Hsd these fitted to my GR Yaris, im 6ft and it definitely needed doing. Only thing is the slider bar rattles on occasion as it hits the base. I can live with it, as the driving position is far better all round.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I was going to send my kits back to SW Motorsport as I couldn't follow the instructions very easily! I got as far as the trim removal stage and reverted back to standard as I didn't want to start cutting the wiring loom away, but your video made it a lot clearer as to what to do, so I'm going to have another go! I've got passenger & driver side to do, wish me luck!...
@@FaithlessEmoRacing I've just successfully fitted the driver & passenger kits & couldn’t have done without your help, thank you! If you ever do the passenger side yourself, let me know as it’s quite different! 😉👍🏼
Was thinking about lowering the passenger seat on my GRY Mk2. I still am driving the only one registered in the Netherlands on the roads, about 2 or 3 more months and there will be around 8 of them on the roads in the country. The new Mk2 driver's seat in there is 25mm lower and it's perfect TBH, I'm about the same height as you and they also raised the mirror. But the passenger seat is still still very high up and doesn't have the lowering lever like the GRY Mk1 still. Feels like it's locked in at the just a bit below the highest setting of the driver's seat From the looks of it, it's interchangeable between left and right hand drive, so your kit would I'm assuming be the same. Amusingly I'm going to be using it on the same side of the car as you hehehe
Thanks for the video mate. I'm struggling with the seat height on my car as I find it difficult to find a good position with the leading edge of the seat and the pedals. I figure a lower position will solve that. Will have to get one of these kits.
I got used to the sitting on the car feeling. But once I tired this I felt like i was back in a sports car. Being taller you shouldn’t need a steering wheel spacer. For me at full drop it’s too low for me!
I am 6”1’ also and there is a problem lowering to its lowest position. It does seem to catch on plastic. Not investigated further but check with manufacturer before buying
I got the same , but for pass side drivers side ok for me! Only a short ass at 5ft 8🤣 Best thing I bought was the steering wheel spacer! Massive difference 👌🚗
I have to say I’ve been daily driving it and not noticed any flex and no issues. I notice flex usually due to seeing a lot in sim racing. But not noticed any so far!
Are you sure there’s no flex or bending in the seat since fitment? Thought the seat was supposed to run on those black sliders, doesn’t the instructions say use WD40 or similar?
I’ve been daily driving the car and taken on track and not noticed any flex! I’ve not had to run any WD40 either. The driver seat I don’t move forward and back day to day and once in my seating position it hasn’t moved.
@ Thanks for your response. I may be mistaken but thought the online fitting instructions for this model showed the modified seat sitting on those black runners.
@ just checked after my drive to work. Mine hasn’t marked the black runners. I currently have the seat one pump from the bottom, but just dropped it now and doesn’t seem to touch the black plastic strips.
@@tinman917also just checked and at 18:28 if you check to the left of the picture you can see a gap between the plastic strip and the base. Hope this helps.
Great install!
Those left over bolts are to replace the original T50 torx head bolts that mounts the base into the car 👍🏻
Thank you for the clarity on that! will swap them over!
Big thanks for making this video, it made the install on my own GR Yaris so much easier. Keep it up 🙌

@ayrton8 glad to hear.
Thanks for making this video. It has really helped me to decide to get this seat lowring kit.
Great to hear, hopefully you will have seen in the comments the bolts that were left over were the replacement to the T50 bolts.
I got the one from the steering wheel spacer shop!
A must do 👌🚗💨
Just brought a 2024 Corolla GR GTS and I just fit (I'm 6"6)...I might need to look into this mount..👍
I have had no complaints so far and has given me more room than I know what to do with.
@mlassz009 did you do this? I’m skeptical it will fit the GR Corolla.
Dammm bro Im 6"5' And I need this. Where can I order?

Thanks for sharing. Nice video. I’m 6’1” and feel like I sit on the car, rather than in it…! Looks like a sensible mod for me. Cheers Ross

Yeah I noticed im bit far back from the wheel when fully low! Which steering wheel spacer did you go for?
Great video, been considering this for a while. Is the kit too heavy though?🤔
It does have some weight to it. But I suppose this needs to be pretty strong and it is weight down low in the car.
Noticed any flex or bending in the seat since fitment?

Did they only make them for driver side? Or have a pair to lower both left and right seats?
They make them for both sides. Can also go for non adjustable too.
