Djuradj Kastriot - Skenderbeg was a Serbian, his father vas Jovan, mother Voisava and most of them were buried in the Hilandar Monastery, the Serbian Orthodox Church (Athos, Greece).
Albanians do not have their own heroes because the tribes were brought in recent history. All buildings and monasteries were built by Serbian rulers.

The monastery of hilandar was given to the Serbs by the Orthodox Patriarchate in the 17th-18th centuries. The monastery was Albanian and there are still frescoes in Albanian with the Hellenic alphabet as well as the main tower where Albanian knights are buried as the father of George Kastrioti bears the name of the Tower is Albanians Tower

my guy, big up to you. You're doing this series the right way... telling it like it IS! Your approach is realistic and refreshing. It seems you've done relevant research and hopefully you continue to portray your travels in the same way. If you like Albania and the Balkans in Winter/Autumn, Im guessing you will go crazy in Summer, its much busier, roads are more jammed, accommodation is more expensive but the atmosphere is electric. Perhaps check it out in the future.

Great video man! Thank you for your interest and for sharing it with us. Well done. There so many statues and memorial plaques of Skënderbe around the world.
Brother there is so much truth that has been hidden over the centuries to erase the Albanian language... still to this day. Purposely done.
Pellazgian Illyrian Albanians have been in that part of the world before there was anyone else! Before even there existed anyone else. Before Romans and whoever else. Please do not take my word for it though, just read literature from Albanologist historians around the world. You will find things that will “blow your mind” beyond fascinating. Facts hidden to conceal the truth. But this is the century of the Albanian truth to come out. Truth always shines!
The Albanian language is obviously the oldest on IndoEuropean That’s why it has its own branch. Basically all of Europe and even further than that are actually speaking Albanian and they don’t even know it... Search and you shall find, if you wish my friend.
Enjoy it to the fullest. Respect. 👐🏻

Albania, the historical land of the Crusaders and the defenders of Rome. It’s only appropriate that our national flag is actually a Roman war flag, look it up. The double headed eagle is a later Roman symbol (Byzantine) and the black version on a red background was mainly used at warfare by Romans but it later came to signify Albanians as a people since Skanderbeg used it and United all Albanians around it. Skanderbeg was considered the shield of Europe by the Ottomans and he has a statue of himself in most western capitals. Not a wonder the Turks and the Orthodox subjugated us so hard, when we were the true defenders of Western Europe. Loved this video, much thanks. 🙏🤝🇦🇱🇺🇸🇻🇦

Every European capital city has got a major street or square named after Scanderbeg.
Even Serbia which is pretty much an enemy of the Albanian people, has got a major street in the centre of Belgrade named after Scanderbeg.
"Skenderbegova ulica". (Look it up on Google maps)
In Bulgaria and Hungary one of the most important lessons pupils in primary school are taught is Scanderbeg, and how he led a small country to successfully defeat the greatest military power of his time, the Ottoman empire.
Scanderbeg is used as motivation for the kids to teach them not to be scared when facing major adversity.
Even today's turks greatly respect the figure of Scanderbeg.
Because he beat them fair and square and so they respect that.
If they come across an exceptionally angry or stubborn person, they have a saying in Turkey:
    "As angry as an Albanian."
    "Arnavut inati" 😅 🇦🇱 🇹🇷
A turkish TH-camr namend Harp Tahiri has uploaded a very interesting video about Scanderbeg battles against the Ottomans.
The video title is "Arnavutluk Fethi"
It is an interesting video because it portrays Scanderbeg's battles against the Ottomans from the Ottomans perspective. ✌🇦🇱

@Souliotis - Majority of Albanians are against mosques.
Governments cause these problems for the everyday people.
Your government and politicians in Greece have done the same thing to the people of Greece.
Albania is in the same situation.

    • @ToxicVaccines_HivHoax
      @ToxicVaccines_HivHoax 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Souliotis - The thing with you greeks, serb, russians, ect, you claim that you do not like a country like Albania because of muslim population.
However this is a major lie! Ye do not care about religion! Ye only care about satisfying your territorial greed.
Greece attacked Bulgaria, an Christian orthodox country, in WWI. And has been hostile and has territorial claims against North Macedonia, another Christian orthodox country.
Serbia has been hostile and attacked Slovenia, and Croatia both Christian countries.
Russia has attacked and invaded Georgia, and Ukraine, both Christian countries.
So don't come here acting like some kind of Christian Saint complaining about mosques.
The real motivation for your hostility towards Albania is foolish territorial greed.

Good effort, a few inaccuracies: The roman who spread christianity and made it legal within the empire was Constantine the Great. He was illyrian (proto-albanian) from Nis (today's serbia) note that slavic ppl came south into the Balkan Peninsula after the 6/7th century, while Nis even durin Ottoman empire belonged to one of the Albanian vilyayets . So really Albanians became christians before the west did.
