+TavalineGamer thats all about it, graphically its fantastic, handling is on the sport but the way the cars are position in the driver's view is really bad
+TN gamer The AI is very good, but sometimes too aggressive. Sadly, the game is unplayable with many bugs and fps issues. I can't even properly play it because it drops from 60-30 fps in 5 laps and then gets sometimes even worse.
+TN gamer Yeah 2015 is the best of all Codies F1 games. No career mode but not a big deal. Career is back for 2016. Couldnt give my top 5 from Codies. Me playing F1 games in order- F1 99, F1 Challenge 99-02, Grand Prix 4, F1 Championship Edition (PS3), F1 2015
I'm sitting here and still playing f1 2012 and F1 2014... Ah yes, i still have F1 2006 which is one of the best f1 because many failure engineerings, unexpected crash, and fair.
Engine Failures is the best thing in F1 2006; you, on 1st place, and then, the car stop working, you look behind and theres smoke. This was the saddest thing in Carrer Mode, and the A.I is the best, when their cars have Engine Failure, they get out the track, a simple thing, but when i was kid, it was someting totally awesome, and the Damage, Ohhh boi, the damage, idk how many times i crashed in Monaco lol. And the hardest track ever: Brazil. Such an amazing track and such Amazing Game!
I want a game with all f1 seasons but that is impossible:(. A game with the seasons from 1990-2015 or something like that would be nice with modes like "Schumacher's carrier and stuff like this
+Nicoreo Your best bet is to look into getting rFactor for PC. There are a ton of great F1 mods for it and best of all, most of it is free. Only issue is the games don't offer quite the same "Championship" experience.
Graphically 2013 still looks beautiful and it really pisses me off how Codemasters have just taken this model and basically the same graphics. F1 2013 was brilliant.
Am I the only one who truly loves F1 2009? Good stuff about F1 2009 - Challenge mode, a full section that keeps your PB's, stat biographies about each driver, if you know what I mean, real life pictures for when you picked a driver in quick race, 4 different accounts, and the option to do 10% races, and that qualifying was ALOT closer between teams and drivers of different abilities, meaning that you could be challenging for pole position, miss a single apex, and qualify 13th. Bad stuff about F1 2009 - Bad graphics, bad handling, but only because Wii steering wheels don't self-centre, and you only had Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty, and once you got the hang of it, you can beat the game every time. 8 goods, 3 bads. Doesn't that tell you something? I played the heck out of it, and never got bored! #BringBackChallengeMode
I bought f1 2013 as a need for speed "veteran" and was kind of surprised yet not surprised at all when I realized how much you really needed a racing wheel to play. I've gotten decent with a keyboard and mouse, but I know that I could go faster with proper hardware. I absolutely love the vintage cars and circuits. Its super fun in Co-op too.
If Codemasters released F1 2016 in the manner they've advertised it, it could be up there with F1 2013 and a scenario mode on the same level would launch it further ahead despite the lack of classic content.
I know this is a CodeMaster list, but man F1 2002,that game was childhood for me from 2006 till 2012,then i started with F1 Challenge 99-02 wich basically was the same but with different car sounds but extra seasons wich makes the game longer to play. And you also change the difficulties and etc. during mid season.
We need a game with the feel and authenticity of F1 2010, standing in the paddock with such a goose pimply environment, we NEED it again. Why don't they do it?
im gonna get one thing straight i loved 2014 and i couldnt wait for 2015 but the fact they didnt make it for xbox 360/ps3 (as i call the current gen) the hype for me went and some one who loved the games since f1 2009 on the wii, this just killed it, lucky for me i have f1 2013 to keep me going
I think what made F1 2010 broken was turning tire wear on and off - for some reason that was the deal breaker, if that was off, basically all cars were equal. And I kinda enjoyed that, being able to run and compete with Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull in my...erm...Lotus (Caterham!). Also I loved the handling in that one, so comfortable - 2011's handling model felt really weird and wobbly. Agreed on F1 2013 though - what a game. To put classic, ridiculously fast and hard to drive F1 cars into that game and make them fun and challenging to blast around in was a great feat - AND the classic content had it's own scenario mode with Murray Walker on voiceover! Doesn't get better. In fact, I blame that game for me getting a 2:1 at uni rather than a first :P
I preferred 2012 to 2013, It was difficult but not too difficult for those on a control pad rather than the steering wheel. Although I loved the 2013 classic cars and tracks, I just struggled to be competitive in career mode.
Probably the reason why f1 2013 had classic mode was because the 2013 season didn't have any new tracks it was the same order as the 2012 season which made it boring. Because 2017 will have the same order and no new races for 2017 it should have classic mode infact a bigger one. Or a 2007/8 season mode
2017 is much better cuz last year (f1 2016) when EVERY SINGLE TIME i tried to go head on to a barrier absolutly nothing would happen to the tires, and the damage model in f1 2017 is better
True 2013 was the most complete came overall, but 2012 is where the challenge is at!! It's the only F1 game Codie's got right with the simulation steering. The other F1 games they came out with felt like go carts and too easy to drive. They need to bring back simulation steering!!!
but only F1 2010 got the feeling of F1 atmosphere right. Interviews, paddock, agent, great thrilling music themes, and I would say sence of glamour and prestige which was totally lacking in all next games and which is so essential to this racing series. Of course in terms of mechanics there were plenty of crappy mistakes but F1 2010 will always have a special place in my heart I play it nowadays as much as f1 2016 and I will never uninstall it!
How does F1 2017 rate on your list? Its the only one i own and have played. I think its well done. Damage is a touchy, no tire punctures. But i think its a fun game.
1- 2012 2- 2010 3- 2013 4- 2014 5- 2011 I think that while some aspects of career mode were lost in 2012, I think it gained massively with it's tiered system, making career mode feel fresh, a feeling that only 2010 gave me at the time. 2013's career mode was lacking which is why I ranked it 3rd
Also the classic content was slightly lacking and they missed out classic McLaren's and Senna. Some of the drivers that were included in classic mode were mediocre drivers at best
Fun fact: Codemasters' F1 franchise is a shadow of their creative potential, if compared to their DIRT / GRID / DTM serieses..... #CodiesF1GamesEqualMEH
Agree that 2013 is the best of Codemasters efforts. The only problem I had with it was the stupid yellow filter they had on it when you used the 80's cars, fucking annoyed me big time.

