There are no greeks living in Boboshtica. I know because I have cousins there and visit them every year. A lot of people have worked in Greece and they have learned the greek language there. There are a few villages near Gjirokastra where ethnic greks live. Gjirokastra

A wonderful video of simpler and peaceful life in a village. People, nature, farm, cheese, bees, cooking, food... all fantastic! I wish I could take my grandsons one day to that village for a few days of vacation before I disappear from this world. They should see the real beauty of a meaningful life, different from a mechanical life in a large North-American city. I have met several Albanians in the past. They were like the people in the video: Without exception, they were all helpful, respectful, friendly and honest (and tiny bit stubborn too :)).

Honney don't make us Greeks! I'm an Orthodox Albanian not Greek. Orthodoxism don't belong only to Greeks. Don't offend us please! My ancestors fought and died for that church.

The Greek minority is about 40.000 people and its promoting alot of political hate by giving passports to Christian orthodox Albanians of they declear they are Greeks
They want to Grab Albanian territory and influence politically
They are very dangerous political the people are simple but i have met alot of racists living in Albania working owning buisness and being racist

We respect "greek" minority as long as they dont have nationalistic views imposed by athens government. We have been raised together the ones creating division are the politics. They are not just greeks they are Greco-Albanians

@@AzerPaul very true , those lands were allways mixed with different ethnicities, but often people use this argument to justify their globalist ideologies, it's cool to have a village with albanians and then a few kilometers away a village with greeks, but the point is that we need to preserv that, beeing a little conservatives dosen't mean that you have to hate all people around you, of course it is important to take care of your people, your culture and traditions ,not like those globalist who wants to destroy everything, but it is also important to repsect people from the next village. I miss the times of empires....

Boboshtice is famous for its Mulberries and that raki is from Mulberries. By the way you can make raki from just about anything be that fruits, plants or trees but mainly it's made of grapes. We Albanians take a special trip to Boboshtice only to eat mulberries there. Lakror is a type of byrek but in the south-eastern region it's called lakror. The only problem I have with it is that when they bake it they burn the top. If that sac cover were to stay a bit higher and the baking process create rather a brownish crust it'd be perfect but otherwise it is heavenly delicious. Glad you met our best side, the true Albania. You hit the nail on the head. And if you have Italian heritage you more likely might have some Albanian ancestry as Illyrians and Romans travelled and migrated vice-versa in both lands, today's Italy and today's Albania. By the way legend goes Rome was founded by two Albanian brothers Romulus and Remus and our ancestors were under Roman conquest for 6 centuries.

Everyone in this video is Albanian. No one is Greek. Unfortunately, some southern Albanians close to the Greek border are in the slow and generational process of assimilation (willingly and unwillingly) sponsored by the orthodox church. Due to this, many of the Albanians in the south have identity issues (much like the entirety of Greece). 🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱

How you dare spreading greek propaganda.. these people were talking to you in ancient Albanian and protoIllyrian languages, who who has no connection with greek whatsoever.. you may have drank too much rakjia (that wasn't ouzo he was just trolling you) and heard greek words. but also names like constantinos and michail have albanian origin, even the name greece is an albanian word ...
There's also a village next to Coritsa called Moschopolis who is totally brainwashed with greek propaganda.. glad you didn't came there to see what the greek propaganda made to these poor illyrian brothers.... orthodox churches, and a history of lies who says that there was one of the first press ever in 1700 and one of the biggest greek center in the Balkans....they also dared to call it Nea Athina before the great albanian ali pacha buried it down around 1820..

Even our names and the names of the villages are Greek. Either learn history or live in ignorance and hate. There is no shame to accept a part of the territory has shared culture with Greece.
