    Dr Gundry is one of the best doctors that I have ever came across.He could teach most of the world's doctors,a lot.Most of them do not even have a clue.Cannot wait to get this book.

    Thank you for this video! My husband and I just started this new way of eating and it’s really helpful to hear your stories. It’s easy to criticize what’s new - and there are tons of critical comments out there, so your positive feedback is super helpful. I’m curious how it’s going now, 3 years later.

    I am very ... VERY glad to have stumbled over your video / testament / of this diet. I am "Just Beginning" to learn how various (quazi) foods are making us so sick.... I? began to suffer a LOT of pain very similarly in MY OWN Behavior to the way you (The Mrs. ) was describing.... I was literally "Laid Up" all day Sat, and or Sunday.... "wasted / recovering" from pains that I perceived as "arthritic" or "Joint/Muscle" --- I am not a "wuss" I can push thru pain, [I have VERY physical work] but THIS? was getting absurd... The last few months of last year I had NEVER.... felt such bodily pain / I HAD to stop working / and took a break for a couple months - I'm CONVINCED.... it is a nutritional problem...... (Nor did I really truly think I was "unhealthy" at a fundamental level....) But I did have PAIN... I began experimenting with Nutrients / Sleep / and changing eating / studying better eating.... and I only JUST discovered this Dr.... "Gundry" (Been following leads from another doc who DID find Nutritional connections with pain/sleep) .... but? .... I already kinda just "Believe" it. I absolutely BELIEVE what you guys are saying. And --- I had a nice giggle just now when you mentioned how "HOKEY" It made you feel to mention the "Special Deals"...... yet, once you start living / eating a certain way.... I suppose you've GOT to start buying what works. Recently? I JUST began supplementing with "Good" quality gut bacteria / and plenty of B's.... but am still Learning about Foods.... VERY IMPRESSED With Your "Real Life Video"..... complete with kids banging around in the background!!!! Good Luck Guys.... (Goin to look for grass fed beef right now) LoL .... / and finishing the LAST of my "Bad Burgers"... thanx guys.

    Well done guys! Thanks for sharing your experience. I've been on the diet for almost 50 days and I've never felt better. I didn;t have a disease but so many things I thought were normal pain for a 38 yo woman have disappeared, I haven't had an advil since I started (I used to have about 16 of them every month). I'm also getting back to my normal weight, I lost 11lbs so far.

    I was on Cimzia for Crohn's disease for about 7 years and achieved FULL remission until suddenly my symptoms returned except for visible GI bleeding although my red cell count was a little low. My GI doc told me my immune system was neutralizing at the Cimzia and I needed to switch to another biologic agent, Humira. After a few months, my disease was not doing as well as it did on Cimzia and he wanted to switch me again. I told him I wanted to try this new Plant Paradox thing first. I have a 3 month follow-up appointment coming up in about 2 months. The GI doc was skeptical and never heard of lectins. After about 2 weeks, I am using about 1/3 the toilet paper I was before and have fewer BM's. The cramping pain and bloating are much improved. I can't wait to see what my inflammatory markers will be at my next follow-up appointment. I am highly encouraged thus far. I sleep like a rock and my brain fog is way down. Keep the faith.

      M. Barry Cannell thank you for sharing your story! I'm happy to hear that you are doing better after only 2 weeks on the diet. I hope it works as well for you as it has me. So far my symptoms have reduced nearly 90% as long as I remain faithful to the diet. I am still doing the cimzia injections but in a month or two I hope to stop those because I don't think I will need them anymore with my gut healing so much. Definitely keep us posted. We wish you the best of health and quality of life!

      M. Barry Cannell You’ve got to keep trying and also detox the metals in your body. Please look into silica water and cilantro and chlorella detox. Please read the book “Crooked” by Forrest Maready for more info on aluminum toxicity. Eat high glycine foods too. You’ll get better. Also are you taking lots of vitamin D? My mom had Chron’s and MS. The drugs did her in and I am so glad when I see someone trying to get better in a natural way. All the best to you!