+CptGiorgis Agreed, the graphics are fantastic - problem is, and probably why Dre put 2011 above it, is that 2015 literally is a tech demo. Nice AI and graphics, barely ANY gameplay or feature content, and broken multiplayer.
I have f1 2013 and i like it very much. and belong to the video i was think there is no f1 2013 :v but the last of best f1 codemasters game was surprising me!
still playing f1 2013!!!

6 seconds time penalty for out of the track is the biggest shit of F1 2006
Creating a bot race and watching it. Placing top teams at the end of the grid was awesome
F1 2012 lads
@@veronviper06 2012 is shit , 2006 is for legends

i wish they made new game that only focuses to old years something like F1 challange 99-02 . with nice career mod ofc

I love it to
I liked it since it was all I would play on the wii :D
Number 1 Gaming Another bad thing: You can't retire by crashinh
I love it a lot too. Gives me a lot of nostalgia.
I like 2013 and 2020
In future f1 games need to add custom season where you can add classic tracks or subtract track in the f1 season.
2013 best game !!!
F1 Challenge 99-02 is the best so far F1 game
It wasn't made by codemasters, but yes it is in the top 5 on my lost.

I think the classic content on 13 would have been nearly perfect If they had senna and Mclaren
+Ryan Ferris They couldn't do that because the game would have gone up from a PEGI 7 to a PEGI 16 due to the Marlboro McLaren Livery
forza 6 has the mp4/4 and thats a PEGI 3
But it doesn't have Marlboro written on the side of it.
That's why the Williams in F1 2014/15 deosn't have martini or the red stripe on it. Because it would promote an alcohol and make the rating jump.
ye but the lotus in the classic content didn't have JPS on it
They could do that because the whole car wasn't styled over the logo. Like any marlboro McLaren was..

+CptGiorgis Agreed, the graphics are fantastic - problem is, and probably why Dre put 2011 above it, is that 2015 literally is a tech demo. Nice AI and graphics, barely ANY gameplay or feature content, and broken multiplayer.
+Team Bombersports BUT in turn you get a better feel for the car in F1 2015, and in my opinion a better handling model.
