- Gideon Falter, the campaigner at the centre of controversy surrounding a pro-Palestinian protest in London, says any Jewish person should be able to "go for a walk in the vicinity of marches".
He spoke to Sky's Kay Burley after footage showed a police officer preventing him from crossing a road near the march because he was "openly Jewish".
Ben Jamal, director of the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, says Mr Falter came to the march "with an entourage and film crew" to deliberately provoke a reaction, and say that he was unsafe.

Our street are not the private property of the protesters, he has every right to walk in a public street without being cautioned by the police.

I’ve been on some of the London marches, I am not a religious person, just wish everyone could be peaceful. I noticed quite a few Jewish people walking very peacefully with everyone else. This man (Gideon) is the kind of person, that is the reason we can never have peace.

However, in England, it’s considered rude to try to walk on a bit of pavement that already has someone else’s feet on it.

To travel around the West Bank, Palestinians go through multiple checkpoints, have Israeli soldiers shoving guns in their faces, need multiple passes and are only allowed to travel on certain roads. Perhaps we should introduce such a regime for Gideon Falter.

Falter has the attitude as: "Do as I say, not as I do". In other words we can do whatever we want to anyone, and they can't do anything. Some feel unable to voice their true opinion, for fear of backlash. I'm glad Jamal spoke out for those who are marginalised.
