I just got the SA-WMSP2 from a thrift store for $6. I cleaned it up and it works great. Shout outs to your microphone, it really picks up the bass without distorting.
If you get one... on your AV Receiver, put the volume up all the way in settings. If it's too loud, then just turn it down with the handy knob on the unit.
I have fun thrift store electronic shopping, too. Literally bought both of these after watching once before cuz fuck it, it was like 20 bucks for both. The silver one specs out at a 100 watt (95) online, while the black one specs day 50. Played them both right next to each other and shockingly, the black one with the less wattage played much louder than the silver one with more wattage. It was quite noticeable. Was hoping they were the variants with the exact same driver cuz my 3 year old wants a surround sound like dada too, so was gonna make him one out of both 😂 lol 3 year old wanting subs, must be the genes. But yeah, black one played significantly louder and I didn't expect it
I found the black one in the trash! I hooked it up and it works, but I noticed something weird. If you give it a slow descending sine sweep, at about 26hz and lower the output about doubles! I think it's something built into the Amp to make movies sound good, but for music it sounds like shit, I wish I knew how to bypass that part of the circuitry.
Most tvs dont and they use really small drivers and would be a huge waste of time building boxes to achieve no spl or usable volume, also I cant find the driver parameters of tv speakers

@@dylanbehrsystems9321 Interesting. I used the same phone for my videos for a couple years, but it doesn't pick up much bass below 45Hz. They gray one will sound better if you replace the driver with something better

Another tip some Tv's have really good speakers inside. You can make your own speakers with great results.

Sony's sound louder though
The mic doesnt pick up as low the soundqubed is way louder and deeper
And I think that it's way better than the Logitech z2300 subwoofer in my opinion because Logitech is overrated
