What are you going to play first?
Age of Wonders 4 is the most fun I've had with a 4x game in ages. I could've slept, sure. But the faction designer just holds endless possibilities and combinations. Necromantic undead dwarf liches just speaks to me on a personal level.

I tried out one of the standard ones in the base tutorial missions but kinda abandoned the run because I got busy with other things. May make a new race instead for the second try...
One thing I kinda wanna see is if you can make a Shadow + Order combo to double donw on the holyness and undeath to make divinely ordained Zombies, Liches etc... the holy Lich Emperor of Divine Doom sounds like a fun title^^
So we've got Sigmarite Skaven, Elsa's Thousand Tadpoles, the Shire after the Apocalypse, the Kingdom of Shrek, and the Dwemer.

Elves who are, mechanically, dwarves...
A few of my RP game : Underground scourge : Underground adapted ratkin barbarian with destined destroyer culture trait, and full on chaos build. Every time you burst from the underground, every city nearby burn.
The Snow goblin : Mystic goblinkin which are all around casting spell and fielding huge army of battle mage and which ultimate pursuite is just to cover the whole realm with snow buy covering it with cities or vassal city and casting the terraforming artic spell on them
This is awesome content! Would love to see more ideas. I have been playing around in the faction creator since launch, looking forward to eventually starting a game
if you are playing psychic toads you have to call them kislev circus.

I have some truly psychotic ideas for Factions.
The Planned DLC will only make it more unhinged.

I'm still thinking of you playing Mount and Blade 2, in a Roman Faction, and trying to take over the world, but in a different way...
I actually thought of making Mystic or Fuedal Toad/Frog race that focus more on nature aspects such as water and the green tomes basically forests and alike they'd be friendly and their ruler would be a champion
My first race was Cannabinar, High Lord of the Smoking Toads. He taught the world how to blaze with the funeral pyres of his enemies.

@@childrenofthesun471 It was pretty good too. Awakened is one of the most slept on mechanics- it's a better Starblades in the early game that you don't need to spend mana on at its absolute worst. I ended up mostly in Chaos and Nature tomes (to get Herbalists for the dank herb, but also for mana), but it was way stronger than I'd thought it would be.
The Frogs and Elves interest me.

Barbarian halfling, yes!!!! In fact we need a movie of this!
Trying to unite the 4 Imperiums, between West, East, North, and South, and declare war on all the other factions. The difference would be, as you attack all the other Factions, you also INDIRECTLY destroy the other Roman factions. Like when you have your party, and have allied parties which command their forces, you don't actually help them out as much, and wait for them to be mostly destroyed. And like in a seige, the 4 Imperiums take on the Aserati, or Carthaginians, or something like that, and they have catapults and ballistas; when you get on the walls, and start shredding all of the enemies on the walls, you actually leave the enemy seige equipment operational to destroy ally forces, but keep your forces at the end of the map, so they stay intact, and things like that. After you took the whole map with your allies, you should have indirectly wasted as much manpower as possible, and then your Roman Faction should be strong enough to destroy the other surviving Roman Factions, and ensure united power of the 4 Roman Imperiums, and rule as the one and only Emperor.
Magic build all the way, the stacking cost reduction for combat spells + the spell that clones your units to 2 is absolutely ridiculously OP. I beat 2k+ stacks with 700-800 armies with that. Not to mention Frenzy and all that, even rank 1 casters become OP glass cannons.
I hope you make a follow up. I hate it when content creators accept sponsorships, and then never bring up those sponsors again (hello, Raid Shadow Legends). Plus this game looks really interesting!

@@SurrealBeliefs I played the previous one, and I liked how it was just a straightforward fantasy 4x game. Endless Legend might be better, and have a more original artstyle, but I still have a soft spot for knights and goblins. I believe there’s also a Warhammer one, but I’ve heard mixed things about it
The different culture recruitment could stay the same, and also recruit as many prisoners as possible, and sell the rest, or even execute traitors, Faction leaders, and those who were a complete pain in the back. Probabaly setting the whole game into Maximum difficulty, including enemy army sizes and garrisons, and so on, to make the campaign a bit more intresting... Endless possiblities of a new, different, and intresting way to play the game. PLS CONSIDER MY WHOLE IDEA.
Cant afford a new game, but this is a really cool video for you to do for the community!

Pretty much! I liked the idea that even if the rats were to turn good, they would have some kind of repulsive behavior that would be rat like.
Frogkin barbarians modeled off the mongol horde. Even works down to mounted archers