    My wife and I love your videos, keep it up!
    I am 5 weeks in, lost 25 lbs, taking half dose of hypertension medicine, eczema on left hand greatly reduced, and eczema on right hand a bit less reduced, not snoring at night ever now (wife can't tell I am asleep or not), skin on back is much clearer, psoriasis on feet slowly getting a little smaller in surface area, heartburn seems gone now, and when I get up in the morning, I don't have any stiffness in my joints like I used to, and I seem to think faster now than I used to (no brain fog). And following Plant Paradox was all I changed and taking supplements (Vit D3 + Fish Oil + VitalReds + PrebioThrive), I have not counted calories or exercised regularly.
    I did have some dull stomach aches in the first month, so I did not eat enough calories, but I did not feel hungry!
    So I lost too much weight too fast, that is the only mistake I made here. Very big fan.

      Congratulations on making it 5 weeks so far!!! Wow! Thanks for sharing your success so far! It is really encouraging to us and I'm sure to anyone who reads your comments. Like you I have had skin conditions for decades and most of my symptoms are now gone. I learned the hard way they do come back if I get lazy and eat bad food, candy, etc.though. So stay strong and hopefully in 5 months you will have forgotten you even used to have those all those ailments.

    There are people strongly against Dr. Gundrys philosophy, but in my PERSONAL experience... he has been 100% on the money. ALL digestive issues gone, ssooooooo much energy, no more cramps, sleeping better, less panic attacks before bed (i still have some due to anxiety, but that has even gotten better since the elimination of grains)
    i feel amazing, and i feel happier every day

  • @amitiu1

    Congratulations to both of you! Your testimony, as well as the videos you shared, are huge! They are so important that could encourage people who are hesitating just because of complexity of this diet! Me and my wife reached the 14th day, and we are recognizing a lot of your reactions and results. We were not feeling sick or having pain, we only decided to improve our health, as before having small health degradation. I, for example, I have the same disease, Seborrheic dermatitis, as William Gerber, which I didn't know that is an autoimmune disease. But now, that I know, even better that I started this way of living (it's much more than a diet). I feel great, full of energy now, not feeling hungry, very optimistic in everything. However, we can not order in Romania the Vital Red and/or Lectin Block (Gundry MD administrator said that they have some customs issues for the moment for Europe (only UK and Denmark are OK))) . So we take fluid Vitamin D3 and Biotin. This is all.
    I have a question for you: As we buy the chicken from the country side from individual farmers that we know well, we can not order only the chicken breast. We buy the whole chicken and we keep in fridge the other parts or cook a part of it for our son. But we still have a lot! :-) Did you use only the chicken breast? Would be the use of the legs a cheat?.
    Thank you again for your posting!

    • @DaveHales
      @DaveHales  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your very kind comments! It make us happy to know people are finding our videos helpful. Congratulations on making the decision to eat and live a healthier lifestyle and making it 14 days so far on the diet! As for the chicken, as far as I know the entire chicken is okay to eat if it they are pasture raised. If we find a local farmer who sells the whole chicken then we will buy it that way too.

    • @lisbethbird8268
      @lisbethbird8268 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are the best kind of chicken! By all means eat the whole thing and then make bone broth from the carcass. The broth has huge but healing power (l-glutamine). Just make sure the birds aren't fed gmo, pesticide saturated grains and legumes as their main feed.

    • @lisbethbird8268
      @lisbethbird8268 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, you don't need to buy expensive supplements. Yes vit. D3 and fish oil or else lots of fish. Regular multivitamin/mineral if you can get quality.

    This review is great! I just purchased the Total Recovery and waiting for it to arrive in the mail. There's criticism out there towards Dr. Gundry so it's hard to know what to believe but nothing beats hearing real life testimonials. I'm on a 37 year old woman and have been suffering with hives for the past 8 years and it's not getting better. I think I'm feeling arthritis as well but not diagnosed. Really looking forward to adopting this new lifestyle and seeing what results it can bring.

Thanks for explaining about the meals, the website that looks fraudulent and the withdrawls, etc..... Its nice to have to good, bad and ugly. So very proud of you guys!!! I'm 10 weeks in... and like you & so many others commenting... I'm feeling sooooo much less pain, brain fog, toilet paper use way down 😂, depression has lifted, lost 15 lbs, and am optimistic that deeper healing is occurring! Congrats AZ Life!! I'm so grateful for you both-- your time and energy sharing your journey is incredibly helpful. ❤️💛💚💙💜 yay!!! And your health markers are improving too-- Huge congratulations 🍾 (champagne is ok! 😂)
    I've been in a ton of pain for 4 years... hashimotos/hypothyroid & fibromyalgia. Like so many others.. crazy results in 3-7 days! Getting back to exercise has been slow... and my energy isn't always super high, but I know a lot of change is occurring. I take vital reds and primal plants, fish oil, vit E and C, and a probiotic from amazon with BC-30 (Dr. Tobias Deep Immune 4.4 billion). My skin is getting better too! Although loose--fro losing weight. Oh well 😂

