I love that fridge! It’s too bad they don’t make them like that today with spinning shelves and shelves that turn out! It would be so much easier to keep clean!
your sister Lisa mentioned your channel and since I also watch Laura had to check it out. Very happy to have another sister join utube…love your kitchen!
I just found your channel yesterday, and I want to tell you that it is so nice to see a young homemaker that is not identical to everybody else. Your home and your channel are so unique! I look forward to more videos🫶
We had the exact same refrigerator when we moved into our house when I was 5:years old in 1959.;it was pink and I think a little bigger than yours . It finally died in the late 1990’s. Best fridge ever!
Love the inner workings of your refrigerator, they just don’t make them tough like that anymore! I’m excited to see meal ideas for two , almost empty nester here .
My favorite thing about getting beef from a farmer is all the steak!!! When I was pregnant with my twins I threw up everyday for the first half, and the second half I was so hungry all the time 😅 my husband and I would be grilling steaks at 10 PM- living our best life. Steak is by far my favorite food!!! One thing I started doing was setting out my steak and putting olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder on them and letting them sit out for 1 hour to come to room temperature. It really makes such a big difference!! Such tender meat.. ok, going to go grill myself a steak now that my mouth is watering 😂😂😂
Appliances came in three colors in the 70’s, white, harvest gold and avocado. Oh, I see you also have the Corelle butterfly gold dishes! Also, the harvest gold shade. Now if you had a set of canisters in the shape of mushrooms your look would be complete.
My kitchen is two shades of green on the bottom cabinets. One of those is similar to yours! My opted for white uppers. I find people either love it or are silent on their thoughts-lucky for me! I tied with all together with green gingham wallpaper from the place your sister Lisa suggested in one of her videos. When we were young married like you we enjoyed a few easy recipes like chicken and biscuits with honey, chili beans and rice with toppings, or homemade pizzas with salsa as the sauce and black beans as the main topping.
Your fridge is so awesome I wished I had one of those. lol my husband and I can’t eat cilantro either as we think it tastes like soap as well, I don’t know why it’s just an acquired taste. I’m sorry you had a stomach bug, glad you both felt better
Thank you! You are the only person to ever confirm that for me. A lot of people have said it's harvest gold, but from what I have gathered that color didn't come out until after this fridge was made! Thanks for confirming! :)
My daughter would go crazy for your home! She loves mid-century… the fridge is awesome! Thank you for sharing your home. I watch both your sisters and I am always amazed how much they do! You are so blessed to have such a wonderful family. Many blessings on your new channel. Looking forward to your videos. ❤
that's what we have been told, but i think harvest gold is a bit darker? it is certainly more readily available though! i have trouble finding appliances in my color.
I would be very interested in how you process your potatoes for freezing. Do you have to blanch them? I can't believe how well thought out that refrigerator is. I love it! I love watching other people cook and the ideas they have. I seem to gain a little knowledge or tip each time. I am at the empty nest stage and you're just beginning but that means we're both feeding 2 adults so I really love watching you cook. I accidentally bought corn tortillas and to tell you the truth, I don't know what to do with them. I thought about just throwing them out but I may rethink that.
I was so excited to see a video of all the meals you made!!!!!!!! Definitely take down notes for meals. I'm feeling in a meal rut and need new ideas!!! Love hearing your young child "voice" in the video. Please keep that in vidoes from time to time. 🧡
When it comes to guacamole, I like to make a good-sized batch of pico de gallo and whenever I want guac I just cut a fresh avocado there on the spot and add a couple spoonfuls of the Pico and voila!
TH-cam recommend your channel to me and as soon as you started talking I KNEW you had to be related to Lisa - your voices are so similar! The other comments confirmed it! I’m so glad I found you!
