Patrick Warburton is a lot funnier than Old Man Shadowy-Typewriter. I like how we see him always with the characters but he never interacts with them. And, yeah, he really *does* just pop out of nowhere, which I find hilarious.

You could see how he stuck up for the Baudelaires against Count Olaf, but as soon as he accidentally spoiled where they were, his attitude changed and he became skittish.
This was actually a reference to the fifth book. Lemony (the writer) mentioned dressing up as bullfighter for one of the Duchess of Winnipeg’s masked balls and he was being pursued by enemies. He ran over to Beatrice and shouted “Beatrice, Count Olaf is…!” In the book, he broke off the story, because he said it made him cry thinking about it.