      Pamela, your story resonated with me! As well as the "loose skin" part. Body brushing has worked for me, in that area! But I've done the Teresa Tapp method of body brushing. No, I'm not a representative of hers, believe me! I'm just a 50+ year old mom, who tried her program and found that it worked for me, so I'm sticking with what works, which includes: Dr. Gundry's Plant Paradox!!!

    fabulous to hear that you guys are doing great
    i just bought the book and am reading into phase 2 atm. im going shopping today for my phase one foods
    im excited to hear that she lost 16 lbs in 8 weeks. thats amazing!
    ive needed to lose weight for the past 15 years and have struggled with my weight all my life
    my diet growing up was pinto beans, cornbread and potatoes and onions on every week night. weekends were usually meat loaf or spegheti. its because we were so poor. ive done the keto diet, the low carb diet and ive tried the medifast diet, im having faith that God sent me in this direction to clean my gut and give me good health. it makes sense knowing that all the foods i grew up with have cause me such issues.
    God bless you both

    Hello fellow paradoxers! I told my husband about this video (he is not yet a fan), and he was a skeptic, saying you might have been paid to do this. I had to laugh- this is obviously true to your lives. I saw this video and then watched some of your earlier ones, and I was shocked on your beginning days and the challenges you faced, and how you still stuck with it. You inspired me to try more recipes. I have to agree the marketing on the Gundry supplements seems a bit out there, but I decided to take the plunge, and I am loving them. Dr. Gundry made me a believer in supplements, and I am doing testing to make sure they are helping. My fish oil (from sardines and anchovies) has a lemon after-feel- nothing fishy at all like you experienced. On the other hand, you did it on less supplements and you are doing so, so awesome! What happens is that once you get mostly better, you want to get all the way better, and why not take advantage of whatever will advance your health cause. I am now subscribing to your vlog.

    • @DaveHales
      @DaveHales  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for kind your comments! I'll have to try a different fish oil, we have not been taking any beyond our initial experimentation but I want to. I can totally relate to your husband's skepticism and I wish we were getting paid LOL! I (Dave) am the biggest skeptic on health and diet stuff because someone is always in it just for the money and will say/do anything to make money even if they know what they are selling is a scam. So one thing that attracted me to the book was that it taught us how to eat better and did not push us to buy his products. In fact, in the book he shows how to do the diet without buying any of his products. So I decided to make the videos in the off chance the diet actually worked so other skeptics like me could see our journey and unbiased results. In the past 9 weeks I have gone from skeptic to fan and in all honesty if someone were to pay me to promote this diet I'd be happy to do it because it has literally changed our lives for the better.

    Thanks for sharing your diet with plantparadox. I have been doing the vital Reds and prebiothrive since February and loved it. You said in the eight weeks video that the vital Reds was a Prebiotic. You might want to check that out in your book because on page 280 it talks about prebiothrive that it is your pre biotic. That may be why he is not getting faster results with the Crohn's disease if he's not using the biothrive. Hope you see this and check it out I think it might help

    Please keep in mind you don’t just wake up one day with arthritis, it takes years before it presents itself with sever symptoms, that goes for all disease in the body. Furthermore as much as I love sour cream and cream cheeses, dairy is Not a health food or even required my the body for health. Also ALL “dis-ease” in the body is autoimmune which basically is inflammation. Even foods that are “ healthy” for you or your neighbor can be poisonous to me! The best success I’ve had with all of the different “ diets” for health reasons is the eat right for your blood type! Hands down I’ve had the best results. I will incorporate a few of Ideas in the book your using with the blood type diet and see where it gets me. I will never quit eating meat, fish and seafood, I just limit them. I believe a balanced diet doesn’t have Extremes! So I will never be fully raw, vegan, vegetarian, ftuitarian and such. I still have vital reds from a few years ago and I hate it! I do like Dr.Burge’s electrolyte powder drink. Lou Coronas Lemon Ginger Blast recipe and his kale shake.we have used that MCT oil for a few years now and I learned I can’t have anything coconut! The take away is Listen To Your Body and don’t go solely on what works for someone else. For instance I learned that two of my favorite vegetables give me grief (cauliflower and cabbage)