Hi. I started following you by seeing the podcast with your sister. Love your family. As I am from Belgium I notice you are making fries on a regular basis. As Belgian fries are the best (and I am not saying it because I am from Belgium) but mostly because it is true although they call them French fries. The secret is in the way you cook them. Normally you fry them in one kind of grease for the first time on a lower temperature (120 /140 Celsius for a short time in another foil. That is for fancy restaurants. At home we use the same sunflower oil two times. You let them rest and afterwords you fry them a second time on 170 C till they are golden and crispy. You have to rinse the cut potatoes in water to become crispy fries before the first baking and to prevent them from cluttering together. We eat them with mayonaise, preferable home made. Couldn’t help to bring one of our national recepties under your attention. Succes, you are doing a great job!❤
Hello. I am new to your channel. Not sure if it found me; or I found it. Haha. Oh My I absolutely love your kitchen. Your vintage frig.... I am in love with it. All of your food looked so delicious. I have always wanted a pizza oven; and your pizzas looked really good.
Hello, as I’m reading the comments, I realize you are sister to Laura from our oily house and Lisa from Farmhouse on Boone! As I watched your video I was thinking…oh she looks like Laura from our oily house! How funny. So nice to see you have a channel as well. I watch both your Sisters channels but somehow never heard about yours or just forgot. Glad to watch your videos too now. ❤️
I sub Lisa and Laura's channels and love them. I'm so glad to have found yours as well. Love that fridge!!!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. God bless!
New to this channel. THANK YOU. Finally a person/family that cooks and eats regular food. Between keto, vegan, carnivore, low carb, plant based, etc. etc. etc. it is so refreshing to see you cook and eat wonderful foods. ☺
Thank you for all these meal ideas! I feel like my husband would be a big fan of the hot honey chicken. Also, getting beef in bulk is the best. My parents have done that for years, and they always have way more than they need, so they share with us. We had some great flank steak last night!
I'd love to have a frig like yours! In 1961, I was in the first grade! I will be 70 in June! I loved the outfits you wore every day! Being comfortable! All the food you fixed looked very delicious! I like veggie pizza, very thin crust! Have a great week! 🌞🦋🍕
A wonderful pizza dough recipe is by Zoe Francois. It is not sourdough but you make the dough and it lasts in refrigerator for two weeks. The coaster to the two weeks the more sour the dough taste. I use this recipe for making bread , rolls, and pizza crust. I must try.
You popped up in my suggestions and thought to myself, that's got to be Lisa and Laura's sister....then you started talking 😂 I said YEP! Glad to meet you, I'm from West TN. ❤Kacy
I'm surprised you don't use your Instant Pot for cooking rice!!! Kind of a new subscriber, but I've been watching, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you have such a colorful, bright home!!!
Hi!!! New watcher here! I knew id love your channel when I saw you also have a Breville espresso machine! You should look into a rubber Tamping pad that hangs off the edge of the counter, it's a life changer for tamping!!! Breville also makes a box that you can hit the grounds on and it's so easy to keep the grinds until you toss them! :)
Found your channel when you did a podcast with your sisters..I have enjoyed binge watching. Are you the sister that got married on Lisa’s farm? I love your kitchen. It wouldn’t be for me but I love what you did and how you decorated it.
I found her today!!! I listened to the podcast as well watched the TH-cam video. Today her channel popped up on my feed 🎉 It’s just my husband and me now, so I look forward to watching cooking for 2 videos!!! ❤
Loved this video, I am a new subscriber and I have been binge watching your videos 😊 Thanks for sharing! Absolutely love your use of color in your home 🏡
Ohhh yessss.. my favorite fridge😊 The steaks look so good! All the did looks so yummy.😋 I love pineapple on pizza, we just had on one the weekend with pineapple, onions and ham.. so good! Thanks for sharing!
New sub here. I love that you're a meat and potatoes family, a lot on TH-cam aren't. I see comments on your sister's? Who are they. I'm going to binge watch your vids today!
Absolutely love your kitchen I’m born in 1950 so I’m really appreciating it. Refrigerators awesome I noticed in your cooking you’re not eating vegetables, eat some veggies. It’s good fiber for you and vitamins and minerals.

