I love the light tent photos at 7:21 because you actually synced the camera shutter sound to the song and I really appreciate these details Peter! Anyone else?
A Lazy Susan with tripod threads would be cool. Pop that sucker onto sticks, sit the camera on top and BAM! Welcome endless spinning b-roll. Great video, Pete!
Even when a video of your is like 15 minutes I never get bored at watching. You have like this... Energy and I just want to continue watching. You're awesome! Keep making videos !!!
Lazy Susan’sare also great for airbrushing! 👍 And let me tell you about the hair of s golden retriever. I have no idea how you manage to wear so much black 🤯
I love mirrorless cameras because you have a super high quality EVF built in and don’t need to rely on the back of the monitor. Great for video and photo!
The lazy Susan! OMG that would be great for multi product shots well as in camera transitions. That light tent would also make a good travel light (especially for fill). I have that 5 in one reflector. It's pretty good! Thanks for the ideas/items that are cheaper.
Love how he says tack sharp, im a kind of begginer photographer and i went on a 30 hour course with a local photographer and his saying which he used everyday was pin sharp so gave me a little flashback
I use the lazy susan diferently: I have one under one of my printers and the other under a monitor, it makes them turn them a breeze and you would not imagine how many times this comes handy
Something about the term creator feels real good as a person scouring all the info he can and just made his first couple videos. . Intimidated by lack of skill and and ideas but relentlessly fascinated .. ....AAAAAAAHHHHHHH. AS PM sits somewhere brewing another cup of insanely cinematic coffee. AAAAAAHHHHHH. so much more interesting than trucking .... great content. Great personality . Great style . Thanks
I didn't know about the LCD Viewfinder before, that's soo cool. I was trying to take photos in the garden a couple days ago and couldn't see my screen at all with all the sun.
Anyone else more excited that Peter held a Sony camera? Ok here's my challenge for you Pete I want you to go out for a day and take photos and b.roll on that same Sony and come tell us your experience with ofcourse a dip into your captures. That would be so much fun.... I'm already pumped for it.
Total cost USD from Amazon, on day of release of this video: $97.96 Nice list. I am not sure if I feel better when you recommend something I have, or give me an idea for something I want. Win-win.
First vid of yours I've seen and its very helpful for someone like me starting out. Some people just list things and I hate it, you've shown what you like and how it can be used. Thank you
PETER MCKINNON YOUR VIDEOS ARE ALWAYS ON POINT! You've inspired me to also start a channel where I produce weekly content on photography vlogs and the behind the scenes of different photoshoots. If anyone wants to follow me along in this journey/is interested in that type of content and wants to support a fellow youtuber out that would be GREATLY appreciated. Peace.
Thanks! Just purchased the mini tripod based on this review for our trip to Colombia next month. I'm looking forward to documenting our trip and this will be very helpful for the vlogging moments! Cheers!
Yes! This is exactly the type of content I was missing here. Budget stuff for ... I'd say most of us here. Big thumb up Peter and hopefully we'll see ep.2
The 0562cf was my first ZT. You NEED the 0393 and the 0804cf next! The 0804cf is discontinued now but it's my favorite knife. All black carbon fiber... tasty
Manfrotto actually have a mini tripod a size larger than that, nad i have used mine very often. Because of the small size i take it everywhere, even when i think i'm not going to need one, just because it is so small and light. Used it A LOT with my Nikon d7100 + sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4 with very good results and it holds it really well. Also used it a lot as a simple and light foot for flashes and with the manfrotto phone clip.
Love that kind of videos, im starting in photography and not you only show the product you explain how it works and you gave me a lot of ideas. Keep up the good work we love your videos.
Probably the only Canadian TH-cam that actually puts the price in CAD. Thanks Peter!
He didnt put any prices...
@@DrAElemayo do you literally not see the prices listed beside the products
First thing I noticed 🙂. We The North. 🇨🇦
I totally agree😂
CAD = 30% Off for the US 😏
Lazy Susan - camera holder by day, cake holder by night. Couldn't ask for anything more
Multitasking!
LOL! Plate by night.
You, Sir, just made my day!!
@@marcdietrichphoto Haha glad to help out! 😁
For a thing called lazy Susan, not so lazy now huh!
Wait...Peters doing a video on something I can afford???!!!!!🤔

There's so much budget gear, he should keep doing these.
THE SALT.... LOL
Is this a reference to the VND
LMAO RIGHT CUZ I STILL CAN'T GET THE ND FILTERS
Lol he tried but it looks like he hated all of it
Literally got that 5 in 1 reflector from neewer a few weeks ago. It's great. In the US it's $18
Luna Wroblewski I thought you wrote “a feewer weeks ago” and I was really happy for a moment
@@davidramms I could edit it to say that if you'd like
I have it too
Watching Peter at 1.5X speed is a whole new experience 😂
Ahahahah OMG. He looks like a Psycho 😂
1.5 speed when he flipped open the knife got me weak😂
Omg I just rewatched this is crazy
When you’ve had too much coffee/sugar 😂😂

