Surge with Kilowattrel is a must, well put. I love how Venomoth is now just Janine's, it truly gives her a sense of identity. And now that she's the one sporting Forretress it gives a Poison Type outline like her dad's Gliscor. Dropping the DP insert song once the Elite 4 are discussed was a nice touch. LOL, that Agatha shade with Flutter Mane.
My biggest thoughts on the Janine team is that while it is supposed to give off the idea that she’s trying to surpass her dad in every way, 3 of her 6 pokemon are on her dad’s elite four team. Basically saying that Janine’s absolute hardest is her dad’s 9-5 after a promotion. It just doesn’t sit right with me.
I would highly recommend Politoed over probably Lapras. Not only is it iconic with Misty but also with drizzle, it can set up rain for her swift swim mons, really adding to that all out offensive with water types theme
I really like the thought put into these teams, but I do have to make the point that Lance breaks your rule of no legendaries. Yes, they're Paradox Pokémon, but they are still registered as legendary Pokémon
As someone very attached to the games’ human characters, I very much enjoy this video that goes deep into what the games establish for them. Including Paradox Pokémon feels odd to me as they’re so tied to the events of Paldea. But at the same time, you only gave them to three people here, the strongest Gym Leader and E4 members, so I’d say it’s passable. Plus with this being a theoretical “what if they can access everything there exists” people like Agatha and Lance could definitely go down to Area Zero without much issue.
I think Agatha’s team could be the source of arguments between her and Oak or maybe even her way of spiting his choice in life, like Gourgeist, Mimikyu and Flutter Mane. These dangerous specters with unexplored mysteries. Most of all Annihilape, who revived itself through sheer anger. All these unanswered conundrums, but she couldn’t care less. All she’s worried about is taming them and bringing out their power.
Know other two things good about Surge having both Alolan Golem and Galvantula? Since he was stated to be an American soldier, and is even hinted the chance he might be Unovan, it makes a lot of sense for him to have Pokémon from America inspired regions
Plus blood moon ursaluna is one of a kind is it not? I could see a world where he threatened or paid off the trainer of ScarVi to obtain it. But idk if the timeline adds up there for him to still be evil enough to do that by the time the games take place
@@AshleyoftheSwiftspear-pb8cs It depends on the continuity because if we were following the games then Giovanni is most likely still evil but in hiding. However if you want to go the manga route, then he is mostly likely at least neutral but will still do the same method you mention.
I once had the idea of Misty having a Dewgong as a reference to her admiration for Lorelei. Not really the hard hitting type, but the fact it’s been mistaken for a mermaid I feel was a neat tie in to Misty’s title as the Tomboy Mermaid.
I know people like to give Brock a Steelix because it's fully evolved and Onix is weak, but Brock is a Rock-type trainer and Steelix loses that Rock typing. For better or worse, I feel like it's more appropriate for Brock to have an Onix. It keeps him from intruding on Jasmine's ace, too.
Sabrina’s a fascinating case as she’s almost oxymoronic. She’s both a prodigious psychic and a pacifist, preferring to only battle when it’s necessary. But I can’t blame you for not including that as it seems hard to incorporate into a battling style. Best would be a swift hard hitting team that gets the fight done with as soon as possible. Delphox and Galarian Slowking could also work as references to her work as Bellelba in PokéStar Studios.
if your going to do the Johto Gym leaders and elite four next I would suggest giving Jasmine a Mawile, Tinkleton, and Klefki because these three are cute Steel type Pokemon
I think blood moon ursaluna should be replaced with Persian since there’s only one Bloodmoon Ursaluna so if he has it then no one else can have it in that universe and Persian is iconic for him
Or there can just be more Bloodmoon Ursaluna, kind of like legendaries: rare but not actually one of a kind. I think this is the most likely outcome in general because Gamefreak is definitely going to put it in other games instead of forcing player to transfer their 1 (2 if you bought both Scarlet and Violet and both's DLC... so yeah, 1) Bloodmoon Ursaluna over and over across games.