Love your channel, I subscribed! I thought you look so much like Lisa and Laura then I realized they’re your sisters! You even sound similar to Laura! ❤
They should never have stopped the refrigerator that you have it's the best one I've ever seen.
I agree!!
Companies are always stuck on new and improved, how about old and perfect?!
Your fridge makes more sense than the ones out there now!!! So practical ❤
I agree!!
I love that fridge! It’s too bad they don’t make them like that today with spinning shelves and shelves that turn out! It would be so much easier to keep clean!
couldn't agree more!
Would be perfect for me with lupus@@Oursweetsunnydays
your sister Lisa mentioned your channel and since I also watch Laura had to check it out. Very happy to have another sister join utube…love your kitchen!

I just found your channel yesterday, and I want to tell you that it is so nice to see a young homemaker that is not identical to everybody else. Your home and your channel are so unique! I look forward to more videos🫶
Thank you so much! :)
Excellent, calming narration and soft music, great choices. I so enjoy your channel.
Thank you very much!
We had the exact same refrigerator when we moved into our house when I was 5:years old in 1959.;it was pink and I think a little bigger than yours . It finally died in the late 1990’s. Best fridge ever!
That's amazing! These days you're lucky if you can get 10 years out of a refrigerator. Things aren't made to last anymore.
They don't make em like this anymore!!
Love the inner workings of your refrigerator, they just don’t make them tough like that anymore! I’m excited to see meal ideas for two , almost empty nester here .
they really don't!
Lisa mentioned your channel. I watch both Lisa and Laura so now i know about you too. I can't believe how much you and Laura look alike.
Definitely a family resemblance.
Haha we get that a lot!
I too love mid century style. I think your style is awesome. That lamp and the fridge are to die for, great score 🌷🇨🇦
My favorite thing about getting beef from a farmer is all the steak!!! Brand new here from your sisters videos you look so much like Lara and you have calming voice.
Haha thanks!

I'll keep my eyes out at the thrift store!
Stew meat comes from chuck roast. So it is chuck roast cut up. 😊
I hate they can charge so much more for that cut but understand the butcher does the extra work.
had no idea - thanks!!
When chuck roast go on sale, I cut one up for stew meat. My Mom taught me this.
Your fridge is so efficient ❤ very neat, and old fashioned
Thanks so much! 😊
Love your kitchen, so bright and cheery and so nice to see a kitchen that isn’t the generic white cabinets thing that is so popular and so boring.
I so wish you would give a tour of your kitchen. Especially your amazing refrigerator 😮. I’m totally obsessed. Love it 😍
Maybe one day!
Wow! That is definitely a bright kitchen :))) so bold.
You have such a calm, relaxing voice. Great content too!
Thank you!

i've never met someone with similar cabinets as me - how fun! love the gingham wallpaper idea... i can picture it now! :)
Those 1950s, 60s,s and even 70s refrigerators were quite impressive. I also love the lime green color scheme that you use in your kitchen.
i sure love them! :) i can never go back to a modern fridge now!
Ok, you just made me jump. I heard you talk and you sound just like your sister. Now I’m happy to say I follow all 3 of you. Love it.😊
Your fridge is so awesome I wished I had one of those. lol my husband and I can’t eat cilantro either as we think it tastes like soap as well, I don’t know why it’s just an acquired taste. I’m sorry you had a stomach bug, glad you both felt better
Thank you :)
I love your fridge. I also wish they still made them like that. Awesome design. Yes I'm old it was called canary yellow.
Thank you so much!
Harvest Gold was also about that color in the 60's-70s.
Yeah, I had a gold automatic top loader washing machine. Loved it!
that's what we have been told, but i think harvest gold is a bit darker? it is certainly more readily available though! i have trouble finding appliances in my color.
that's awesome!
@@OursweetsunnydaysYes, harvest gold is darker… it’s the color on your Corelle dishes, same as we had in the 70s!
Pizza looked amazing! You’re doing great!👍🏼
Thank you 😋

