- Sony SA-WM500 12 inch home active subwoofer + Dali Concept 1 2-way Bookshelf Speakers and Marantz SR5002 surround sound AV-receiver sound & bass excursion test. Nice, cheap HiFi stereo system setup that give amazing good performance - detailed sound with a lot bass. For sound recording I use Zoom H1 stereo recorder. For Dali bookshelf speakers I use SoundStyle Status ST122 speaker stands.

Great video.. wondering between this Sony Sub and the Polk Audio Monitor XT12 what would be better? I have a chance to buy any of them for about the same price. The Sony is 20 year old unit while the Polk is a new model.. that said, lots of time older stuff is MUCH better built and overall higher quality that the new things. I have no idea which to choose as I have an opportunity to buy any of them for the same price..

The mic must go down low cos my 10" woofers were moving a fair bit @ a normal volume level. It's one thing for a speaker to go down, but another thing for mics going down (they go down if you pay enough).

It was so people can get a taste of how it plays lows, how loud the sub actually is. Obviously, nobody would listen to music like this...

@@randomweirdyoutubechannel8955 Everyone that starts with home audio usually tries to get as loud and as much bass as possible... but eventually you realise that being able to hit 20 Hz, getting a beautiful soundstage and relatively flat frequency response is actually a lot better than uncontrolled bass and loudness, in general, isn't as it used to be. A friend of mine got the Cerwin vega xls-28 and thought those were the best speakers ever... But after I listened to my uncle's 4k $ Pioneer S-3EX, that's when I realized that sound quality is so much more important than getting 115 dB at 60 Hz. Currently use RP-160M with the PB-1000, powered by a Hegel HD-11 DAC (got it from the same uncle) and the NAD D3045. Well, i get the best of both worlds, never got to hear the RP-160 since it was replaced with the RP-600M, so kind of just went for it since they cost 800$ here in Norway, and got them on sale for about 400$..

What do u mean reflex speakers Dali make hi end gift speakers and the Sony sub also looks very nice

For anyone who has never heard acoustic live music, it can be good.
@@janosnagy4382 true i have ditton 100 by celestion there sealed enclosure but they sound better than equvilent ones that are ported
@@Harryd06 There dont excist equivalent speakers. Ported speakers are very different then Closed. They cant be compared.