    Hi guys! I am very happy that diet has been working for you. I just purchased my books, and I am excited to try it. I was diagnosed with diabetes at age 17, and now I am 43. Still have my limbs ( thank God!), but I have been on dialysis for about 11 years. My goal for right now is that I just want to feel more energetic and possibly be able to move around. Unfortunately, I am doing it by myself. My boyfriend has a complicated schedule and internal clock. I am praying that this will have some positive influence on him. Did you read the book all the way through first, or did you dive right in with the cookbook? Just wondering what is the best approach for me. Thanks. Wish me luck!

    Thanks so much for doing this. I really needed help. I drifted into this diet and thought i was doing great but the tons of chick peas I was eating were not pressure cooked and I mixed those with canned lentils. My other go to were taco's yeah with Guac and then I found out about tomatoes, corn, OMG. I'm so sad to give up my gorgeous tomatoes off the vine in my yard and Chardonnay. My Favorite Wine. So I'm slowing heading into a commitment.to this way of eating. I am alone, depressed have little energy or enthusiasm and have severe plaque psoriasis. I have nowhere to go but up. I was widowed in 2008 and it kind of went down hill slowly for me since then. I really need somebodies in my life to check with and to hear and learn about this diet from folks like you who have gone thru it and speak so candidly about their experienced. I've searched everywhere for you and am so glad to have found you again. Of course I'm subscribing. I'm really a loner and alone and I so like the way you back and forth with one another and great laughter. thanks for hearing my rant and for doing such conscientious leg work for us beginners.

I can show show him that others are doing good on this diet and actually like it. We don't have any health issues but we want to keep our energy levels up and just to be healthy. I was wondering if you are taking any multivitamins as well? Vital Reds also include some of the vitamins and I was wondering if taking both might be too much. Other than that I'm going to go ahead and try it. I'm also very exited that Dr. Gundry is going to publish his cook book in January. Please continue your updates. Thanks!

    Go for it I've been at it since Feb 2017 . I have lost close to 70 lbs. I will weigh in tonight at work, but I know I'm close. I feel so much better , my knees don't hurt like they used to. I have drilled 4 holes in my leather belt , it now raps 1/2 way around me . I can't believe it used to fit. I have adopted the principles of the Plant paradox and re- read the book to keep it in my mind. I believe Dr. Gundry is on to something and he say's in the book his Job is to continually test his theory to try and prove himself wrong. When and if he does I think he will let us know.

    I have been on this about 2 months as well. I have been committed. Although I have not cheated I have eaten too much of a good thing a few times. I have an autoimmune disease called Seborrheic dermatitis of my face and scalp for 16 years and getting worse after 2 months on this It has pretty much gone away for the first time. My gut has hurt for 6 solid years and was diagnosed with Diverticulitis and I am less and less pain free for the first time in years, Heartburn and indigestion is gone too! Down about 15 pounds. This way of eating really works, my wife daughter and 3 friends are doing this as well and each has an amazing story. One friend has suffered for 10 years with RA and her pain is gone.I look forward to eating this way for life.

      Thank you for sharing your story! We hesitated uploading our daily videos because we weren't sure if other people would have similar results as us. So it is very nice to hear that so many other people have had their quality of life improve from this diet. We also look forward to eating this way for life and the longer we eat this way the easier it gets and the better we feel.

      Thank you for your response and thank you for doing these videos, they are encouraging! There are critics of Dr Gundry's plant paradox book, but I have not found one of them has read the book in context or tried it for themselves. I have become sick of MD's conventional approach. They have become prescribers and symptom managers. They seem to care less about the cause. This way of eating allows your body to be the healer it was intended to be. I look at the evidence in my life and the lives of others and I am like your wife she when she said she wanted to fully commit so she could say to herself in good conscience, if it worked or not. I am of the same thinking. We will keep tweaking it as we learn more and more, but excited to see where we all are a year from now one day at a time. Keep fighting the good fight you two, it will be worth it! By the way Dr. Gundry to me is not God and I don't really buy the evolution stuff or some of his views, but as far as the science behind it, the evidence speaks for itself. He only uses his evolution as an theoretical analogy anyway. What drew me in was my friend being out of pain after 10 years and his willingness to admit when he is wrong about something and change it. He also has done it himself and lost 70 lbs, pretty cool he can relate. His credentials are also impeccable. I don't think he is another Doc into self promotion, although he sells his supplements he also gives you an alternative for each one you can buy or get somewhere else. I liked that. I hope he doesn't get full of himself down the road. Sorry for such a long reply, just thought you would want to hear this perspective.
      God Bless you both!
      Bill :)