Peter the king of details !
These earlier upload times are giving me life!! 🙌
I'd like to thank you Peter for providing great entertainment while I'm taking a poo, you always seem to upload at just the right time😊
Yep, he’s uploading while you’re downloading. Perfect synergy ...
I actually own that reflector. It is absolutely the best for portrait photography. That light tent is awesome. Gonna go through your link.
I didn't know you, but your excitement and your joy is perfect. Happy to follow a new photographer on TH-cam !
4:13 This will be the closest to seeing Peter vlogging with a Sony camera xD
haha lolz
A Lazy Susan with tripod threads would be cool. Pop that sucker onto sticks, sit the camera on top and BAM! Welcome endless spinning b-roll. Great video, Pete!
I use the lightbox and the 5-in-1. NEEWER has decent gear. We need MORE Bizarro Pete! Every time you look off camera, I get excited!
Even when a video of your is like 15 minutes I never get bored at watching. You have like this... Energy and I just want to continue watching. You're awesome! Keep making videos !!!
Same
A grey card would've been a GREAT item too!
The stability comment with the view finder is core to videography imo. Having that eye piece to brace your camera gives you a lot more stable image
Already own that exact tripod and that exact reflector!! So useful
Glad to see someone talking about a lazy Susan for photos!
Peter talks about 2 minute Tuesday,
I look at the time of the video,
*Typical McKinnon*
I literally use a 5 in 1 reflector as a landing pad for my drones too in deep grass or sandy areas!
The last sneez....... BLESS YOU.... always waited for the BTS sequence.. just like in MARVEL movies....❤❤❤❤
I definitely could find use in the light tent and the 5 in 1 reflector ! Thanks for sharing this!

What you mean for $10 I don't get that tasty Canon cinema lens?! Blasphemy!

I don't eat, while I'm fasting
You are a blessing to new photography enthusiasts.
This is very useful for me
Because I prefer low budget product but I don’t compromise me on low quality. This thing are Great 👍
Peter, your videos are simply fun to watch. Informative, but fun. Thanks!
i have the mini tirpod and it works amazingly!!!
you think that mini tripod could handle my 600d?
@@faustinozapanta good question man
if you are not putting a heavy lens on it, then yes
thanks for the feedback, been thinking bout getting for a long time
I like seeing the timer and having it turn red when you pass two minutes. It adds a tiny bit of comedy.
Bless up fam
I'm ordering my 5 in 1 reflector right now. Literally! Thanks Peter!

Did Peter just touch a Sony camera and not burn or melt away!?!? OMG everything IS possible!

P.S. Love your vids man
The LCD Viewfinder was one of the first accessories I bought for my Canon T2i back in the day. Loved it
4:08
So Peter uses sony a7III behind the scenes.
I thought Peter is anti-sony.
he shoots canon not anti-sony and the sony he had probably belonged to Matti Haapoja this was when they shared an office
Yes finally a video with affordable kit..... Thank you Peter.....
Ikea sells a great wooden lazy suzen for about 10$. Definitely better than this one.
Great stuff 😌
God, I enjoy these. The UNDER 50 is an absolute grabber. That light tent could also be a light fill source! Niiiice. Thanks buddy!
So, i'm now *250$ lighter* ..
Can't wait to play with the ney toys ! I'm sure i'll not be the *only one* !
haha, thanks for the video !
I'm sure i'm not the only one, haha !
Actually less than $100USD.
I plan to DIY a few of these. Thanks Peter.
So excited to see a notification pop up on my mac screen, thinking I'll be a first to see the video...but no. 1500 views already lol.

Amazing video.. He is super creative!! 💯🔥🔥😁😎😎😊
As a beginner enthusiast I like this one a lot. Thanks Peter.
I just ordered the mini tripod we'll see
The way he says whatsup everybody sounds like he is beatboxing
How is there not a Peter McKinnon Budweiser Bwhasssup comemercial?! Can someone make this happen?
I love the Manfrotto Pixi Xtreme. I use it all the time as a grip for my point and shoot.
Shooting a short film this summer. Think that viewfinder is worth it with my low budget Peter?
The one he linked here is 13 dollars, I just picked one up... Looks like a very useful tool!
I would say it depends on your budget. But seems great for those bright outdoor days!
If u have to ask, the answer is no. Just get it bro! You won’t regret it (:
I needed that 5 in 1 Neewer diffuser this weekend for my portrait session. Unfortunately I did not have it. I am buying that right now!
Peter performs brain surgery😚😚🤤💀 1:33
Lol so true
I always get hypnotised seeing you opening stuff
How is it 45comments already😂 I think youtube should make a bell icon to notify us 5 minutes before you upload 😂😂😂🙌🏽🙌🏽
@S Tra for good content....yes I am😃
Thanks Mr. McKinnon! I just ordered the viewfinder, it's going to be a big help as I shoot in the bright sun a lot.
Have you considered... TEN minute tuesdays? Or twelve? I wouldn't mind twenty either.
Loving the outtakes at the end of the videos. Rock on Peter
The early bird gets the heart?
The small light box is really cool. I have one too
I recommend the Evo version of the Manfredo tripod it’s better and I did a bad review of it on my TH-cam channel😂🔥
Dude! Watching your intros and videos is what never get old!!
Just change it to 10 min Tuesday
The mini tripod is amazing! I always ponder what's a good mini tripod to use. Thanks so much for the suggestion Peter!
"Not a product placement in any way"
"I get a little bit of a kick-back from this :))"
Okaaay.
It's not a product placement. Literally anyone can get kickback from amazon affiliate links.
These bloopers... they were the best!
I still use my Sony A6000, those acessories are expensiver than my cam🤷♂️
camera gear/lens always cost more than the body
I wish a have a a6000, i use my canon 1300D entry dsrl, its all about the lens
Love the 5 in1 great item. The lazy Susan is a great idea. Like the light box also
hold on.. did you just say the dutch word stoel at 8:04?
Ridiculous LCD viewfinder. No need for that in the mirrorless world 😎
Amazon doesn't need to sponsor anyone xd
Great ideas Pete, I have the little tripod for my mirrorless it's a ripper I use it all the time especially for low angle shots
Who knows Peter from ellusionist??
Ngu Ley Chun me

The Light Tent is great! Thx for this tip... appreciate for quick macro shots on location.
