I would keep both of those subwoofers since it's rare. I know you want to upgrade to a larger ported subwoofer, but what you have is a product that Sony was at it's prime other than the dual 12" SA-WX900. I recently bought my SA-WX700 last year from Facebook marketplace, I regret not buying them new when they first were at Circuit City back in the days. I can imagine how two SA-WX700 must sound lovely since majority av receivers run two subwoofers. Anyways too bad the subwoofer is heavy and weighs a ton, if not I would buy both subs to add to my collection lol. Good luck on your sale, and who ever owns it has something special.
@@mcgerry696969 you have an SA-WX900? That subwoofer is ultra rare and more valuable than the SA-WX700. Did you get yours from the USA or from Japan. I only seen one from California at a Sony store.
I had to repair mine, but once I did it was impressive! I haven't used it much yet but it sure has power. If you get one and it's dead, it's only about $10 in parts to fix it, if memory serves I had to swap out some resistors.
Yep I haven’t had to fix mine yet I think the problem is he gets a small power surge when using the automatic on feature. I have never uses and automatically turn mine on and both have worked perfectly

It draws 70W from the wall socket. It's more likely 60W of amplifier power. Not 250W.

No sir, they are long gone and the cost to ship them there would be extremely expensive

I'm scared to try to "upgrade" or purchase a newer subwoofer, this thing is overkill, and I just have one... What do you think?
Two are always better than one. It actually makes a more balanced sound and helps eliminate dead spots in a room.