    I'm so glad I found you! I haven't bought the book yet, but I've been watching the Gundry youtube videos and trying to go as lectin free as possible. I'm looking forward to watching your vlog! ♥ I'll be sending this video to my husband so he's even more inspired to do this with me. We've both been taking the Bio Complete 3 together and we've both noticed a difference (him with his IBS and me with my psoriasis). I alone have just started to implement the vital reds. I can't say that it tastes good all by itself, but it's pretty good mixed with lemon water (I also have a miracle berry from Markus Rothkranz that makes anything with lemon taste super sweet)! ♥ It's okay to see the recipe videos from Dr Gundry, but I'm really looking forward to watching A MARRIED COUPLE with different opinions making DIFFERENT recipes. So excited to hear your thoughts. Although, I don't know HOW MUCH I can trust you if you think those vital reds taste good. lol I think you should bring in the son that's the picky eater. Maybe I'll trust his opinion more. lol 😜

    I agree completely. It does make Gundry sound greedy when I would order and he always tries to get you to order more! The diet worked for me too. I hate to call it a diet because this is not temporary I choose to eat like this the rest of my life. I lost 20 lbs in two months and another five lbs. over the last five months. I have been cheating a little these past few weeks as I do get bored with the food and just want a change. I take all of his supplements and powders. I feel like I am living at my optimum. Another complaint I have is when he is OUT OF STOCK for supplements he advertises. The wait time and the shipping time is LONG. You really have to order 3- 6 bottles at a time so you don't run out. Overall, I recommend this diet to people who are serious about losing weight and KEEPING IT OFF! I feel great and ALL of my clothes fit. I love it!!!! I never have acid reflux anymore!

    Glad to hear that the diet worked for you! I'm astounded by how much criticism Dr. Gundry receives when what he is doing is mostly helping people who are suffering from serious conditions. I think it's partly the way he presents his information, which is why I took it upon myself to create an animation that summarizes the content of his book in an easy to digest format. If anyone is interested, it's on my channel and I'd be grateful if you checked it out

    I bought the book and the cookbook. Bought some of the stuff and then went on vacation to Yellowstone. Not the best idea because of course I ate bad the whole time, even when trying to be careful. I have been suffering with this stuff for 12 years and have been diagnosed with Lyme disease (which I did one year of antibiotics so obviously my gut is really messed up) and fibromyalgia. I'm not into processed/sugary stuff. However, I do like my toast for breakfast and my glass .of wine mon the weekend.
    I'm semi-sticking to this diet and I like the knowledge of 'why' we're eating what is on this diet. I have 3 dogs so am out walking 3 times a day and I've been doing up my house and garden, so, am doing some pretty physical labour during the die. This is why I have gone back to having sourdough toast with salad and goat's cheese for breakfast and then I feel so saciated, I last till my late (I say late, before 5pm but am up at 4.30 am) meal, but, I do still have a glass or two of wine. The weight won't drop off in the same way, but, I'm doing it as I had a cancerous tumour removed last year, so, that is my reason. Well done you too!

    Hey there ... so enjoyed watching your video. Thinking of buying Dr. Gundry's book ... my husband has just been diagnosed with Lupus so I'm scouring the internet to look at food as medicine. My father-in-law had chronic crohn's disease and my mother-in-law tried a diet from an old book called 'The Gut Reaction'. Apparently it was like night and day once he started following this diet ... his symptoms were way less and he I don't think he needed to be on prednisone during that time! Just a thought! The information is great, and it works to reduce pain, but another thing I use is keeping a small potato in my back pocket until it gets hard as a rock. I know sounds weird, but my family has been doing it for 3 generations. It was passed down from a friend of my great uncle who lived in the Cascade mountains, and found great Uncle Sam confined to a wheel chair. In two weeks he could walk and comb his own hair again. However, it seems to not work for all people. I am not sure why, but he told me if after two weeks the potato rots instead of hardens, it may not work for you! My father sent several of his used up potatoes to the Mayo Clinic for study, and we never heard the results. My father on the other hand received dozens of letters from people praising him for sharing this "family cure" while he filled up their cars with gas at his service station. I hope this information finds more people and that it helps their pain! Thanks for reading, Jeff Estes

