The only thing that actually frustrates me about souls games is the downtime between getting killed by a boss and the getting to fight it again. Granted this might just be due to trying to play something like Elden Ring on a Ps4 (don't know if load times are faster on better hardware), but it truly irks my soul to have to wait like 3 minutes just for the boss to kill me in like 30 seconds. Like I'm thinking to when I fought Maliketh. Generous bonfire placement, so the actual run back is very easy, but the boss itself is no joke, right? Now normally, he'd be the type of boss I'd love to actually learn to fight on my own, ya know, learn that dance so I can get into the flow and rock him with a fun weapon. But those load times, man. I would have no problem getting my shit rekt in three hits if I could just Spawn back in a few seconds so I could keep that momentum and get right back to the fight, but no, if I wanna play it straight and fair I've got to sit there doing nothing for like 3 minutes just to die like 40 into the actual fight. That completely killed my desire to fight him the fun way, so I just said fuck it and chewed him out (mimic tear and spamming the U. Greatsword power standing jump attack). Again, I'm sure that's a me problem and I'm sure load times are better on ps5, but damn if that don't shit in my pudding.

My build on elden ring was a heavy halberd user, except I also was speced into magic and incantations. Along with using talismans that neutered my defense, and I was too heavy too dodge. Yes , the game is hard. But just like the first dark souls, self reflection will show you the way.

I’ve only played lies of p but I may play all souls games now when many remasters and say elder ring goes on discount but though I don’t have time to learn it I can still watch YT for cheap tricks and I’ll just farm levels cz at least you can farm your strength up to have an easier time. The longest actual combo is like 8 hits, and it's Hourah loux's attack where he poses really cool for it for like 3 whole seconds before letting it go
