My children are grown (21.5 and 19.5) and I was a stay-at-home / work-from-home their whole lives. We also homeschooled. There has been no greater joy in my life - ever - than being a wife to my husband and mother to our boys. It WAS hard. It IS a great responsibility. But is was and is my purpose and love. ❤ You’re doing great, Mama!

Look at you go "i could easily add pockets to it". Yes you could, because like with cooking, you are repeating cooking and sewing and trying new things but also in doing so understanding the fundamentals of both and so being able to tweak or not look at the instructions for every step.
    That is real growth.
    Well done.

I’m a mom of six children (four boys and two girls) Two sets of twins and two single births. They are all grown and on their own now. I would go back to when they were all small children in a heartbeat. I never thought motherhood was hard; I loved every minute of it. I miss those days so much. The best years of my life! God bless you!

Andrea, I have5 sons, ages 42-48. I love the Godly responsible men they have become. Definitely things are hard throughout motherhood, but if I could go back and do it again I mostly surely would. What a joy they brought from birth and still today they bring. I thank God for that. Love your videos😊

The other aspect to the motherhood discussion is people saying "Enjoy them now, the next stage is horrid". Whether it's terrible twos, tweens, teenagers, or young adults, people like to tell you their horror stories. I am a baby/toddler person but I have to say that each stage was better than the last. It was easy for me to find joy in life. You are going to love mothering through the years.

Thank-you for sharing about the joy of motherhood! The same thing happened to me when I was pregnant too and in the first year of motherhood. I heard and read soooo many negative comments, especially on social media about having kids. Women who were feeling overwhelmed would vent on social media, possibly as a means of 'asking' or saying that they needed help from friends and family or possibly they felt that as a mom they didn't receive recognition for their important and difficult role. But, in any case, as a soon to be mom and then as a new mom, it left me feeling so sad that this was the script being put out there about what being a mom is like.

Oh I love your new old stove! I love your fridge too! They are so nostalgic to me. I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s. Everyone had those color of appliances. My mom’s living room colors were avocado green and blue. I really love that you’re making use of those old appliances. I’m sure they are better made than the ones these days if you can find the parts when you need them. My neighbor that was in her 90’s had the same stove that they had bought when they built their house in 1964. It finally came to the point that she was going to have to get a new one because the repairman couldn’t find the part she needed. She was so close to ordering a new one when her granddaughter found the part on EBay!

Most people aren't positive because they don't have religion. You are very organized you have a beautiful family. I was a teacher for 28 years and I took 6 years off when I had my twin daughters. I enjoyed being with them I cherished the moments. That I was teacher didn't mean that I wasn't a mom or that I didn't do housework I did that's where organization comes in. I had some people tell me it wasn't fair. That's life but we try and make it as best as we can. Stay Positive! I enjoy being here because you are real, positive and loving person.

wow that is judgmental, one of the many reasons why I stay away from religion!! I've been a stay-at-home mom and wife for 18 years this month. I love my life, and wouldn't want to be doing anything else but this. Religion has nothing to do with being positive or not. I know some religious people who are all about gloom and doom and complain about everything, other religious people I know are sweet and loving.

I love the green dress.. green is my fav color💚 I think the baby doll style looks so cute on you too😊 The oven Is so cool! My sister had the avocado green stove & fridge in her first home, but it wasn't the double oven, just a regular one. My grandma had the brown appliances & my mom just had the brown side by side fridge. Oh I love shrimp, one of my fav foods!🍤 I'll eat it about any way you cook it!😋 Being a mom is definitely a blessing! Sure we lose sleep, there's difficult times, they don't come with instructions or remotes. But they are most definitely Gods greatest gift, each one perfect. I've never understood why some ladies feel the need to scare other new moms to be 🤷‍♀️ I mean maybe they don't feel like they were cut out to be a mom, but they shouldn't say things to others to scare them or deter them, its sad & its just wrong!😔Its obvious your a good mom & love being a mom! And I know you see her as your greatest blessing!😊

Our flesh hates anything hard. And having kids is hard! Typically that’s why the more selfishness is allowed in our society the less children people have. Doesn’t mean God’s going to give us all many children or any children bc His ways are higher than ours. ultimately it IS hard to have kids. It requires continuous crucifixion of our flesh to think about the other more than ourselves. BUT obedience in the steps God calls us to richly rewarding no matter how hard! The hard is what gives us a need to cry out to Him continually for help. That’s what He longs for: us to be daily dependent on Him-ask for His strength, His help, His companionship through His daily presence in the mundane ❤ Therefore while motherhood is the hardest thing we will ever do (or longing for motherhood and not receiving it and thus having to wrestle through painful places and serve in the capacity God has called those dear hearts to follow Him) it’s also the most rewarding as we raise our little disciples in His Steps.

My two greatest achievements are my children..who are adults now with children. Love the dress, the food and your “new” oven!! The bouquets are beautiful too!

I love your new stove! Those older ones make putting a meal on so much easier! It looks great in your kitchen too.

Hi I'm new here, love your content. Do you have a link or the dimension of your cutting table in your sewing room and what cutting board is on top? I'm on the hunt for one

It has been over 100° here in the Salt Lake Valley for the past 3 days. It definitely does NOT feel like Fall. I wish we could just enjoy each season instead of being constantly rushed into the next one. 😵‍💫