    Sounds like feeding the good bacteria with soluble fibers while starving the bad bacteria by restricting sugar is a large part of the diet. I just started today. I didn't have breakfast today but had sausage and eggs for lunch, but swapped the potatoes for white rice and had sourdough bread. Maybe it's the placebo effect but usually I'm tired after eating. But not today. I was energized. Too good to be true? We'll see tomorrow.

    I agree about your comment regarding Gundry's products he wants to sell. My immediate thought was that he left his profession because there was a lot more money to be made selling books and the supporting products by claiming the opposite view of most established mainstream nutrition. He had a lot more credibility in my mind when he wasn't trying to sell me something beyond the book. However, I believe your results and may actually try his diet. The guy got his undergraduate degree in 1972. He has to be 70 or so. He looks a lot younger than that. Maybe there's something to it. Hope it has continued to go well for you!

    Am very impressed with what you said about arthritis.....I came down with it about the last part of April caused by my pigging-out on a large bag of Hershey’s little chocolate candy bars. I figured since sugar obviously brought it on that if I stopped all sugar it would probably go away. Well it got so bad Ihad to get help getting out of bed. Right now it’s still so bad I have to use a wheeled walker in order keep all weight off my hips and lower back. It got a lot better, but I still can’t walk without my walker. I’ve been watching dr. Gundry’s videos for a couple months now and am very impressed with him and the list of over 800 human patients. I am 86 years old at present and about 22 years ago I spent 11 mos. on a vegan diet and have been dieting most of my life. I also have Ideopathic pulmonary fibrosis and heart problems (arrithmeia......had surgery for that in September) am taking a fist full of medication twice a day. Iong story made short, I think dr. GundryHas got the answer!!! Watched your video 3 times ......need help with shopping. If you could please email me any info on that subject. .....Thanks......Louis Brien

      It's true, high temp converts cis to trans. Not necessarily same as smoke point. Saturated fats are the most resistant to breakdown but even a nice crusty bbq steak will have trans fat. Also, unless you live Portland is or Seattle, restaurants use garbage oil and butter. Went to local place two days ago that used to be ok, New mgmt. Asked for real butter, they brought 60:40 margarine blend, and everything that would have been grilled nicely is now drenched in disgusting take hydrogenated to oil. Blech!

    I watched all your videos today, started the 3 day cleanse yesterday and like you said the green smoothie is revolting! The first day I felt really sick, had severe stomach cramps after the dinner...wonder if I have sensitivity for the cabbage. I have started this journey because my husband suffers from psoriasis, I don't have any issues that I am aware of except that I am overweight and hoping this lifestyle will help me loose all my excess weight. you both look great after the 8 weeks, even with a bit of cheating here and there. Hope we can be as strong as you. I like the fact that in the book he tells you what meals to have when, thats always my downfall..hoping it will be different this time around. Are you still on the PP? How do you both feel now? Would love to know.

    Glad the diet is helping. You really want to supplement with the 90 essential nutrients daily to cure & prevent illness and disease. Crohn's is caused by a mineral deficiency because our soil is mineral deficient.

    I've been following it for a few days and I'm a nutritionist who worked at same medical center as gundry.
    I've had a Autoimmune diagnosis since the late 80s and it's awful at times. I hadn't heard of this book until 2 weeks ago. I'm not changing much at all.

    What's also helps to reverse arthritis is to stay away from dairy and refines and processed foods. Most of those products are laden with Monsanto's glyphosate whice kills your bioflora in your gut. As an addition I've been using chlorine dioxide solution (CDS) which helps prevent inflammation and infections

    All true. I'm eating what I thought were fattening foods more than I would have ever thought possible and I've lost 20 pounds. Its a crazy diet. I sum it up for people by saying its a what not to eat diet and probably really an anti-GMO diet. Not only avoid GMO including the food fed to the animals you are consuming! Its expensive to eat this way, $5.99 a pound for true pasture-raised poultry from WholeFoods and you know its rare when WholeFoods almost never has it in stock! Try it!

