The first time I heard you say that the instrument you are actually learning to play is yourself, I realized your advice applies to far more than just music. Your words of wisdom have much deeper meanings. Thank you.

A "practice performance" - going straight through w/o stopping, as if you were performing would work, as well. Then you can identify where you need to go back and brush up or improve...

Great idea to at least jot down your notes after a performance or playing for a group. A short pen is always better than a long memory, imo. Thanks always!

Good tips, as usual. I'm also happy to see that you got rid of the "alien eyes" your ring light gave you in previous videos. You could further improve this by repositioning the "I'm gonna tell you a ghost story" light source that is now shining up on you from below ;-)

Thanks, Johannes. I'm experimenting with various different things at the moment. Ultimately, though, I'm looking for something that's really easy to set up. The details of video making are not where my interests lie so I want to get something that works well enough and then just concentrate on the content...

I am not in any way a serious musician, but I'd like to be a better one. With that disclaimer out the way - Do you think you might get any comparable benefits from recording yourself and listening back?

For sure! Recording yourself is a massively valuable thing to do. I recommend it to people all the time.
