Praying that I can find a IRL mom friend like you who actually enjoys the process of homemaking and parenting ❤ thank you for bringing up our society and how negatively everyone views it all. I heard every comment in the book when I was pregnant and now with my 2 under 2 and I think everyone thinks I’m lying to them when I’m actually really enjoying staying home with them, being a mom, and all that comes with it! Keep spreading the positivity you are a light 💡
I loved being home with my kids even though it was short lived. I remember after I had my second child and I kept the house in order and cooked from scratch, unfortunately my husband wasn’t supportive and didn’t see what I did all day, he would even feel the top of the tv to see how warm it was and assumed I sat and watched tv all day! 🙄
@@OursweetsunnydaysI’m a 2 year SAHM of boys aged 5 and 9. We’ve miscarried twice and been TTC for over 2 years. It’s so sad the comments we receive, even from close family, about our desire for more. I see it as a sad reflection of their own views of their children, one of which I’m married to ❤ also 2 kids are easier in some ways because they play together!
With toddlers, I had to stop sewing for a season. Toddlers napping was my nap time too. I am enjoying your channel, watching your journey. I’m in my mid 60’s now.
I totally agree with you about getting more done when you have less time. I think it makes you realize the value of your time more. Happy first birthday to your sweet girl and her cousin! 🎉 My baby is 7 months and it’s going by WAY too fast. Thanks for your perspective on motherhood and how much fun it is! I couldn’t agree more! 🥰
Thank you for your quiet realizations of motherhood and season of life. Even your garden is walking in that light. I appreciate you. Thank you again. 💚💚💚
This is my second video of yours that I've watched. I really love how soothing and calming you and your videos are. Very sweet and enjoyable. Thank you for making this lovely content and sharing your energy out into the world. It is very much needed. 💖
My boyfriend and I usually do a garden every year. He will plow the patch and then put miracle grow or a soil that is rich with good nutrients into the dirt. We also do vegetables, flowers, and herbs side by side so they have cross-pollination. It helps keep all the bad insects out. Fresh coffee grounds will keep the squirrels away.
As always another great post from a young woman with an old soul. You are so inspiring to others. I admire your spunk and courage to try new things. I also love how you cherish vintage, like your fridge. Well done…again 😋
I turned on your video and had to look again because I KNEW I saw your picture when I started the video but I heard your sisters’ voices when you spoke! I said to myself, wait is that Lisa? Was that Laura? 🤦🏾♀️❤️ I love your videos. I’m an older mom of 8, but 5 are with Jesus (lost in middle to late pregnancies). I’m thankful to have raised three beautiful children. We now have two granddaughters. It is refreshing to see someone who is just beginning her wife and mother journey. I have to encourage you: you are doing well. When we old fogies look back at our lives and see how much we have worked and how little we were in the home taking care of our families and homes, it actually fills my heart to see more moms at home. 🙏🏾❤️
Staying at home to raise your children and create a warm, healthy, happy home is so important. We did without alot of extra "things" because I stayed home but it was a great blessing and we don't regret it at all. It was such a blessing!!
Even though I never had children, I love my home and making it comfy, my sanctuary. I think your message is a life long learning in the keeping of the home, balancing life
Beautiful food! My peace is my flowers 26 years here at our Home did you know the zinnias if they get big and beautiful when they die back pull up whole plant let them dry then carry them were you want shake them out they come back I was so surprised back in the day I dropped some on my backyard walkway oh my they have took it over and I originally started them 4 years ago with 3 packs of seeds lol just a tip those cookies oh my beautiful!❤😊
I have been a homemaker for 42 years. My four children are grown and have children of their own raging from two months to 18 years old. I have never grown tired of being a homemaker and I am always learning new things ❤
I will definitely give your burger recipe a go and the kimchi bacon jam sounded delicious! You’re so right about homemaking skills! And no, I’m still learning new ways that work better, always room for improvement! Also, I’m 65 now, and what worked for me years ago, definitely don’t work for me and my family now! As for my gardens, they seem to be doing alright at the moment, my pumkins are turning orange, and my corn, looks like something from the day of the triffids!
Would you mind sharing at what temp and how long you bake your burgers? And also how you do your fries? Do you soak your potato strips before frying? What kind of oil? And do I store oil in fridge to use again? Thank you for your videos! I enjoy them!
Just a suggestion, press your fabrics really well before cutting out patterns to get super accurate measurements. Also prewash all fabrics as you bring them into your sewing studio to prevent disappointment later after finishing your project and realizing shrinkage was more than usual. Beautiful work, beautiful Mom and wife!
You said it right ! I totally understand you with keeping busy ! I’ve always heard if you want something done ask a busy person. I’d rather have too much to do then not enough! From a sixty year old empty nester.
I LOVE that you use korean ingredients! My husband and children are korean, so it's the norm for us. I can also recommend using the gochujang, brown sugar and ketchup for a meatloaf glaze! I recently thought it up, and it's been incredibly delicious 😋
I’m so excited to watch you stitch for your daughters birthday, I thought it would be getting close and I was hoping you would do some thing on here for that! So sweet💚🎀💚
Thanks for bringing up the fact that society doesn’t put the value in being a homemaker and how it can be a joyful experience! I think that is something I need to remember more often!! That it is a joy to be a stay at home mom amidst all the chaos and craziness of everyday life. There is a real fulfillment not found elsewhere. And it’s ok to embrace that and soak in this season of life!
Apparently zinnias don't like being transplanted and will do much better of directly sown a couple weeks after last frost. You can then do a couple successions from there. The ones I directly sowed this year did much better than those I transplanted.
Living in rural Missouri must be so much cheaper for you. It is really worth moving to area that allows a stay at home mother, if there are jobs for husband. I got to stay home until my girls were in school. Just the stress of getting them up and fed and dressed before school, and myself to work was a lot. The cost of daycare really makes working for a many women out of the question. You keep a nice home. Take the time to teach your children how to also take care of it.
Maybe it's not as hot where you live but I avoid using the oven as much as possible during the summer. Doesn't your kitchen get unbearably hot? I enjoy homemaking and love being a mother but working in a super hot kitchen all covered in sweat when the rest of the family is in the air conditioned living room makes me crabby!! I don't even like to boil things too much for the same reason.
Hi, I don't know if this is going to sound strange, I was wondering about your sandals. I saw your feet in what looked like brown leather sandals with two straps across them. Are they leather? Where did you find them? Thank you. Hope this isn't weird. They look comfy. Thank you Karyann

I absolutely love your pantry! I watch both of your sisters on you tube…as others have said you are a mix of both of them with a flare of color!
Haha thanks!
Who else wants the chocolate chip cookie recipe? Those looked AMAZING!
Yes, please! 😊
I just follow the nestle toll house recipe, but melt the butter and add extra flour! :)

I heard that too! These were direct seeded and still didn't do well - our birds are hard on zinnia seeds hah!

Not weird! Yes they are leather. They are Dr. Martens - the Josef sandal!
I like the potato gadget!❤
It's a good one!
Funny how you pronounce zinnia as “zeen-ya” down here in south Louisiana we say it as “zinn-nee-ah”
Funny I never heard of this zinn nee ah . I love hearing southern accents .
Ooo interesting!