    Thanks so much for sharing your story..:) I wish my kids would change their unhealthy eating habits..maybe one day they'll.. I always send them pictures of my recipes ha ha. . I read the book and Gundrys recipes amazing taste. I do not suffer from any autoimmune disease but would like to keep healthy without taking medications. If i can have at least a piece of sourdough with almond butter for breakfast everything will be just dandy.

      Right there with you on wishing our kids would eat better. They try more than we did at their age so hopefully one day they will eat healthy all the time and have an overall healthier life. 😁

    I have Fibromyalgia and joint disease (osteoarthritis) in my neck, shoulders, knees and lower back, and now my feet, have had one total knee replacement with the other knee now in much pain. Am anxious to begin the diet! My granddaughter suffers from Lyme disease .. I would hope a diet such as this would be beneficial... she has spent thousands of dollars on new treatments, none of which have helped. My husband passed away a year and a half ago with arthritis that crippled him and a weight problem, anemia, diabetes II, COPD, and a heart condition, a medical file 4 in thick... wish I had known about this much earlier, but knowing him, he probably would have fought the plan all the way, as he did with all the other help given him. Hopefully, there is a chance for me! My one daughter is only 45 and is bone on bone in her hip, walks with a walker, and been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia as well... Another son has has stomach issues for 20 years and relies on cannabis just to function, another son has diabetes II. Hoping I will have some relief and my children will see the benefits of your plan!

    I felt a huge difference in my brain after two weeks. I feel that I need to keep on track with this lifestyle nutrition and I am waiting for the most important improvement to appear. Effort resistance is something that I had problems with since I stopped doing professional sport at 16 years old. I especially feel funny when running and I hope that this will go away so I can run more. Regards and keep going guys

    I don't think what the critics understand is he's not necessarily saying that beans or pumpkin seeds are unhealthy but rather they contain proteins that is actually poisonous to most humans on a small scale.... so it's not that the seats don't contain certain healthy things but consuming them you have to go through a layer of something that's not great for you

    I love that you guys are sharing this. Just wanted to throw this out there, Mrs., you are so beautiful and I see the color in your skin tone on your neck and just from a make up perspective, I am recommending a darker foundation for your make up on your face because whatever you are using is ghosting you and you are so beautiful! Just a make up tip!

      Same thought again! Beautiful lady with an equally beautiful countenance. I would prefer a much lighter lipstick to frame that gorgeous smile. The dark lipstick is so harsh.

    Great job guys, but you're not out of the woods on your lectin avoidance guidelines. Costco does not offer organic grass fed and finished pastured meats or eggs-they are soy and corn fed meats and eggs. So your gut is still getting blasted by lectins but you've just greatly reduced the lectin hit so far. The Pesto contains sunflower seeds and bad fats-I think Gundry must have bought one with traditional pine nuts but they aren't carrying this anymore. You live in an area where you should be growing your own fresh basil year round in pots or in a garden so make it yourself and it will taste better and be the most healthy for you. Once you are truly and completely detoxed from bad lectins you will react very badly to the wrong chicken, meats and eggs. You probably need to do some research on local farmers and family homesteads where you might be able to source your meat/eggs-just be sure of what they're fed. I have been on the diet since the week the book released and have read it through numerous times, sifting through each thing we eat to ensure I didn't miss anything and made refinements to our diet as I went. Keep going!

      I just started this and the fat intake is what I’ve noticed the most. I have my own garden which is very helpful. I’ll be going to the farmers market to get the pastured chicken and eggs. Luckily I love avocados. Not sure about all the fish. I’d love to find a clean freshwater source of fish.

    Hello, I have been on at least four schedules of antibiotics over the period of the last two years. Is there a probiotic that Dr. Gundry recommends overall that would be beneficial to me to get started with? Many thanks

  • @yofignat
    @yofignat 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Question for you--what probiotics do you like? Are they freeze-dried, or microencapsulated, or refrigerated, or in another form? Thank you! Good information for those who are trying to read the book and process these other ways of thinking about food and nutrition.

      The probiotic we are taking now is one we order from Amazon called Hyperbiotics PRO-15. We have tried various other types and brands of probiotic over the years and this one seems to work just as well as, if not better than, the others we have tried. Thank you for the feedback! We are happy you find the videos helpful!

    If the fish oil bothers you possibly try a good organic gmo free Flax seed oil, it's amazing and no funny after taste