I don't blanch them, but I am sure you technically should lol. Corn tortillas are my fave - i just put some butter in the skillet and heat them up! :)
I love your frige things would not get lost in the back and used up. Just found your channel through you sisters.
Awesome! Thank you!
I was so excited to see a video of all the meals you made!!!!!!!! Definitely take down notes for meals. I'm feeling in a meal rut and need new ideas!!!
Love hearing your young child "voice" in the video. Please keep that in vidoes from time to time. 🧡
meal ruts are never fun!!

I love watching you and your sisters. Yall motivate me so much. Your neighbor in West TN!!
thank you! :)
Love your refrigerator! My oven is harvest gold. Still working like a charm!
Love the Refrigerator!!
I think the color of your fridge is harvest gold, a common color for appliances in the 60s and 70s. Too bad it's not manufactured anymore !
That fridge is like Hermione's hand bag. I'm obsessed with it! May you be able to fix it forever and ever!
LOVE THE FRIDGE...My Birth year "61. STTB
Haha nice!

A tip for a teething baby: while you’re cooking, give the baby a piece of a pineapple core. Nice and hard and full of flavor.
I sub Lisa and Laura's channels and love them. I'm so glad to have found yours as well. Love that fridge!!!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. God bless!

My folks had a bronze colored refrigerator from the late 60's- early 70's!

I love your refrigerator do so wish it was still manufactured a really well thought out design internally with everything moving shelves drawers etc
I wish it was too!
Thank you for all these meal ideas! I feel like my husband would be a big fan of the hot honey chicken.
Also, getting beef in bulk is the best. My parents have done that for years, and they always have way more than they need, so they share with us. We had some great flank steak last night!

Your refrigerator is fascinating to me!! The meals looked just delicious!!!

I’m going to have to try some of these recipes. The pizza looks really good

I found cooking ground beef with chopped onions and seasoning with salt and Generous pepper, it just brings a great taste to tacos.
Great idea!

its an old working one!
Team pineapple pizza for the win! 🍍
New sub here. I love that you're a meat and potatoes family, a lot on TH-cam aren't. I see comments on your sister's? Who are they. I'm going to binge watch your vids today!
Farmhouse on Boone and Our Oily House :)
You whip up those coffees like a barista! They look yummy!
haha thanks!
Great video!
Thanks!
Absolutely love your kitchen I’m born in 1950 so I’m really appreciating it. Refrigerators awesome I noticed in your cooking you’re not eating vegetables, eat some veggies. It’s good fiber for you and vitamins and minerals.
I was really interested in the Mongolian beef recipe, but I don't see the recipe listed below and you didn't give specifications on the ingredient amounts
Hi from NC
Cant wait for you to get a vintage stove!!😊 also what brand are your measuring cups
The stainless ones are crate and barrel :)
Everything you cooked looked delicious.
Try adding your Dairy free sour cream in your scrambled eggs it makes it creamy when you cook your eggs
ooo never thought of that!
Really enjoy your videos, also enjoy both your sisters videos as well. What is that tall silver canister type thing next to your sink? Also what type of coffee machine is that?
Thank you 😊
For the tall silver canister I think it’s a berkey water filter- her sister Lisa uses that and had several videos about it on her channel called farmhouse on Boone. Idk about the coffee machine lol 🤷🏻♀️
yep - a berkey! coffee machine is a breville barista express!
If that fridge is from the 70’s it’s probably harvest gold. A blast from my past as a child!
It's from 1961! From what I've gathered it is before harvest gold was a color?! I'm not positive about that haha.
Love your channel, I subscribed! I thought you look so much like Lisa and Laura then I realized they’re your sisters! You even sound similar to Laura! ❤
Haha yep!
