Your way of doing this is so different from what I do. I'll stick to what I do. You stick to what you do. Sometimes we are just different persons 🙂

      @@The3rdRail there would be just one magnet on a single train, so no second trigger to make the retained train start too early. Or I have missed something.

    Your modifications on the original are really clever. You should have plenty of activity on what you propose. Are you far from starting to lay track?

    • @The3rdRail
      @The3rdRail  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. When I start laying track is still up in the air, the plan still needs a bit of work, which might bring a few problems to solve before I can move to that stage.

    Dear sir, I first wanted to thank you for your very clear and concise videos regarding the Marklin M track system, it is quite ingenious if one knows how to use it properly. There is however one problem that I run into on my layouts, and it happens when a train crosses tracks to a block controlled by a different transformer. When that happens, a spark occurs between the slider and the two tracks, and power temporarily shorts in the system. I cannot imagine that marklin allowed this to be the case, but I have not found a working solution to the problem. How do you work around this issue when using multiple transformers?

    • @The3rdRail
      @The3rdRail  ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to ensure your transformers use a common ground and are in phase. There is an older video where I show how to do this here: th-cam.com/video/atYob18JTRs/w-d-xo.html.

      @@The3rdRail thank you so much for the quick response, I hope that will solve the issue. It has also helped in the further planning of the layout regarding power consumption etc. Your channel is truly incredible if it comes to information about the marklin M system
